For those who said that people with high repair bills were lying. Here is the Dev post Hi everyone, Thank you all for your feedback on the changes to repair costs introduced with Game Update 1.7. Upon review, we agree with you that repair costs did become too high with this latest Game Update. To that end, we will be making a change to how these repair costs are calculated, starting with our next scheduled maintenance. Repair costs will now be calculated based on the combined value of all the mods installed in the shell, excluding the value of the shell itself. Players will see a noticeable reduction immediately after the change goes in. Additionally, we’d like to apologize for the inconvenience that we introduced. As a thank you for your patience during this time, we will also be reducing ALL repair costs by 50% once the aforementioned change goes in with the next scheduled maintenance. This will last all the way through until early access to Rise of the Hutt Cartel launches. Your feedback is important to us, and we hope that this resolution alleviates the repair costs concerns. Thanks again for your patience

My only gripe is that imp dailies seems to be clumped closer together on Illum and Black Hole.

Id rather try to succeed then cry and abandon my group when things don't go so smooth. I guess everyone has different playing styles though.

You found me out. Ive been lying about my repair cost as an excuse to leave them game I really liked.

If they were concerned with what they did they wouldnt have lost 70% of the players.

Before bug fix, 10k for red gear maybe slightly more. After bug fix, 60k for none red/yellow gear. That's a problem.

You really need to read the thread. I am not using the free Tionese gear. I wear legacy armor with mods ripped from Rakata, Columi, and some Tionese gear. Since you're just making assumptions at this point, anything else you say holds no weight in this thread.

Dude thats two hours of wasted time with nothing to show for it. Meaning I would need to go for another 2 hours to try and make back what I lost. Now if you can do basic math, i would need to commit 4 hours of play time to get two hours worth of credits. You see the issue now?

Bioware refuses to do anything about PvP griefing. You still have players kiting elite mobs to attack other players by standing next to them and having their companions attack u.

it's not. That quest chain had little to do with revan. You dont gain anything from it either.

Skip the side quest that are lower then you. Knock out your class quest up to your level then head to the planet that is closer to your level and get a challenge.

So the 100 page thread thats on the forums now isnt enough to convince you that this is happening. Are you even playing the game?

Im beginning to wonder if any of these players who claim not to see high repair costs are even doing any PvE at all.

No there isnt at all. He thinks he is the superman of SWTOR and everyone else should be as awesome as he is and cant fathom why anyone else would demand that something that isnt right be fixed.

Wow you are a genius. Yes I spent many hours prior to this patch saving money to buy that gear set. Guess what? I was able to since it didnt cost me 60k to freaking repair any of my gear. I spent money to get the gear to use when leveling up my 2nd character I created. However now the cost of repair is sky high post 1.7. Maybe you missed the 100+ page thread that is on the forum that has over 1k posts in it of players also saying this issue is affecting not only them but their guilds ability to raid.

The real issue here is people like you who don't care about what their money goes to. Good job defending a company that is ruining a potentially great game. I understand you really like this game and your probably set with millions of credits and don't care about the cost of repair. The option you posted about running content in Green gear to save money is ridiculous. That doesn't fix the issue. If you need to try to work around a problem rather then demand it be fixed your are no better then the morons who keep pissing off the players base and making everyone leave. Even with my decent gear, as a DPS I cant tank for long or heal at all. The multiple wipes happened because we kept trying even after a wipe using different approaches to try and succeed. You seem like the type of player who would most likely cry and drop group on the first wipe. Your other solution of using cheaper gear is just as lame. I spent hours working to get my Legacy to level 20 to use that gear. I shouldn't be forced to pay more then someone else because my gear was harder to get. I love your number 5 solution by the way. According to you though that must be the fault of vocal players like me who demand answers. Smart consumers don't fork over money and not expect something from it. A smart company would realize this and work to make their consumers happy. In the case of this awesome EA/BW game that isn't happening.
