  1. as much as I understand what you guys are saying about the vibe of the location I have to assume it's based on a short load time. The fleet is made to be the jump off point for missions and PvP so the load screen will be active more than for any other area. I think it's a tough job to make a place a Jedi, trooper, and smuggler will feel comfortable in. Their basic design works in my books.
  2. I have 1 question for anyone around the combat build. In Ataru for I am supposed to have a 15% speed increase. I am the same speed as everyone else... am I missing something? I also don't notice Leaps stun lasting that extra second. Do the powers work differently in PvP or is something a little off?
  3. I find keybinding very important for Old Republic in general. I've found that I don't use my mouse for combat any more. My keyboard is how I used to have it, but my numpad is now set up with my attacks and important commands. + sign for companion to attack a target. With other goodies I'm still working into being natural I'm taking over the up down arrow area and the page up insert keys. I'm still in the process of getting a comfortable map for me, but it seems a must to find a mapping system to make the attack options easy to access.
  4. I think it's still early to assess markets. I've noticed a big difference over the last few days on basic resource compounds and metals. Early on there was nothing available and random pricing. It's still in the early hours of a market, but I'm just starting to see parcels of crafting materials showing up. Once people include the market in their daily playing routine then they will start looking on it to buy more things as well.
  5. I'm not going to say this as fact, but I was looking at character builders and one or two listed new grenade skills as dealing (current weapon damage). For now I'll take that as a good sign.
  6. I've taken the Saboteur path as a fun mix of freedom to move and ability to hunker down when I want. My only worry is damage modifiers as the game progresses. My guns are getting better all the time so my shooting skills will see large increases in their base damage. It appears my two grenade attacks only increase via ability and skill point advancement. Would love to hear if anyone is finding they scale with my base damage? If grenades keep pace with gun damage pretty well? Or if saboteur is just a class that sacrifices damage for versatility?
  7. For anyone looking at last page. I have just gotten in and i'm Dec. 7 and I'm on the West Coast so I assume I'm the tail end of people from the 7th.
