  1. I just called my Gamestop (Ohio) and was told they are not having a midnight release, but I'm good friends with the manager. Normally a mid-night release is based on the locality of the stores collective sales on an item. I sometimes doubt this because Assassin's Creed Rev. had a mid-night release and there was only about 10 people in line. All in all, it's not that big of a deal. I believe Bioware said they are give a grace period, so I can easily go get my wife's copy tomorrow. I ordered via origin and already got my code.
  2. I have yet to log into the game yet, so when you said this I checked. Seems strange to do maintenance at night vs. the early morning hours. It also says this marks the end of early access, so I'm guessing based on all the nay-sayers that all the complaints about the game are going to disappear. I won't hold my breath.
  3. Sooo... who else has SBS? lol

I started out listening to all the content, taking my time and getting into the story.

Truth be told - now I am just spamming space, picking darkside/lightside, spamming more spacebar and getting on with the task.

Anyone else out there feeling the same?!

Not really. I've only done this to quest that I am repeating, eg: I rolled another smuggler. Besides that I love listening to the dialog.

  4. Because it's possible for people to need these items for their companions should no one else really need them for their character itself.

Ninja looting is a problem in any game, you have to quit or kick those people out if it happens, there is no other way.

If it happens once, ask them about it, if it happens twice, instakick.

Your companion does need that gear. That's a sad attempt to steal someone else's loot. Go by him some gear at the store, or use those commendations you've been saving up.

  5. If you and I partner on fighting a bad guy and we equally share the risks, whatever falls out of his cold dead hands belongs to both of us equally as well. Nothing else matters, period.

My personal preference would be to do away with the whole need/greed thing all together, it's just a way to start an argument and ways for greifers to game the system. Roll or pass is the only choice that is necessary.

FWIW, I almost never roll need and quite often just pass on stuff I can't use. Honestly, I am soooooo tired of this debate, this horse has been beat for so long there isn't even a bloody spot left of him to beat any more.

So basically your the type of player that likes to screw everyone over. Glad to know. Please mine giving me your character dox so I can just ignore you now?

  6. Oh my god, another thread about the Need/Greed system? I'm beginning to think people are lacking in the department upstairs. What is it you don't understand. You need an item only if you can USE it. You greed and item only if you WANT it. I'll agree that the system need to include a grey out need if it doesn't fit your class.

My first run through The Esseles a blaster gun dropped and I was the only smuggler in the group, but the trooper needed it as well and won. Why, he cannot use it? And you'll say something smart like: "This is my you don't pull pugs." or some such. Well I'm not in a guild and I don't know anyone that plays this beside my wife. And the only way to get friends to to meet them in-game while partying.

Also to those saying its the player that need fixing and not the game, I cannot wait until your gear gets stolen, or maybe you're in such denial about the situation you'll laugh it off and continue being the apathetic fool you are.

  7. The truth is addons and macros make the game easier. If you say otherwise you're just lying. I like that the experience is messy and chaotic. I like that I'm having fun.

So how about you just don't USE any macros and UI add-ons, and let everyone else enjoy the extra information. The problem with your argument is "I was an elitist player before, but I like to play as a normal gamer now."

  8. This is not a complicated system here.

Need is for items that you NEED to have.

Greed is for items that you WANT to have.

If you want to need on an item that has almost the stats you need but can later change them to suit you, you better clear it with the rest of the group. Why, because someone else might need EVERY stat that the drop has. If that is the case, you should use the greed option, and come back another run to try and get it. I mean if the mods are random anyway, what does it matter to you? You're going to change the mods anyway.

  9. As far as I'm aware, we even get the first month of Swtor FREE.

Hum, if you haven't gotten the memo, that "free" came with a purchase of $60, and a sign-up for an addition $15 a month. You've bought that "free", and since this is the case I would like a quality product. Do you think that I am someone that is in the game today, but will suddenly disappear on launch? Or another question would be do you think that the server issues will disappear at launch? If so, why hasn't BW specifically said this to settle the issue?

  10. So apparently I have heard complaints there is someone on my server with an almost identical name as mine,I talk alot in general, but this person apparently calls people pretty rude things and the like, and I myself have had people coming to me and complaining...Is there anyway if I see this person I could report them,or how should I handle this situation?

I'm somewhat concerned for my well being as well as my social life on my server, and am also concerned this person made this name just to 'mimic' me on purpose..

I don't know what to say to this? Re-roll a new character, and don't use your real name? How is your well being in danger, and are your friends too blind to notice the difference between yours and the fake?

  11. I'm not understanding what the OP wants. Vendors have the ability to purchase back Items you've sold. Are you referring to a grace period after you've purchased an item to get a full refund? How long a grace period, 30sec, 1min? I've never seen something like this before.
