  1. I've wondered that too. It's properly confused me. I was about to ask what CV means, but felt stupid for not knowing. I know they're not stupid, but if they shorten Civil War to CV, then they come pretty close, I'm sorry to say.
  2. It's weird. I rarely have the experiences some of you are complaining about. Only when one side has a disproportionate amount of morons has the three point capture map been a foregone conclusion. Often, and I mean OFTEN, one team has come back from being 200 points behind, and then won or ended up only a few (10/15) points behind.
  3. I got to say that I've enjoyed all three WZs, and I've absolutely HATED all three WZs. It all depends on the teams. If they're close or stacked in my favor, they range from Awesome fun (close match) to decent (stacked in my favor). If the teams are stacked against me and my team, it doesn't matter which WZ I'm playing, it's gonna be hateful. The three point capture is one of the maps I've had most close run games on (50 to nothing or closer). But the games where one side is extremely coordinated and efficient and the other team is not are just plain old boring, whichever side you're on. Huttball has too great a tendency for one team to be full of morons who don't understand the purpose of that particular map, who just runs around trying to find duels, or whatever they fill their 15 minutes with. Coordination and teamwork is at a premium in PUG's, and that REALLY shows in huttball. I've had more huttball rounds end at 6 to nothing than close games, but when you get that close game where one team wins by one, woha(!!) no WZ can match it's intensity. Voidstar... meh. It was the first WZ I really loved, but as I've played it more, I've realized that it's a ranger's heaven. All you need is two people alive with some range and aoe to hold a door. And when you get an opposing team full of healers... Just sit back and wait for the timer to run out. There's nothing you can do. When healers has both decent heals AND decent dps, you don't need many of them to ruin an otherwise good experience. I play Empire, and it seems to me that even when our team is quite stacked (mostly high level players with a good spread of classes) we get pummeled by a bunch of jedi consulars (whatever their ACs are called) who just cross heal and gank. (this last bit goes for all the WZs by the way, but it's most noticeable in Voidstar.)
  4. It's CLEAR that voidstar (as I assume it's called) doesn't have the slightest connection with time, except perhaps for the timer in the corner. As stated in my OP, our team completed with around 2 minutes 20 to go, the other team completed with between 50 seconds and 1 minute left to go. Still the other team won. This, to me is so stupid there's a good chance there will be a long time before I sign up for another warzone. It makes no sense, and it's not fair. I'd have said the same thing if it turned out the opposite way. Come on Bioware, I know you guys aren't stupid! (But I am getting serious doubts when I see stupid **** like this.)
  5. I just played the pvp map where the objective is to blow up the doors and all that cr*p. Our side completed the objectives with over 2 minutes to go, the other side completed with less than one minute, and still THEY won... What's up with that? I realize it's probably because, overall, the other team did better on the ranking, but that should be secondary to the time spent on the objectives. The sequence of priorities (the ONLY LOGICAL sequence anyway) should be 1. Completed objectives. If both teams completed objectives then: 2. Shortest time spent completing objectives. If both teams completed at the same time then either: 3a. DRAW or 3b. Team ranking. Any other order doesn't make sense. Who made up the rules for this map (while junked up on some class 1 drug while they were at it) ? At the VERY LEAST that game should have been a draw.
  6. Finally a reasonable voice. Who knows how big an impact the change will have? Why cry and soil yourselves in righteous anger before the patch is even out?
  7. You must realize that the MMO business is NOTHING like any other business. It's a subscription based business where the product gets expanded every so often. In other words, for your hypothesis to be true about MMO's, an MMO needs to be in production for 12 years before they're able to release. Probably even longer because in the eon that the game has been in production, new products have come out. In fact, with your hypothesis in mind, an MMO can never be released, because they'll constantly have to rework and add to their un-released game in order to be on par with competitors. The fact that MMO's take so prohibitively long time to develop renders your entire supposition moot. Following what you said would mean the end of computer games as a business. Think before you write.
  8. QFT Several healers, cross healing is an effing nightmare. Healers ARE overpowered as is.
  9. Err. You know that people who are supposed to benefit from a healer has other benefits, right? Like more initial HP, higher armor rating, better defenses. THAT's why a single healer shouldn't win against a DPS class MOST OF THE TIME. PLUS, All healers in SWTOR has other tools as well. SOME damage, SOME CC, SOME whatever. They're not ALL heals. Being able to survive for a while against a DPS'er, sure. For a while. But they shouldn't be able to win. Ever. If they should be able to win against DPS, why the HELL would any PVP team consist of anything but healers? Does that argument sound familiar? It's the exact same one used against DPS'ers earlier in this very thread.
  10. I find it hilarious that so many whines and cries doom because of a tiny change that most people won't even notice. Classes are underpowered while others are overpowered as the game is today. My guess is most of the whiners play overpowered classes now, which will get nerfed. Boo hoo. No game is completely balanced, least of all World of Borecraft. I'm ambivalent as to whether I should get annoyed or if I should chuckle over all you people threatening to stop subscribing because of one tiny change. If that's the case (which we all know it isn't), then you didn't like the game in the first place. We all know you won't unsubscribe because of a small change like the one you're all decrying like Christians over condoms. It's an empty threat like a very small kid threatening to run away from home if they don't get that one piece of candy that they just can't live without. Childish, spoiled little brats. What? Are you 5? I'm really looking forward to 1.2, despite playing both Merc and Sorc. It will be an awesome update, even when taking drawbacks like that into account. They're tiny drawbacks compared to all the awesome.
