  1. The pack is going off the Cartel Market and will not be purchasable for Cartel Coins until the "embargo" is lifted.
  2. Nothing really big, just some small dialog. Some of the dialog is somewhat emotional though. If a companion has something big to say in a cutscene, you are required to use that companion for that cutscene.
  3. Might be the difference in servers. Those that do a LFG calls on Jung-Ma tend to be patient with those they pick up. GF groups are 50/50: some are like you described and others are patient.
  4. No, they should have been updated within the first hour of playing on the character, even if you had unlocked them before the achievements update. Sounds like that character had a bug that got all the achievement updates stuck. Support is the only way to get them back. I've seen the same on a few other players: it tends to be 1 achievement that keeps bugging out and not allowing the rest to update.
  5. They should update when you log into that Sorcerer on that server only, which may cause a problem if you transferred the Sorcerer before logging into that character. Speeders only unlock if you have unlocked them as an ability: they will not unlock just sitting in your inventory. If not, file a customer service ticket and wait 2-3 business days.
  6. Also, make sure he is not out on a crew skill mission. All crew members move most of the time to the crew skill workbench and are not able to be spoken too if they are on a crew skill mission. If he complete his mission or you cancel it, you may need to leave your ship and come back on for him to be in the correct spot. Also, the New Player's Forum is here: http://www.swtor.com/community/forumdisplay.php?f=8 . If you don't know where something is, let us know there and not in the Bug Forum, which is for widespread bugs in the game.
  7. Check if there are any more objectives. What is the current text of the [staged Weekly] mission say?
  8. Easiest way to do it is to be running when you hit covered escape. I can do it with only taking a few steps forward, but cannot do it standing still. Example of Rollbang in place:
  9. You can do that the other way too: romance Risha and then switch to Akaavi. The trick is to complete 1 companion dialog line until completion without talking to the other companion. Make sure you get the Legacy perk for that companion. Then, romance the other character. There will be a fight, where you need to choose the new companion. The original companion will take a huge affection hit, but will still be your wife. Finishing the second companion will make them your wife too. I believe you can do this with any character with multiple romance options. Proof: I did it on my first character: a Gunslinger.
  10. There is a lot of both. Certain companions will talk during cutscenes and every regular companion has at least 1 area dialog when entering a new zone.
  11. You can see how to get every +41 crystal here: http://dulfy.net/2012/05/07/endgame-color-crystals-post-1-2-and-how-to-obtain-them/ Yes, every level 10 +41 crystal does come from a pack, so the GTN is the only way to be guaranteed to get one. There are level 35 +41 Orange crystals directly from the Cartel Market, but nothing under level 35.
  12. Droid parts tend to be rare overall in the game. They also tend to sell slowly. For a Cybertech, there are a lot of other things you can make that will sell quickly and droid parts are excellent for RE'ing and getting Augment Parts to sell. Due to these reasons, you are likely not going to see many on the GTN. Some missions will give you modifiable droid parts for T7. Try using those and Planetary Commendation mods to gear him.
  13. Zen only lasts for about 15 seconds. You must have a target burning during this time from Cauterize or Overload Saber to get the heal. Note that it will only heal a max of 6 times for 1-2% of your max HP per heal / burn tick. (1.5% and 2% is only if you have the skill "Merciless Zeal.") This is only 12% max. The key to Watchmen is that at max level, you can use Zen almost every 10-15 seconds to get this bonus.
  14. Torhead.com allows you to search for missions and gives details on them. Note that it is only factual: no guides on how to beat the mission are given. You can search by multiple criteria, but it may just be easier to type in the mission's name.
  15. Are you in Juyo form? You can only heal off of the next 6 burn ticks after using Zen if you are in Juyo form for Watchmen spec.
  16. First, don't buy the Cargo Hold Unlock: now that your account will be Preferred after the end of your sub, you get the Cargo Hold Unlock for free. You can buy additional Cargo Bay Unlocks to have more room though. Yes, unlocks will stay unlocked even after the end of your subs if you buy and use them during or after your sub. You cannot use the 3rd Crew Skill Unlock while you are subbed, but you can buy it and keep it in inventory until after you sub. (And as I stated above, buy the Cargo Bay unlocks, not the Cargo Hold unlock. Nope, you get to keep him. You cannot make any new Chiss characters until you get him to level 50 or re-subscribe. You get to keep the security key after you unsubscribe. If you have any problems with it, you can remove it using the process listed above. You cannot re-attach a new one until you subscribe again. Typically, the only time people have problems with the key are lost or damaged phones and some phone Operating System upgrades.
  17. Not anymore. All that you need to do is log into the website without using your key. On the next screen, state that you lost your key. Follow the steps to remove it.
  18. Classic gear is Tier 2 and 3 level 50 gear. Basic gear is Tier 1 level 55 gear and has better stats than Tier 3 level 50 gear. You cannot buy or wear Basic, Elite, or Ultimate gear until level 55, but you can start wearing Classic gear now. Don't forget about the Makeb Planetary Comms vendor, which gives out Tier 1 level 50 mods. Op guilds are only necessary if you want to do Hard Mode and Nightmare Mode large group Operations. If you want to do PvP, small group Flashpoints, Story Mode Operations, or solo activities, you do not need an Op guild. I would still suggest joining a guild you like: some guilds hold special events and most are fun to be in and talk to a group of people you will get to know. There is a guide to what to do after you finish Corellia: http://dailypvp.com/games/star-wars-the-old-republic/guides/guide-to-star-wars-the-old-republics-story-after-chapter-3 . After Chapter 3, you have many paths more you can take. There is no "correct" path, but some of the suggested "streamlined" paths in that guide are similar to what is above. I would suggest doing Ilum though for the story: it is a direct continuation of Corellia and the class story and was the ending of the game when it originally released.
  19. The secret is to use the Planetary Commendations to buy the mods you need. Also, drops from certain missions and Flashpoints will give you modifiable gear that you can rip the mods out of and put in gear you like. Certain missions will give you mods. That way, you never need to pay for any mods, except to rip them out. Personally, while leveling, I only use modifiable gear on myself and just use a modifiable weapon for my companion and maybe 1 other modifiable armor. I also tend to skip the belt and bracers and just use regular armor for those. With that setup, you only need 5-6 Armorings, 1-2 Hilts/Barrels, 7 Mods, and 7 Enhancements to do a full upgrade of your character once every 4-6 levels or so. If you would use just Planetary Comms, it would take about 70 Planetary Commendations to upgrade. I tend to get about 80-90 every 4-6 levels or so. NEVER buy green or blue gear on the GTN while leveling. Save those credits for ability upgrades, a speeder, and Legacy Unlocks and Perks. You will need them.
  20. Properly called Relics of the Gree event. It is a recurring event on Ilum that usually occurs once every 3-4 months, but was never promised by BioWare to be a certain number of times per year. See http://dulfy.net/2013/02/12/swtor-relics-of-the-gree-event-guide/ for more info about the event.
  21. I suggest you start by reading this guide: http://dulfy.net/2013/07/28/swtor-bounty-contact-week-event-overview/ Note that the prices are out of date: everything is bought with Completed Contracts now and does not take any credits. Also, the BBA week is over now. It ended early this morning. Nope. The Weekly is for the Kingpin bounties and follow a different format that is geared towards a Heroic 2+ group mission. Note that if you can solo Heroic 2+ at your level, you should be able to solo this mission. If they are active missions, you can still do them. If they are the completed contracts, you can turn them in for prizes or more Kingpin bounties. Yes, you can still do it. It shows up under the "Events" category, not the Planet's Category.
  22. Before the F2P update November 2012, all species besides Humans, Cyborgs, and Zabrak could only be certain classes unless you already had one of that species to level 50. Now, you can bypass that with Cartel Coins or in-game credits. Actually, just to play the game, you had to subscribe to the game. You got a free month from buying the game (for $60 or more,) then had to pay $15 / month to just play. Now, you can play for free, but have some restrictions like the lockboxes and removing helmet. The "Hide Helmet" feature can be bought with Cartel Coins, in-game credits, or for free by subbing. You can just click the helmet to remove it, but you lose stats that way. The lockboxes are only for subs though. Ever since the game released, you had to pay $15 to post on the official forums. There is an unofficial SubReddit for those that do not want to pay $15 to post here: http://www.reddit.com/r/swtor Yes, because now you have two choices: Pay for a sub for $15 / month or less and get $5 or more worth of free Cartel Coins. Pay for the individual privileges with in-game credits or Cartel Coins. Before, you only had choice 1 without the Cartel Coins. More choices and more benefits are good for all players.
  23. That is your problem right there: Noxxic has bad advice at best. Some of it is the opposite of what you want to do; some of it is contradictory with itself. Dulfy.net, the class forums above, SWTORBoard.org, and experimenting should get you better. Also, make sure you are comparing apples to apples. Comparing your spec on an Ops boss to a parse on a dummy would show differences; even different bosses would show differences. Same thing with time: if a parse was from a long time ago or before a buff/nerf, don't compare against it.
  24. Read the stickies at the top of this forum then before posting: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=729911
  25. Really? Take a look at Torparse: 4 out of the 8 top parses on a dummy come from Ops / Scoundrels. (And most of the others are Gunslinges / Snipers using Scatter Bombs, which need to be nerfed.) Scoundrels / Ops can do high amounts of burst and sustained damage if they survive. Survivability issues aside, if Scoundrels / Ops were given more group utility for PvE, most Ops groups would choose only them. Who would you rather choose: a class with high DPS and average utility (what you are asking Ops to be) or one with average DPS and average utility (most other classes?) (Note: Scoundrels / Ops do need some buffs for survivability still. I haven't played with the 2.8 survivability buffs though to see if they are enough for the middle tree.)
