  1. 300,000 players isn't bad in the FIRST 2 months the game is out. MMO's aren't for everyone. People had a chance to play, and now the ones who don't like it are leaving. As the game gets more commercial time, more people will start playing. Late adopters. Oh, and wall of text crits 9001.
  2. I agree. Using the term Races is like saying Cats and Horses are different Races, when their different species entirely. Races are used among the same species.
  3. Agree. PE complained about 1 annoying thing that was a deal breaker for him. Never once complained about the story line itself.
  4. Trash mobs. In what MMO, or game for that matter, has boss level trash mobs? Bad example IMO. It's the boss encounters that are suppose to be engaging and challenging, and also IMO, they did that right.
  5. You're a very bitter man. Penny Arcade has respect in the community based on the contributions they have made. Just because you think Gabe is some random blogger, doesn't mean he hasn't deserved the weight of his reviews. I happen to hate Apple and Steve Jobs, but that doesn't mean I can blindly say they haven't contributed in the world of technology. Without Apple, many innovations you take for granted would never have existed. Now, maybe PE hasn't done something REVOLUTIONARY, but I can think of one thing they do that deserves respect. PAX. Penny Arcade Expo. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penny_Arcade_Expo
  6. First, since when does a game need to be innovative for it to be good? Is there some kind of rule I wasn't aware of? Many people complain about Wow clone syndrome, but then never mention any actual faults. Could that be because there isn't any? There's a reason Wow is the greatest MMO in history, and you can't blame Bioware for copying. But that's not what this is about. Since you don't actually mention ANY fault with the game, just that it's not innovative, i'm lead to believe this is just a sad cry for attention. But that's all it's ever been. Whenever I see a Xugos thread, which have been around since I joined about a year ago, all he's ever done is QQ and ignore rational and valid replies. But i'll bite anyways, because i'm bored. The only true and meaningful innovation Bioware promised was story. Now, this is up for personal interpretation, and you'll probably disagree because I know you, but I believe they succeeded fantastically. In Wow, I could feel the level grind. I never felt like I was involved in the story. It was always "Oh hey, random passer by, wana help me out?" In this game, I actually feel like my actions are making a difference, and I have, more or less, a purpose for traveling to each planet, in the form of the class story line. They do a wonderful job of creating the RP feeling that all past MMO's were missing. They also innovated on the crafting. The skills they offer are much more diverse and fun to level than in Wow or any past MMO. Instead of walking around picking flowers, i'm doing my job and saving the galaxy. I'm really getting tired of all the people on these forums. The QQ level is off the charts. It's fine that you have an opinion Xugos, but please stop stating them as if they're fact, when they're not. You've been on these forums too long. Don't you think you've gotten enough attention?
  7. As you reach each new planet, you will find the amount of levels you're ahead starts to decrease. I noticed (as a republic) that I was around 4 levels higher than suggested when I reached Taris, around 3 when I reached Tatooine, 2 when I reached Nar Shadaa, and now i'm currently level 32 on Balmorra, which is 1 or so higher than suggested. All of this with me doing every single bonus/side/heroic group quests, along with the class quests.
  8. except Bioware has the power to fix the accelerator while you sleep...yeah.
  9. "snail's pace" by who's merit? Yours? And what merit is that, exactly? How do you know they aren't doing it as fast as they can? Oh, because they aren't doing it fast enough for you? ****.
  10. Making an MMO such as TOR is different than producing some neat mods from Python.
  11. You and all these QQ'ers are INFURIATING. If you are a better coder than Bioware, why are you not working for them or another equally large company? This game is big - bigger than anything you have ever done probably, 300 million $s and 1 million subs big. Unless you fully understand the work that goes in to managing a game this large, your opinion walks a thin line full of questionable merit. But that isn't what bugs me most! No, it's you people, who think you know what you're talking about, and provide opinions as fact, when they AREN'T. Either play the game or don't. This thread is pointless and Bioware doesn't care, and neither do I. Kthxbai.
  12. I don't care if you're a programmer. Prove to me that you have participated in a game release that caters to 1 million + people. You haven't? Then your experience has no merit.
