  1. Then lets have Bioware completely disable the ability to use external macros systems also.
  2. Then stop using keyboard and mouse macros if it is so bloody easy.
  3. But this is exactly what keyboard and mouse enabled macro systems already allow, and most of those against ingame macros are using those systems already. Again I say . . . Hypocrites. Also of note from this transcript from the summit (http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=343231) is the notification that the 1.2 patch is being pushed back to Early April. That fact, along with those issues I posted in my earlier posting has made up my mind. I will be canceling my account. I'll re-activated it after the 1.2 patch goes live, if the forum postings show that is lives up to its press. Like most of us who were in the beta and then early access, my account renewal comes up on the 20th of a given month. So I'll continue playing until then, but then I'll take a break. Bioware makes great games, but between EA and LucasArts, they were pushed in to releasing this game before it was ready; mostly to boost the sales with the Christmas season. Now, they are paying the price for that with a rapidly declining player bases. What should have been an MMO, BW has turned into KOTOR III with multiplayer support. They appear to be catering to guilds, but those guilds who were at the summit represent only those who have the cash to get to the location of the summit. Not the rest of us. So long BW and thanks for all the fish.
  4. If BW is unwilling to implement ingame macros, they need to block the use of external, macro-enabled hardware (keyboards and mice). After all, that's why most of the anti-macro protestors are against them for. Unfair advantage? I say they are hypocrites . . .
  5. /Strike 1 - Why don't YOU buy each of us who want macros but can't afford the hardware one of each? Or talk Bioware into buying them for us? - Also, many external macro software packages, which is what those pieces of hardware actually use to allow the use of macros, allow for the programming of macros way beyond what most peaple are asking for. Here is another example of what I mentioned above. Bioware: What are have set up is a game where, in PVP or PvE, those with the cash can buy themselves a major advantage over those of us who can't afford to buy Macro-capable hardware. Of the 12 friends who bought SW:ToR when I did only 1 continued to renew after giving BW 2 months to get their act together. That 1 informed me he is not renewing when his account runs out on the 24th of March. I want to give BW the chance to get the 1.2 patch out to see if it draws people back in to the game. This information that BW is NOT going to be introducing macros is a Strike against my renewing my account after the 1.2 patch. Unless 1.2 is going to include a major upgrade to the healer's UI which enables mouse-overs and mouse-click binds for healing abilities, odds are anything else in going to be merely frosting on a rotted cake. Bioware, after reading more postings in this topic, I've grown even more disgusted with the player populations. If these people are truly against macros, I highly recommend that you implement a software lock of some type that disables all externally implemented macros period. I just got the Bioware eMail asking us to send out 7 day trials for SW:ToR. I was happily goign to do so to a couple of frinds who had NOT bought the game and to my niece. Now, I am not. I'm also going to recommend to those friends who have not renewed their accounts that they not do so until we see if 1.2 is actually really worth it. Just finished skimming the rest of this topic, and I am now thoroughly disgusted. From what I've read, pretty well everyone who is against combat macros, either uses or recommends the use of keyboard or mouse macros externally. I have not seen this big a bunch of hypocrites outside of the WoW forums. Bioware, feel free to ban me from the forums if you want, but odds are I'm cancelling my account anyways now. I no longer see any server populations higher than Standard. When I log in to kathol Rift server where I tend to play, I never see more than50 players on Fleet. I never see more than 30-40 players on a given planet any more. I have 1 L50 Jedi Sage (Healer) which without the use of macros I find to be un-enjoyable to play. It's next to impossible to find even 4-man groups anymore, either for heroics or Flashpoints. Endlessly repeating dailies gets boring very, very fast. And now you are catering to a minority, as represents by a few guilds from across all servers, who express a negative reaction to macros. You are going to end up with with servers that are populated only by 1-2 guilds and that's all. It's already headed that way from what I am seeing on Kathol Rift.
  6. I did Taral V last night just before the servers went down. It was a party of all Stormtroopers. Every Boss item that dropped was a piece of trooper gear. Now understand, this group was an all guild group for the purpose of gettign the quest done for a L43 trooper & my own L32. We had a L50 Vanguard helping us. Also, it was normal mode if that made any difference. The key is that ALL the Boss drops were trooper gear. So I'd say the loot tables are tweeked for party composition.
  7. I'd be happy with a taxi stand that drops you off right at the ship hanger instance.
  8. Get a Authenticator, either hardware or software, and get the perk passes. personally, I think BW should have set the Emergency Pass to 25 hour Cool down, then peeps would have no call to complain. You can use it once a day. The oddball number , 18 hours, gives the trolls something to rag on about. You don't want to secure your account, don't complain. You are not entitled to the perks. You have a free, 1-day pass to fleet. use it, to walk. You don't hear the rest of use crying because we don't have access to whatever perks the Collector's Edition Vendors sells, those are for the peeps who bought the Collectors Edition. The 1000 cr, 1 hour cool down passes are for those of us who have secured our accounts. You don't want to use a software Authenticator because you change, lose or break your smart phones regularly? Buy a hardware Authenticator.
  9. The Fleet passes are a benefit for getting an Authenticator. Be happy BW provided everyone with a free, Emergency Fleet pass when they didn't have to.
  10. It's no different than having bought the SWToR Collector's edition. You secure your account, your get several benefits (Fleet passes, social gear, etc.) If you are unwilling to secure your account buy spending a few dollars more, then don't complain because you aren't getting something you never paid for.
  11. Because the Emergency Fleet Pass is a nugget throw to those who do not have an Authenticator. Want faster passes, get an authenticator <sigh>
  12. BW is NOT punishing you for not having an Authenicator, they are rewarding those of us who have secured our accounts with an Authenticator. BW is trying to encourage us to secure our accounts and thus reduce the extra work they have to do due to user system insecurity and stupidity on the parts of players who pass around their login info (aka. family, spouses, etc.)
  13. OP: What give you the right to tell someone how they SHOULD play? You have the right to advise someone on how they might optimize their dps, tanking or healing skills, but you DON'T have the right to tell someone how they should play. If you had done this to me, I would have done two things: 1) Put you on ignore. 2) Reported you for Harrassment.
  14. I can live with all the running, but what kills me are the number of load screens involved in things like getting too and from our ships, and with dying in a FP. You die, you are zoned out and then have to zone back in.

  16. All versions of Microsoft products are a Prime example of a huge company who make products that miss not only small peices. Microsoft is still patching their software products until the day they discontinue that product. It's a race between software developer making better idiot proof software and the Universe making better idiots; the Universe is winning!
  17. Obviously he has more fun Trolling than he does playing; it takes all kinds.
  18. BW added a new L50 FP with the Rise of the RakGhoul patch (1.1). - Kaon Under Siege - http://www.swtor.com/patchnotes/1.1.0/rise-rakghouls
  19. Yes! For all my complains about End-game, lack of LFG, lack of UI customization and the need for a better healing UI with mouse-overs and macros; YES! (and don't get me going on Space Combat). I am very much enjoying this game! The game went Live December 20, 2011. it's not even February 20 yet, the game has been Live for less than 2 months. So far, BW has been focusing on bug fixes, but they have still managed to get some new content out. <Edit> I for one love the Crafting system as it is currently set up. The itemization of the crafting system needs work still, but I have no complaints about how the crating system works.
  20. The regular lock-ups caused by Tuesdays patch were more than just irritating. Another day of them and I'd have been posting in the Support forum and complaining. I am quite satisfied with BW taking down the servers for a couple of hours, at 3 am EST, to fix bugs. A once a week downtime is great for maintenance, but you fix irritating bugs asap or you end up with a very unhappy clientele.
  21. I was online last night when the servers went down. The downtime was scheduled for 3am EST and that is precisely when it went down. Not sure where you are located, but its possible that BW started taking the servers down one after the other for practicalities sake and you were further down the line in server order.
  22. Ilum - Pvp - Couldn't care less personally. If anything will ruin SWToR it will be PvP, just like every other MMO out there. Catering to PvP ruins a game faster than any other single game aspect I've seen. Crew Skill - Not sure what skill changes you are talking about. I have yet to see anything broken by the 1.1 patch. Odds are you are talking about the Biochem changes and the affects it may be having on PvP most likely. See above on my take for PvP. Except for the AA addition, I haven't noticed any UI changes that are ground breaking.
  23. One of the things that ticked me off was that BW locked certain skin colors to certain factions. I'm speaking of the Twi'leks. In beta, I could create a red skinned Twi'lek on the Republic side. Now I can only do so on the Republic side. This is like saying all red skinned Twi'lek's are inherently evil. Or, in RL, that if your skin color is not Caucasian, your are a naturally born criminal. Please, get rid of skin color discrimination.
  24. What I'd like to see is the Lightsaber being used more for block and parry on a sage. We are more in tune with the force in some ways. I agree with most about lightsaber attcks, but defence is something else. How about a Willpower-based block/parry ability for Sages and Shadows?
  25. So far you are right. I keep looking for something that looks better, but nada so far. Still leveling Synthweaving and hoping and watching for drops and checking the GTN.
