  1. Add the ability to heal and it's all around a winner. I was thinking the same thing although I still have to get used to Pyro for PvP.
  2. Awesome. Thanks. I'll try it out. The good thing about sub is I can free respec.
  3. I'm an Arsenal player but I play just as much PvP as PvE. Is there a huge difference in Pyro v Arsenal in terms of damage/survivability in PvP? I already understand the mobility issue. I'm more interested in numbers. Also, if I make the switch, do I need to change gear/stats? Also, what's a good rotation for Pyro? With Arsenal I don't even have PS on the quickbar. I see its huge for Pyro.
  4. Mostly this. Unload first so you can proc from TM. I usually pop HSM after 2 TM because you need to get it off before the target moves, leaves LOS or before you get stunned/killed/etc. If you can get it off after a 3rd even better. Exp Dart and fusion missile together are good for a quick burst when others are on CD. Exp dart RS HSM and Missile blast are good to use when you have to run. Most definitely though, you want to build stacks for RS and HSM.
  5. I 1v1 with my Arsenal quite a bit and do well. It could go either way but playing talent > class setup. It's when there's more than one that we get in trouble. 1v1 Melee means they aren't running away from me when I build my stacks. When I crit HSM and RS after stacks there's a crap factor that makes them hesitate. As for me, I already think I'm gonna die so I don't get scared
  6. So you're saying to buy the EWH MH before buying anything else? Is the increase of damage and expertise from EWH MH with the WH OH mods better than combined stats/expertise from full WH armor? I'm just assuming I won't be able to get everything right off the bat. Trying to figure out which way to start off.
  7. Awesome. Thanks. That's what I'll do then. I'm lucky enough that I still have Merc Comms capped from way back when.
  8. Awesome. What about order? Should I go for the bonuses before the others? Honestly, the pvp bonuses don't look all that good for the eliminator set. I'd rather have the less heat from the PVE sets.
  9. I just ranked to 40 valor but haven't dinged 50 yet. I've been banking WZ comms for a while I'm wondering what I should do at 50. Do I get as much WH as I can, or should I get one EWH and the rest WH/recruit? Someone told me I should get my EWH main and pull the mods from the WH main before turning in the shell to use in my OH. I'm a merc BH (I know it stinks for PVP, but I still play with it).
  10. That might have been me, actually. And I ended up dying because I overheated myself, haha. NOT endless resource.
  11. Rapid scan. I was trying to heal myself once and it kept getting pushed back. I ended up dying anyway, but still.... TM still gets pushback. Stabilizers just reduces it; it doesn't eliminate it. You "clearly" don't know your class as well as you thought.
  12. Not only that, but the pushbacks, too. If we have to turret ourselves and spam, can't they at least make us immune to pushback? My 2.5 second cast takes 6 seconds. It doesn't have to work for all abilities, but at least tracers or healing scan or something. And the interrupt is useless because to use it, I have to interrupt my own cast. Also, why is it that Mercs are the only class that resolve doesn't work? I'm ALWAYS stunned. Also, what's the point of rocket punch rooting? If someone is on top of me, the last thing I want to do is keep them there. Whoever decided that was a freaking genius.
  13. YES!!! I want this game, too! With all of your ideas, though, third faction is best. As it is BH storyline has almost NOTHING to do with Empire. Who says the Republic couldn't hire BH anyway? Is there some law that says BH are "bad guys?"
  14. My guess is because most new players who are still getting used to the game and mechanics will gravitate toward Republic classes (Jedi/Smuggler). Maybe their second toon will be an IMP, but by then, they understand the "etiquette."
  15. I don't agree. You can solo most H2/H2+ if you go about them strategically. Even the missions that require you to kill x number of baddies can be done. It'll just take longer. Most Heroics have patrolling mobs. These are single targets that wander the area. If you take them when they are by themselves, you can do it over and over. You should beware, though, if you fighting another group that a patroller doesn't wander in and join the fight. Also, you might have to wait for your abilities to cool down. Bring lots of Med Packs. Heroic 4's will be tough unless your a few levels higher, but even then, you can do them if you play smart. I'm not against groups, but I've solo'd a Sh*t-ton. It's definitely possible with EACH class. Most companions are designed to bring balance (they tank if you heal, they heal if you dps, etc.). Set their abilities correctly, and send them in first, etc.
  16. Yes. Don't "ninja" other players. That means if you are on a quest that requires you to activate, open, destroy, etc. certain items in the world, and there are mobs (bad guys) guarding the items, don't wait till someone else engages the targets just so you can take the chest for yourself. This is often the case in Heroic missions.
  17. Ahhh... That makes sense. Thanks. Last question, are BM or WH gear any good in Operations? Or should I have a second-set of gear just for operations?
  18. Thanks, guys! That's a lot of help. Basically, I should only buy under 50 gear if I'm close to capped, then, right? And even then, it's pretty much worthless other than for aesthetics?
  19. So I have a question about comms and gear. I'm trying to save up as much as I can before I get to 50. I'm 37 now. Should I buy BM gear now? Is it even possible before Level 50? I'm assuming it's not worth it at all to buy gear under Level 50. Am I just wasting my comms if I do? What do I do with the Champion Bag I bought ages ago?
  20. My problem is that I am a complete noob at moving (console player coming to PC) and attacking. Once I get used to keyboard instead of mouse click that will become more viable. Are the DOTs really that good with Lethal?
  21. After 1.3, is there an effective build that I can use mainly for PVE but also PVP? Or do I have to choose one or the other at level 50?
  22. Me, too. I just started doing pvp and I'm using pve gear. I seem to do quite well considering my lack of skill and the fact that I mouse-click. If people truly want pvp to be fair, there should be a pvp-only set of gear that you get when you first start playing. Like a Locker Room (you should have to switch out). This gear should go by valor (not by level since everyone is bolstered to 49 anyway). If you want better gear, play more and increase your valor. Since lower-levels are already limited by lack of powers, give level 15s who are 30 valor better gear than fresh 30's. It makes sense and the noobies like me would understand. I would also know what to shoot for. In professional sports, the pros don't always wear the best gear. They wear gear that is sanctioned by whatever league they are in. PvP should be the same way. Huttball is "sport-like." When you leave PvP, you are back in your pve gear. Simple. What's the big deal?
