So basically world RP is dead on this server and it only takes place in guilds, or in private discussion?

Is there a channel I can join to set up RP? Once again i'm new to this server, I'm kind of disappointed because I expected more random RP encounters than I am currently seeing.

Yes as Darka stated, there needs to be a hub other than the cantina where RP takes place. As someone who just transferred to this server, I am having somewhat of a hard time finding players to RP with,

Outside of the typical fleet and nar shadda cantina. I've been looking through cantina's and spaceports on random planets hoping to run into individuals actively RP'ing to no avail. Does RP happen in random locals on this server? I am genuinely curious on this one. Thanks.

That is some faulty logic. Here are some facts. Our server is the most underpopulated server in the US. If by some chance I overstated that, then it is at least in the top 3. With that said, there is a RP server that has a larger population and they actively pvp there. Would it not make sense to allow players on that server the chance to transfer to a RP-PVP server? I doubt a majority of Jung Ma's population would transfer to Ebon Hawk (maybe another pvp server), but I am almost certain a good amount of Ebon Hawk would transfer to Jung Ma if given the opportunity. You can be happy with a underpopulated server all you want, you found your community and that is great. All I want to do is expand our community so we can have more than the same few faces in our RP, competitive pvp, and progressive raiding (Republic side). I'm not trying to create forum drama, I'm actively putting ideas out that will help our server survive the transfers of 2.2. P.S. Imperials have a better population on Jung Ma than the Republic. source: I play on republic and imps.

you totally misinterpreted what I was saying, I proposed the opportunity for individuals to transfer between servers for free. Since we cannot merge the two servers due to one being pve and the other pvp it gives the opportunity for individuals to choose where they would like to go. I plan on staying on Jung Ma myself but I fear that a majority of players won't.

I propose bioware opens free character transfers between The Ebon Hawk and Jung Ma for the preservation of our RP community. By doing this, those who wish to bring over their entire guild and experience RP-PVP can do so at not cost, and those who would rather RP-PVE can do the same. Consequently both servers will remain intact post 2.2 and Jung Ma will once again have competitive PVP. Of course bioware won't do this because it makes too much sense.

I just returned here and I plan to stay, This server just has the best community. Bird Clan, best clan!

It's more about escaping the heteronormative views of most gamers. For example, all too often players refer to negative aspects of gaming as "gay" and while this may not be offensive to all homosexuals, to some it is and I would like to establish an ingame environment where LGBT members can interact and game with other LGBT members unperturbed. On an anecdote, all males on vent flirting with the one female member makes me personally uncomfortable, as well as a bunch of guys talking about their sex lives. I'm sure you wouldn't want to hear about mines. Trust me you may not understand, but guilds like these have a purpose.

With the growing server community due to f2p, I feel now would be a great time to have one on The Shadowlands. The Harbinger has a few, why not us? First and foremost we're gamers, so everyone is welcomed to join. If you're new to TOR or a veteran player such as myself (been here since pre-launch) let me know here and we'll start planning the details. The idea behind this guild will be to assist new players with leveling and learning the game in a non-discriminatory setting. Ultimately, I'd like to see this guild to grow and do progressive raiding and ranked PVP. . Likeminded LGBT gamers such as myself who enjoy the social aspect of mmo's as well as the competitiveness of PVE/PVP content would be a great fit. New players, established players, alts, and of course you server hoppers out there are more than welcomed to join.

I'm in the same boat but support hasn't helped me one bit.

First off, I'm posting here because I am unable to post on the customer service section of the forum because my account still hasn't been upgraded to subscriber status as of 11/15/2012 despite the 60 day game-time code I provided. With that said, I resubscribed to this game foolishly falling for your marketing strategy of rewarding complementary cartel coins to past subscribers. I not only didn't receive my 2300 coins, but I was lied to by customer support after waiting on the line for 5 hours! The respresentative told me I should expect it within 48 hours. Excuse me, but stop lying to your customers and providing generic answers and ignoring their stipulations. I told your "highly trained staff" that it's been 5 days and he just repeated the darn 48 hour window bs like a drone. Mind I was a lot more respectful to him than I am now because frankly he's not to blame as i'm sure the upper echelons force employees to regurgitate that crap. Oh, and after being told if it's been longer than 48 hours to call back even after explaining it has... I hung up and found my 3 customer support tickets to be deleted in game. Bravo! Please look into my case because I speak on behalf of all the people with issues when saying that this isn't the service we paid for.

Nov 2008 here, I will be playing for as long as they provide content as a subscriber. I'm a huge fan of bioware's work.
