  1. I used Qyzen all the way unit I got Iresso on my Sage. I was just a simple balance DPS spec and the fights would usually go, bubble Qyzen, cause damage and re apply bubble and do the odd heal. The only time I didn't use a tank companion was for the last class quest fight. For that, I used Tharan. On my shadow, I stopped using Qyzen as soon as I got Tharan.
  2. 1.2 is what the game should have been at release. Game at release - 7/10 Game now - 8/10
  3. I'm transferring my 50 shadow to an Australian server and I already have a 50 sage on that server with the same name. It actually says in the FAQ that if your name is the same as another name on that server, you will get a chance to rename your character. In this situation, I'll be renaming the character moving to the new server. With other MMO's, when you transfer your character over to another server and the name is the same as another name on the server, your character gets a placeholder name (e.g. Bob will be called Bob4063), which you need to change before you log into that particular character. When your character gets moved to the new server ( as in, has been transferred to the new server with the placeholder name), If you are saving the name all you do is delete the character you are using to save that name, then change your transferred characters name to the saved name. At the very least, I hope that's how it will work in SWTOR.
  4. From what I've seen on my i7 3930k @ 4.3Ghz (6 cores, 12 threads), the game seems to use very minimal cpu. It seems to get to 10-15% total cpu usage max, with the odd single thread going up to 50% or so usage. Even on my previous gaming rig, with a Intel Q9550 Core Quad @ 3.8Ghz, the CPU wasn't really getting much of a work out and the game ran quite well.
  5. There's a datacron location in Alderaan, where body type 4 can't get to
  6. I mix it up. I usually use 1-4, Shift + 1-4, Q, E, Shift + Q, Shift + E for casting important abilities, with my hands. The shift key is mapped to one of my mouses thumb buttons, the other to ctrl. Everything else is pretty much with mouse clicking.
  7. I've gotten the "tic" sound on random sounds on the 2 computers I play the game on. One time, when a certain laser is shot my a mob, the tic starts when I casted a certain ability. On my sage, when I bubbled it would have a tic sound at the start of it. After a few days it went away and started to tic with another ability. Very much a sound issue with the game itself.
  8. Well, you can click through the vehicle. The only obstacle is the actual player frame, not the vehicle.
  9. Now let's see. Get a bunch of 50's to transfer to new servers in a region where the game was only just released. How fair is it to the new players, who didn't get the game early from overseas sources? I have a 50 on a west coast server and I want it on one of the Australian based servers, but even I know that there has to be a buffer so that fresh players don't get stomped by players who have had months to progress. Not happy with the fact you can't transfer straight away? Play on your 50's server then. Simple.
  10. The other day on the server I'm on we had a few 16v12 or so skirmishes in Ilum, at Central. The frame rate wen't below 60, generally hovering around 30-50 for me, but what the real kicker was that every second or so there would be a split second pause in the action during the fight. I can live with lower fps, but inconsistant fps ruins it. The difference between low and high on my setup is nil. I play in fullscreen windowed mode. Before people say it's my computer, here are my specs. Intel i7 3930k @ 4.3Ghz (6 core, 12 thread CPU) ASUS Rampage IV Extreme X79 Motherboard 16GB RAM 2 x GeForce GTX 470's in SLI (until next gen GeForce cards get released later in the year) 2 x Corsair Force GT SSD's in Raid 0 Etc. The CPU usage with this game is minimal. Total cpu usage barely break 5-10%, even then it's usually one of the twelve threads taking a walk on the 20% wild side. I know the game doesn't support SLI, but the total usage over both cards is usually between 50-70%, each card hovering within that range. Warzones are fine for me though. 60fps+ everywhere, with the odd drop below 60fps with hectic pvp going on, with the lowest I've noticed being mid to high 30's. Haven't noticed any split second pauses every second or so, like I experienced in Ilum.
  11. I'm getting 20-30ms on the Australian servers (I'm in Canberra and the servers are in Sydney) and it's leased new life into the game for me. The gameplay is better and the PVP is superior with the lower latency. I was playing with 200-300ms on a West Coast server, but it's night and day. My only complaint is that Bioware should have released servers locally, months ago, with the US and Europe. edit: Just adding that the first few hours were people posting their latency in 1. General. Sydneysiders were getting as low as 11ms from what I saw. Though, some players in Singapore were getting over 400ms.
  12. I wouldn't be surprised if the servers are located in Melbourne, since that's where the Warhammer Online servers were.
  13. It's amazing playing with sub 50ms latency. I play that other game and when I was at Blizzcon last year, I played that other game on my 5 year old laptop on hotel internet. The low latency was an absolute eye opener and really showed how gimped playing an MMO in another country really is. Can't wait for the servers to go live locally.
  14. I got a Jedi Consular (shadow) to 50 and in recent days I rolled a Sith Inquisiter and I've got to say, it was an eye opener. Playing a Sith Inquister almost feels OP compared to my consular. So much for Mirror classes.
  15. Um, typing text in game for me is instant. Then again, I have a mechanical keyboard plugged into my computer PS/2 keyboard socket.
