  1. You can buy the field respec and level in other in other trees rather than suffering through the low damage of the heal tree. The field respec would then allow you to switch back over to healing for flashpoints or pvp. If you dont have access to that, I would just respec at the fleet and stick with damage for leveling. Its very fun to do healing while leveling unless you have a very well geared companion. If you are subscribed, the respecs are free.
  2. You may also want to work on lower fight, such as fps, or hm fps. The fights are different, but the basics are the same. Learn those fights like the back of your hand, and you will learn other fights faster and know what to look for. You also want to understand why a fight is done like it is. For instance why do the isotopes need to be low? Also apply this to flashpoints. If you know why they are done a certain way, you can apply it to other fights. The more fights you learn, that faster you will learn other ones. You will start to see patterns. You should also check out Dulfy, she does the guides on her website. Take a look at the fights because I believe they are done from a sorc healer's perspective.
  3. One of the best things you can do as a tank, is to play a healer. I used to do almost only tanking, but once I got a few more 55s, I started doing other roles some. There are people better than you, and you can pick up tricks from them. I hit 50 back when LI Hm was fairly tough in group finder. Watching others tank the fights, I saw what I was doing differently, and what they were doing wrong. For instance sometimes standing in a certain spot can cause a healer to have to move or is just annoying in some way, but you will not know that until you try to heal that fight. Other things, always build shield and absorb over endurance, endurance is pointless in most fights. Learn the fights before you try them, and look for tips to make the fights easier. As a tank, I would almost never have a mic step up with my guild when raiding and doing tfb hm before 2.0, but was still able to preform due to watching the fights, and doing the lower raids many times before. You are often expected to be the leader as a tank, so dont get angry, you can almost always take a group through a raid if they want to learn. Basically, just know your stuff and watch others doing it, and make the fight as easy as possible for everyone else.
  4. Looks like we are getting some players, if we would like an imp team we would need some more people on imps. I would also like to hear some times that would work for people that do not interfere with the current rateds or raids. If you respond now I will plan around it, so make sure to get those times up.
  5. PVP Pick Up League I was looking to put together a "PVP Pick Up League" to give more people a chance to do pvp and have fun. This league would involve a draft to even out teams and the a few pvp games once a week or every few weeks. This would allow more pve players to get involved as well. I will do my best not to enforce a gear requirement, but common sense should be used. My goal is to get as many of different types of players in to these games as possible. If this started to get more popular a several week season could take place, followed by a playoff to find the best team. Teams would be able to trade and pick up new comers during the season. Teams will be around 12 players to allow rotations and subs. The goal is not to be the best, (thats what rateds are for), but to have some fun and get the hard core pve players in some pvp. Games would be rated games, but all ratings will be ignored for the most part and instead records will be kept track of in a thread. This would allow all games to be kept track of for easy balancing in the league to avoid one team crushing all the others. If you are interested sign up in this thread along with possible times to play, classes and specs (play anything, even if its a class you would never play in rateds), and if you think you can get a few friends or guildies involved as well. My goal is to have 2 teams to get started soon. You do not any rated experience to join. It would also be good to have some voice communication for your team if possible and let me know if you are willing to run a team. If you have any suggestions on how this can be improved let me know.
