Some of the folks here can correct me if I'm wrong or provide better specifics. I had the same problem as you as a returning player at level 60. I think the bolster system will bolster your PVE gear that is Rating 162 or below. I think that is your best bet. And then replace it with Exhumed Gear.

I think any class would be right for you for solo PVE. If you plan to group up I think an initial run through as a DPS (damage) oriented class would be the way to go. Yes. There is a Bank. Yes. You can send money to your other characters.

I think it is found through crafting missions... Its either Investigation or Underworld Trading. If you don't have the skill then you have to buy it

In my experience (NCAA Div I, Olympic Trials-- never made the top) delighting and mocking a downed opponent was considered low and poor sportsmanship and rarely practiced at the higher levels (quite different than "ribbing" ). Maybe athletics are different now, I guess. I, personally, don't care that much. I prefer the PuG v. PuG environment, but I still queue up regardless (A solo queue only day would be fun). I was merely trying to be constructive to keep people playing rather than push them out. But, as you say, you would rather they didn't play at all. And that's fine, I guess. Not really my style, since it is, after all, just a video game.

Well, most of those premades seem to have quite a bit of fun taunting, laughing at, and generally torturing the PUGs they play against. Makes it really seem like they do have quite a bit of fun just stomping them. Hell, most of the time they aren't even merciful enough to let them collect their defensive medals in Civil War or Novare. Gotta Three Cap those PUGs!

Very, very unfortunately not customizable in that way. The gear is so you can get the look you want that way (interchangeable gear mods), but not in the physical characteristics. Those are locked in for now

I agree with most of the post except the lament over the closing of the gear gap. I fully support the cheaper War Hero and the small gap between said War Hero and Elite War Hero statwise. Makes for a much more even playing field. And I grinded out the gear just like you...with the bags, with the comms, whatever.

I get them as drops sometimes, but very rarely. I think Biochem crafts implants and Cybertech crafts earpieces. You can also buy them from vendors and sometimes with commendations.

I agree 100 %. But, I usually don't do guilds due to my erratic schedule (less so lately) where I would be two or three weeks out of town (i.e. no computer access) and then home for a couple. So, I am left with the solo queue which gets very discouraging. And to be fair, I dont' like being WITH a premade against another PUG and stomping them either. I usually try to encourage the group I am with not to THREE cap and leave the defenders with a chance to at least win some defensive medals.

Bioware really needs an intelligent matchmaking system in place rather than the FIFO method they seem to use. Ideally AB and Empire/Guerilla would have been getting matched against each other and the several solo PuGs should have been getting matched up. Did this happen? Gemini and Kretan would be in (two different players) to try at least. My guess is though the other faction will get wind and try to crash your party. Ranked (what are essentially PUGS) on Republic side will have Guilds on the other side lining up to farm them. Kinda like they farm the PUG bracket. That being said, I'm willing to join in. Just post a time or send an in game message to the aforementioned characters.
