  1. Exactly, if they nerfed out burst they would have to give us not one more but a few more defensive or oh Sh%T cooldowns
  2. Sin/shadows are most likely the strongest class in game atm with all things considered. However Im gonna say it could have also been Maul, because I see it hit higher numbers then Shock, and more often.
  3. Wrong again. You already shot yourself in the foot showing lack of any knowledge about CD, and more-so ICD and GCD. Your linear argument has no place in a PVP environment, maybe PVE is where you belong. Inc missile/ FB and target runs out of LoS/ gets healed but not cleansed (happens a lot) With 100% proc on Plasma cell, and the insane damage+crit damage that does for a DoT. Perhaps you are geared incorrectly? or is it just a clear lack of knowledge about the class that only an altaholic would have? Wait till rateds, we are gonna see you scream for high heaven for buffs to the AC unless you just shelf it entirely
  4. Really? listen, you are obviously a joke. Once you actually parse, you will realize how wrong you really are. So I don't feel like educating you on the both ACs that you clearly have zero knowledge about with the amusing offer to educate on something of such. It is mostly DoT damage, and for PT/Vanguards the % of damage being DoT damage is larger.
  5. Obviously you do not know the class either. It is mostly DoT damage, and I'm not talking about 55%, it is closer to 70%. Pay attention to combat logs, and you will realize. Otherwise, if you are not applying your DoTs, you will notice your total damage to be more then cut in half, and obviously showing more lack of knowledge on how to play. The ONLY part of the burst that can be perceived as OP is just a matter of timings. If you use Thermal det and time railshot correctly you can make both damage hits register at the same time, which can make it "LOOK" like that person was just hit for 8k-9k at once. A sniper can do the same with explosive probe and Ambush, without needing to time, and more often @ less cost. With the ICD there was actually an increase in TTK for Pyrotech, however small, it was an increase not a decrease, which in turn is a nerf.
  6. Mara/Sent might be overpowered but it is only very slight. I am sure if Bioware looked at "ACTUAL" metrics (key word is actual). They would see that when comparing DPS, Highest Damaging hit, Total damage done, and KDR: (if I were a betting man) I would put money on Sin/Shadows being #1. Mara/Sents might be second but I think the gap between 1, and 2 spots would be larger then normal. If anything there needs to be a mutual revamp of tank specs, Shadow/sins tank spec should be toned down, and the rest of the tank specs brought up to meet in the middle. This would make tanks more viable in PVP, and make all these DPS classes less extreme
  7. Obviously you do not play the class then, you keep showing an extreme lack of knowledge of how the spec works and the requirements for certain abilities as well as ICDs. Try......try....and try..again NOTE: PT/Vanguards are NOT overpowered, and you can't call them overpowered just because you as a healer do not use your cleanse, or other healers do not as well. That is your own fault, and balancing classes on your laziness or lack of skill is exactly why the game is in the predicament it has been since launch.
  8. I like how some of you keep saying you are seeing more Vanguards and Powertechs and that they are OP. You make yourself look stupid because of the following:: A. They were NOT buffed in 1.2 B. As tank spec they still only have 1, WEAK, defensive cooldown. C. Pyrotech/Assault specialist, high damage done is from DoTs and lack of skilled healers on other team cleansing making the spec useless. I play vanguard and I actually find myself playing tactics more (middle tree), not only does it provide more uptime and pressure on the target, it has great AOE potential. However, to get damage numbers of Assault specialist (pyrotech) it takes more work. NOTE: Obviously Serrow plays a marauder, and even a blind man notices his bluff routine with obvious lack of knowledge about vg/Pt.. It is DoT based.... derp
  9. Well the argument of "just CC them" implies that there is always a CC cooldown up or that CC abilities have no cooldown. This is the same argument Scound/Ops made when they were killing people outright during the knockdown at launch (see CC breaker). Therefore is null and void. I like that they can do serious damage now in Carnage spec (imply sent tree as well), Whilst I disagree with their rage tree being equalized/doing more damage then their tank counterparts. Somethings to consider that cannot be argued against because they are proven facts: The difference between heavy armor and medium in PVP is miniscule. All tanks in the game (except Shadow/sin) have way too few defensive cooldowns. When comparing to amount of tank cooldowns (Shadow/sin excluded) and the amount marauders/sents get, add in the fact the armor difference is near moot, they have way too many def cooldowns to themselves. Things I would suggest for Bioware, moving forward: A. Have armor rating/amount also add a modifier (/increase) the amount of damage reduction granted per expertise, to obviously only effect PVP. B. Reduce Undying rage health cost to 40%, but have it reset resolve bar on use (making them CC'able no matter what) C. Have more D.o.T based abilities in Vanguard/PT specs have talents that cause adverse effects on dispel (like what lethality got). D. Only Allow Warzone adrenals (health and exp) be used in warzones. Do not allow relics/Biochem adrenals. At the same time (as to not screw Biochem), make all stat buff stims also grant some expertise (% based but small). (if relics are useable, have all PVP relics just buff expertise slightly and only allow PVP relics to be useable) E. Give healers their own unique ability (requiring high tier talent speccing into healing), that works like a reverse taunt. Something along the lines of: Duration 5 seconds Cooldown 30 seconds Causes all healing done by the target to be reduced by 15% unless the target is themself.
