  1. More of my pvp pepole than I expected for sure.

I'm trying to get back to it BUUUUUT.... did you know that shadows/sins can CC you from a million meters away now? I was playing merc healer when it happened and I thought to myself, about time those assassins got some pvp love, cause they was so weak.

    Look for meh in game.

  2. Gonna need to put some pressure on my guild to get some Shadows and Vangaurds to sixty.

The Silver Order definately not a pvp focused guild, but we fair very well against most of the guilds listed. Atleast in regs.

If we could get some more FoTM sixties on the line, maybe we may have more of a presence in ranked, but with the current itteration of balance being what it is. I doubt that will really happen this season.

Experiment anyways. After School Kids do extremely well with their double snipers and you guys have Slitch which isn't a bad start. Maybe mix him in with a madness sin or a PT ... maybe even a combat sent for funzies. You're not bad at healing at all so give it a go. Reach out to Lords of the Ring who have some very strong players but as I understand it they struggle coordinating schedules ; pool your resources and you may find an exciting effort in ranked. Talk to me too. I'm not afraid to run a less than FOTM team and many of my guys are aching for an opportunity to play less common specs. We ran double concealment the other night and, personally, I would love a chance to heal again on my merc. I wouldn't mind shoving a sonic rebounder up the darkest part of the Slitches lily white arse anyways.

  3. Thanks for all the WoX support guys!

You know, a lot of us are old school 8v8 ranked players, and we don't care about number padding. Some of us only play to win, and play objectively; I couldn't care less about numbers for example. :)

Numbers don't matter except for the other team trying to kill you first.

  4. Any reasonable person knows madness sin needs to be toned down. Unfortunately, the devs in charge of swtor pvp were the guys in charge of warhammer. A game that failed so badly and whose development team was so out of touch and unresponsive EA had shut down all servers after only a few short years of operation.

So ..good luck convincing them. They have their unique vision of the game and they adhere to it no matter how bad the player experience.

    eq. Warhammer

  5. Merc / Mando need adjustments. period. Rob Hinkle is repeating his mistakes on Warhammer. He won't adapt his vision of the game to the player's experience. Which is miserable for us.

  6. Merc heal output is more than fine, our aoe heals were buffed and we have the best burst in the game. Dot spread does nothing but up my eHPS.

Merc is sorely lacking specifically because of Dot spread.

This isn't a pve discussion. I don't speak on that subject, I don't like pve.

If you make this argument in regards to pvp that it's clear you don't pvp at a high level and therefore you and I don't have much to talk about.

  7. The class has been blacklisted in pvp for over 2 years now. We've seen dozens of patches and 2 expansions come down the pipe and with every one of them I had a small hope that a positive adjustment would finally place my favorite class (only one I enjoy playing) in an acceptable position.

What's the problem? Is it possible the designer(s) is (still) over estimating the impact heavy armor has on pvp? Overestimating the impact range has on a match? Are you designing the class around an arbitrary mathematical sweet spot or around the end-user's experience? Because if its the latter you have work to do.

On paper, healy merc mandos looked poised for some well deserved pvp uptime in the 3.0. But then you introduced dot spread, which so perfectly countered the class's strength (single target) that I find myself wishing for pre 3.0 bodyguard tree.

Leave me alone and I'll dps well enough, look in my general direction and my output plummets. But who worth playing is going to ignore a merc in an arena?

    The class lacks an option.

It really just boggles my mind when I look at the overwhelming DCDs of the classes. It just doesn't make sense to me. Can you explain it please. Am I missing something here?

    ps. Regs don't count.

  8. Operatives do pull ahead of mando but you're not at that level. For right now, just assume that you can do more and work towards it. Combat medic is the most difficult spec to heal well with (imo), but it can be and is done by a few. If you're on harbinger there's a couple of mando/merc healers that prove it and I'm sure other servers each have their own. Just ask them what they're doing.

  9. I think the main reason the pvp is so bad is because the server is so RP heavy. You call for help at snow and it takes them ages to come from grass because they're all rp walking

Nothing like RP strolling the last score.

  10. Harbinger has a healthy pvp community. Premades run on both side, which ever one is on usually dominates the field. Many people are transferring here from pot5 and Bastion. Personally, i know Harbinger beats pot5 for pvp. I can't speak for Bastion.
