  1. Toys for Tots is a great charity.
  2. I like this scenario. Sounds extremely fun. Would definitely stop people from dropping out of the game because the other team got 2 quick scores.
  3. I am hopeful that they are working on it and we will get some information in the next 3 or 4 months. There is just too much potential in a Star Wars MMO to not do anything meaningful in space. I can't stand the current minigame. It was fun for the first couple of missions but quickly became a part of the game I pretend is not there. Jump to Lightspeed or Battlefield type space game or something along those lines and I will be throwing money at Bioware.
  4. I would absolutely love this idea.
  5. That is unfortunate. Thanks for the quick answer though.
  6. Please forgive if this has been answered, I could not find it. Do you need to be close to a World Boss when it is killed to receive the codex entry? I was just in an ops group that killed Utagh (Bantha Event World Boss) and did not receive the codex entry. I was killed when he was about 10% health and spawned at the medcenter to return to the fight and as soon as I hit the open world pvp area the group downed him. I don't want to open a ticket if this is how the mechanics work. Thanks.
  7. Well I know that I am totally loving SWTOR but the last 2 weeks my login time has been roughly half for 1 simple reason. Mass Effect. I had to finish my perfect save in 2 and now am happily running through 3. I will be back to logging into SWTOR 4 or 5 days a week instead of the 1 or 2 from the past couple of weeks in a short amount of time.
  8. I will most definitely be playing Mass Effect 3 and most definitely not shelving SWTOR. My SWTOR playtime may be less for the next couple of weeks because of my limited free time but I will still be logging in. That split time starts tonight as soon as I get off work, vote and shower. So excited. I guess I should eat something as well. Instant Ramen. Yeah, good times.
  9. I am on The Shadowlands server, there seems to be anywhere from 100 to 190 on the fleet from about 6 central until about 11 or 12 central. 2 nights ago Hoth had 60 - 70 on during peak and Nar Shaddaa was maybe 10 lower. This is from the Republic's perspective. There is a 2:1 (Empire:Republic) population balance roughly I am told on this server, I don't have any Empire characters yet. What I notice is my friends list shows people that were logging in 7 days a week now logging in 3 or so, which will be the same for me this week as I have to finish my perfect playthrough of Mass Effect 2. That is to be expected in an mmo, when new content comes out the population will spike again and slowly come back to the norm. I have no doubt that some of the servers are in need of merging, I think we all knew that at the beginning when they added all of the servers during launch. If we have 100 servers we really need about 70.
  10. Started day one of early access. I just hit level 44 on my main, Sentinel, 2 nights ago and also have a level 27 Shadow tank. I also have a pretty demanding job but I seem to average about 2-4 hours a night 5 or 6 days a week. That may be less this week as I have to finish my perfect playthrough for Mass Effect 2.
  11. I am seriously saddened by the fact that the op represents even a fraction of the population. Lord I hope it is only a fraction. I truly hope you are not a college student, if you are please let me know which college so I can check for that on resumes.
  12. Yes. There are problems and additions that need to be made but I have not had this much fun in an mmo in a long time. I have also not grouped this much since the days of Final Fantasy XI.
  13. I don't. I am having a wonderful time with this game and you know, I don't have a problem with anyone who does not. To each his own and whatnot.
  14. I have been playing since day one of early access and my main is level 41 and alt level 22. Last night was the first night I did not log into the game, made myself take a break and do some reading, and I have also put in the 3 to 4 hours a night. I have also not done any pvp yet and minimal space missions. I think that is where a lot of people are getting the experience jumps, from what it sounds like you get more exp/hr in pvp vs. questing. Having said that I still find myself 2-4 levels ahead of the planet level range. I personally would like them to bring down the exp gains a little to the point if you do nothing but quest you will be at the correct level range but if you pvp and space combat a lot you can get 2 or 3 levels ahead.
  15. I have played a fair few mmo's and I do enjoy the genre but I started getting burned out a couple of years ago. I realized that there simply wasn't a story and I never felt like my character was heroic, he or she was just another paladin or wizard. SWTOR came along and finally fixed my number one complaint with the genre, now I have a good story and the illusion of my character finally being at the center of the storyline and not a bit part actor.
