If you don't want to wait then why not create another character on a low population server? Additionally forcing new players to create characters on other servers is not the right thing to do. I'd be pretty disappointed if I was psyched up to play with some friends only to find out I couldn't join their server and guild because the server was locked. Not to sound too condescending but your argument comes across as a "not in my backyard" type of thing. If you're sick of waiting, then don't... join another server as you would have a new player do. I'm not saying leave your other server, just keep your options open.

Only way I've been able to do it is simple: Don't put a helmet on my Companion. If the helmet appearance really bothers me I'm not hesitant to remove that slight bonus on my companion to make it better. In particular Aric Jorgan, he puts on an open face helmet and he's all forehead... I'm willing to forgo the extra stats.
