  1. neat, might just do an "all quests" playthrough on my new main, just to see what happens, got my work cut out for me.
  2. good to know, mainly curious as to what, if anything does impact story, as i came back recently and was tempted to an "all quests" playthrough and wanted to see if anyone else had done it yet and noticed any impact on the story, or if it was just planet based, shame if that is the case, the thrill i got when a NPC from a side quest, in the other MMO i mentioned, remembered my character was awesome to say the least.
  3. basically, i had an interesting moment in another MMO where doing a side quest tied into another side quest/story quest later on down the track, so i'm curious, does anything outside the planet story and origin missions relate back to when things merge in ET? like if you did a side quest or bonus story on say Taris, do you run into an npc later on down the track that remembers you from that quest? or is it more origin story/planet story related? also, have the companion romances changed in terms of when you can start a SS romance with one,
  4. i'm curious to know if there have been any improvement between the diff force tanks, i generally like to tank or heal, and i find it fun to tank in SWTOR, i always end up having a hard time deciding between the tanks to main, and yeah i know you can change it up now, but i'm interested in hearing what others think as well.
  5. awesome, all the more reason to do those quest lines now, i normally skip them, but i like finding out about that little extra something they add to the game that you miss because you don't think it is needed.
  6. wasn't really asking about abilities, i was talking more, character responses and such, like i said in my first post, i don't recall having before, but my sith assassin had done the Revanite cult mission/quest line, and i had the option to mention it when i did the foundry and met Revan at the end, it was kinda cool, and was basically asking if there was more like that.
  7. deff worth doing story lines and side quests, just for that extra added immersion rofl, might go back and steam roll all those planets before i progress with my current char.
  8. wondering if doing all the planet story missions and story flash points matter? i noticed when on my Sith assassin that when i was doing the foundry my character mentioned the Revanite cult that my Assassin joined on Dromund Kaas, it was an interesting encounter, so the question is, if you do all those story and flash points that have story, does it actually impact your character and open up responses for future encounters?
  9. so, seems to happen whenever i return to SWTOR, stuck deciding on my class, shadow tank or sage healer, i typically go healer or tank, but sticking with one can be hard for me at times, leaning toward healer, but i'm interested in hearing what others think as well. cheers
  10. my main char is currently female, my aim is to have a female sage ready for when nadia is back in the game, i'm not overly bothered with the titles, i just like it for the story, but running it constantly is kinda tedious lol, if i rush it, it prolly won't take me that long to complete i guess.
  11. so yeah, like it says, I've done the class story before on another consular, and decided i wanted a Jedi sage healer and figured it would be simpler to just use a master holo and boost to 70, what i am wondering is, should i do the class story before starting the knights stuff? or should i just power through the class story?
  12. had a feeling that might be the case, of course i'll more than likely end up leveling a guardian as well, will be awesome when i can get nadia and kira back in the next patch, i made a female jedi shadow just for that purpose lol.
  13. so, i'm after some input on which of the 2 jedi tanking classes are the hardest to master, but also fun to play, i recently came back and decided it would be fun to start a new char to get myself back into the swing of things, and i've always enjoyed tanking but would like to play one that is fun but hard to master, so i'm interested in others have to offer, i'm a sucker for a good lightsaber, so needs to guardian or shadow. cheers.
  14. nvm, not sure why but it seems to be working now >.>
  15. this is rather frustrating, i can't log in, can log into the site fine, but using the launcher it says the login service is unavailable, no other info can be found on this issue, i can log in fine on other games, search the web all the fun stuff with no issues, but can't login to SWTOR.
  16. i have a 4 page thread of my own with this exact same problem, the whole terrible frames is driving me up the wall, going to try your solution and see if it does anything for me, and my machine is rather more powerful than your own.
  17. can't seem to locate any holo terminal apart from the companion locator one, and from what i can tell, all that one does is unlock a companion so you can use them, i would much prefer to unlock them normally without spoiling the story or whatever, which returns to my earlier question, how long do we have to wait before we can access them all again? and also, if you could give me a location of this terminal you speak of? cause i can't seem to find it.
  18. i'm wondering, when are we able to get all our old companions back? i found the console in the commanders room, and i don't want to miss out on any story so i don't want to use it, how ever, as a Jedi Consular i REALLY miss my little Nadia, and seriously can't take not knowing if she is ok or not, any ideas when we will see them again? the wait is killing me >.<
  19. seems kinda random something so simple could effect the game that much... then again...
  20. all up to date, all other games run fine, it's only star wars that has this issue, i run plenty of games at max with no problems, and yes i knew what you meant in regards to cleaning, no it's not temps, not it's not the mouse, problem still persists when using the god aweful track pad, no it is not the power supply, looking at my temps i'm sitting at a cool 85, max temp for the 780M is 95, so not even close to over heating, and i would have rolled back, i tried but then remembered i removed my old folder so rolling back would require a total reinstall, if all you where saying was a system issue, it would happen in all my games, which it doesn't so i'm gonna go out on a limb here and say swtor still sucks, and still needs work, even after all this time, should have known better than to give EAware a chance again. games i run that work perfectly: FFXIV RIFT Remember Me The Witcher 3 GTAV could list more but you get my point. edit: so far i also have found a fix to my issue, via a youtube vid, and doing what he sujested has fixed it so far as i can see, currently running the game in fullscreen windowed mode.
  21. yeah, really starting to regret my choice of resubbing this game, it's really gone down hill since it went free to play, i originally started playing back when it first came out, but stopped and came back every so often, my recent attempts to play was met with more and more issues, like trying to play shadow of revan on my higher lvl characters, only to find that the hub for that planet didn't even load properly half the time, so there i gave up, decided to try again cause i was waiting for the new race, only to start getting more issues, haven't even bothered checking my high lvl main yet...
  22. i can tell you right now it's not hitching, nor is the laptop overheating, if you actually read the post you would see it ONLY happens when moving around, game runs perfectly otherwise, and using fraps i get a constant 60 frames, plus, i clean the laptop fans every week, so yeah they are clean. i don't use a razor mouse, i only have a headset, the mouse i use is a Tt esport Talon mouse. i'm just srsly tempted to give up on windows 10 till it sorts it's **** out and just reinstall windows 7 pro, but figured i would try and get some help here first.
  23. tried a few things, like running the dx redist 2010, and all that, running the game as admin and compat mode as well, have yet to test those changes, also fiddled with a couple of settings in the nvidia control panel here's hoping something works, but figured it could never hurt to ask, seems i'm the only one who has had this issue since installing swtor and windows 10...
  24. i'd post this in the customer service forum, but it's currently read only, so anyway here is my problem, recently started playing again, downloaded the game, installed, everything is up to date so far as i know, and started playing and noticed a strange issue where if i move the mouse or look around using the keyboard i get this strange jerky camera movement, which is really bugging me, anyone know of a fix? i know my system is powerful enough, had no problems before now, here are my system specs: i7-4900MQ 2.80 Ghz 32gig of ram Geforce GTX 780M 4gig Windows 10 pro would appreciate any help with this, i really wanna get back into the game.
