Before I read something smart - Of course I will play this game. I am a SW fan with a BIG F.
But...
Sitting here and reading / posting kinda killed the whole thing especially that many guildies are already there. This was the big thing about MMO. Team Speak loaded, all hyped, laughing, cursing about queues, enjoying what ever we manage to catch.
Now I just wait. I will log and play mostly alone but it's not the same.
Maybe new players prefer it that way but community was always above anything else in MMO's to me. In eve I can sit cloaked in a system for days hunting with my mates sometimes not even jumping anywhere, in SWG I met A LOT of friends while waiting for a shuttle to arrive. 10 minutes of pure socializing. I snowboard with some of those people till this day.
I'm happy SW:TOR launched. I am happy for those that already play ( I really am) but to me that's not what MMO is all about.
People say servers are staggered, cap will rise and etc. If that is the case why so many of us are here? What is wrong in a little bit of competition over a spawn? OH wait... I hear cries already that you need to compete.
You say server will crash? What is that different from Christmas time when all the gifts reach their destiny and people will start to log in? No difference what so ever. This is just a extended beta so few refuses to see with one exception. No character wipe.
Good luck BW. Hope you will survive simply cause I like Star Wars.
