  1. this is content that should of been in at launch - but launch was forced early and a lot of basic things (guild bank, custom UI etc) that SHOULD be included at lauch in a 2012 MMORPG. No kudos for "adding" things that should of been available at launch....even less for ignoring the beta testers who pointed these things out.
  2. i ctd in every pvp match (meaning no rewards/points etc) and multiple times every flashpoint (now i dont bother as i feel bad making the rest of the group wait). This didnt start until after the head start period. BW has threads up and we have replied with the dxdiag/comp stats etc. I have an I7chip, 6g ram, new vid card, my setup runs others games very well. Its probably only 1% of players that have the problem, maybe even 1/10 of a percent. etc etc etc yes done the drivers etc etc etc we all have and still no resolution or walkaround. Saying "buy a new comp" or the classicly useless "doesnt happen to me.." does not really help. Just because everything works good for you does not mean others who have problems should not complain.
  3. copy/paste courscant corridors - same as Nar Shadaa. The deathstar would be - like any city in SWTOR - nothing except corridors and elevators surely?
  4. *sniffle* i just wanna win a game of huttball *cry*
  5. Huttball rule 1# Pass the ball Huttball rule 2# Give you team-mates someone to pass too Advanced - have a stealthy player sit on the enemy line to pass it to. Its not hard, but its annoying seeing people totally miss the premise of huttball. If Bioware could do 1 thing to make the game better it would be that you can ONLY attack the ball carrier.
  6. the insider did actually say something to the effect that "bw have 20 gig install, 17 being voice/sound...and thats what they are proud of..." What he was saying there (in context) is correct, the game is not about voice/sound, focusing on that has really hurt what could of been a great game, being proud of the waste of effort/money/time into voice/sound is a sillyness. We can see how much the game has suffered due to this. Also i didnt want 16 hours of NEW music. I want star wars music to play star wars with, not something that i dont recognise or associate any emotion too. There is already a lot of star wars music from 6 films - made by the brilliant John Williams no less.
  7. amazed at the obviously dishonest response.........shame on you Bioware..
  8. doesnt need to be Dr Who, what suggestions do you have? Cookie Monster ship droid would be cool. Dory from Finding Nemo? That could be fun
  9. Kinda sick of my ship droid, total tosser. I would like to suggest the option of a small payed DLC for customisation of the ship droid. New persona options (nice, nasty, marvin from hithikers guide etc) New physical options (Dalek? Urinal -popular choice so far, astromech, "modern art", mobile wine cooler etc) Pretty please?
  10. yah the delay between pressing JUMP and actually jumping ingame makes it really frustrating to do any kind of pinpoint jumping puzzle
  11. +1 yes we can hotkey some abilities, but i cant hotkey them all. Better UI needed.
  12. forgot to add: Some mods are destructive and allow too much automation. However the use of mods reduces significantly as they are incoporated into the system.
  13. I am enjoying the game so far. But i can see lots of wasted potential, i would like to be playing this game for years to come and really enjoying myself so i would like to offer this constructve critisism. It comes down to this: The game itself is good, the problem is points of interaction within the game. To explain what i mean: Myself and people i have spoken with belive the problem is the method of interaction is flawed. All players have a mouse and keyboard, all players have preferences of use (ie hotkeys, wasd, gamepad) but we all struggle with the UI. The ui is not user friendly, it is not a flexible tool for us to modify to our specific needs and tastes. To bring up wow, at launch its UI was also frustrating, but 3rd party mods allowed customisation (the first hotbars at the sides were from a mod - i remember getting this mod and screenshotting and my whole guild went and got it). Blizard looked at player made mods and several months after release started incorporating playermade mods into the basic UI. Players KNOW what they want, allowing players to make mods allows Bioware to identify and incorporate great ideas. Nest is the Auction house, again WOWs auction house at the start was a mess, player made mods were created to allow the functionality that players wanted. Search functions, sale functions etc. Again these were incorporated. Initial raids in vanilla were masochistic without ui mods to help, guilds actually required players to have certain mods to run a raid. WOW is where it is, in the state it is, because it evolved. It evolved because players took responsability for improving the game mechanics that were lacking, and if any game has mechanics lacking its SWTOR. If you open the game to user mods the vast bulk of player gripes (which come from our flawed methods of interaction) would be redundant. You get free programmers making mods you can copy and incorporate to the game, win/win.
  14. how do i know when i am guarded? I buff people on the way past all the time, rarely do i get a return buff. But i understand if you miss the initial animation then the buff icons are so small no-one notices. Same with health, as a healer i die lots from missing my own health and watching the rest of the party, fix the UI! If you want recognition and thanks then the UI needs an overhaul first so people know what happening to them.
