  2. I have a friend who will be joining soon, she loves rotation based ranged specs rather than a priority and/or rng proc specs. Any suggestions on what to play? Any rotation based melee spec just out of curiosity? So far in my search it seems like Telekinetic Sages or Gunnery Commandos might fit the bill, I figured I would ask though. Thanks!

  4. Something bothers me though about this. In the stream they said they changed it to 4 b/c they didn't want people clipping their FL anymore. Apparently people clipped their FL as the 3 pulse hit on live. I can understand this desire of not wanting people to clip. HOWEVER, with the new 4 stacks aren't they just inviting more clipping? Its going to take a full FL (3 stacks) and then start your 2nd channel (upon the 1st pulse of the 2nd FL you will get your 4th stack) Will people just stop their channel right then and their to fire off CL or LB? Or will it be still advisable to finish off that 2nd FL. Even in the stream he did this, he stopped his channel at the 1st tick of the 2nd FL to show the ability. Don't get me wrong though. I do know it will be less time to get 4 stacks in 3.0 than 3 stacks in live, however, the reasoning doesn't make sense to me. Am I missing something?
  5. Playing around on the dummy i have noticed now a "Arrggg" yell for the Flame Engiine, it is really hard to notice for me during normal fighting due to all the grunts and yells of normal combat. Looking forward to 3.0 then...thx!
  6. Is there a visual or verbal notification for Flame Engine and Hydrolic Shield? I have been actively looking while fighting and dont seem to notice one. I have to be missing something.....2 critical procs for a spec that don't have a proc notificiation? It would seem that the PT community would be up in arms over this, so i have to be missing it..... Any help would be greatly appreciated...i can't stand staring at that active buff bar while fighting. Thanks!

  9. During WZs, random DCs throughout the week. Tonight guild is doing some pre-mades, 3/4 of them dropped and can't log back in for 15min or so. Anyone else seeing this?
  10. Raising a lowbie Assassin now, Deception is full fun in both PVP WZs and PvE FPs. No aoe though until the late 20s makes questing hard. If questing is more of your thing, I suggest Madness.
  11. Force back from DOT ticks would be great! I would trade that straight up for the health returns.
  12. Thanks for the replies so far! The rotation will for endgame pve. A couple of the raids I have been on this last week using this rotation had me going out of force just as we downed the boss. Is this normal for Madness or should I have more breathing room? That is why I ended up looking for rotation help.
  13. I have been doing some reading on these forums as well as some other sites about the rotation of madness. There seems to be some differences. So I was just wondering if someone can clarify the rotation I'm using is basically correct. Affliction - Creeping Terror - Death Field - Force Lightning - Crushing Darkness (if proc) - Force Lightning - Lightning Strike (if proc) - repeat from beginning. If I receive no procs, I fill w/ Force Lightning or Shock if I'm moving. Thanks for the help!

  18. Would love to see it one day.... Big screen tvs set up at the fleet to watch ongoing pvp matches....maybe a droid there to take wagers and such. Also a pazzak den would be cool, wagering credits agaisnt other players and/or computer players. Maybe these could be included in the "VIP" area...perhaps it would be a way for Bioware to drum up some use in that area.
  19. Agreed on the taking away of Slip Away for Chem-Resistant Inlays if you are mostly pve'ing. If you are doing a bit of pvp on the side and not raiding (just hm's), then stick with what you got. If you are raiding, take the Inlays. Regardless if you do some pvp on the side. Other than that, looks good.
  20. I use 2PVE/2PVP bonus for both end game raid and my pvp matches. Do it...you won't be disappointed.
  21. In the lethality tree there was a talent that allowed TAs to be proc'd off of DoTs much like the HoTs in the healing tree? I've always been heal spec'd and like the changes we have recieved in that tree since launch. I tried lethality out the other week (just for something different) and liked the concept of it, but found myself a little TA starved. Would adding a TA proc talent somewhere in the tree be OP?
  22. Once you pull the mods out of that gear, aren't the mods BoP? Hence, you wouldn't be able to send them to another one of your toons....
  23. Will Absorb increase your damage reduction with white damage only? I have a Vengeance Spec Juggy and I'm loving him so far in pve and pvp. However, looking at the Vengeance tree it looks like to me there are some opportunities to stack absorb. Unstoppable, and Deafening Defense come to mind.... i know a dead enemy does 0 damage, but if someone was looking to get a little more staying power. If you took your augment slots on the crafting built pvp armor and put absorbs in it, will it really make a notable difference? or would it simply be better to put expertise or endurance in those slots?
