  1. Personally I think there should be a main hub on say, Tatooine that is open to both factions. A nuetral city if you will. To give more the feeling of Star Wars like the movies... But that may just be me.
  2. With THAT much anger and passion... You sure you're not Sith, OP?
  3. The reason behinde the looks and no replies is that everyone is still trying to get used to the changes. The "nerf" wouldn't have happened for no reason. And there is always tthat adjustment time. People re-figuring out just how to play their character class to it's fullest potencial. The problem arrises when people see something they are used to changed and then come to the forums screaming doom and gloom. Take the time to go over your character, try out different set-ups, and take into consideration that there is new gear etc. to account for. There have been several people stating that they love their Bounty Hunters more now than ever. Don't just scrap a character because some people keep posting they are completely broken.
  4. I took a break from the game for a while. But right before I did, I made a Trooper Vanguard and got him to lvl 12. I didn't know I was going to be away for so long, and when I came back, I made and have been leveling a Sage. (I also have a few Imps in the 30s) I see my Trooper everytime I log in, and want to play him again. So last night, I logged into him and realized I remember nothing of my rotation, etc.. It's only lvl 12, so getting there wouldn't be that big of a deal. But I keep remembering the starting area, not one of my favorites. Seems to take twice as long as the others... So my question is: If you were in my shues, would you wing it 'till you got the hang of it again, or simply reroll? (Oh, and do we still get the Orange quality, White rifle at the end of the starter zone? (I like the look of it and don't want to lose it. If I reroll I'd be deleting the original)
  5. Odd, I picked up on it right away. Haven't missed a single credit... It's the same icon as The Galactic Trade Market and the Vendors...you know, where people spend a good chunk of it...
  6. Yes, maybe for you and others leveling is a pain. But there are those that enjoy the leveling experience. There are those that love watching that bar color go up. I think what most that ask this question are truly meaning is more on the lines of "I've hit my cap on levels, what do I work towards now? What is there in game to keep me motivated?" Not that there isn't anything to do, but more to the point of what others find entertaining or character progressive. I don't think they mean to bash the game directly, they are just looking for out side insight.
  7. You can leave your cares behind.
  8. no, just no... My hope is that they NEVER add combat logs. I'm not going to sit here and write an essay as to why I don't want them, nor need them. I'll put it simply, once there are combat logs, there are parsers, once there are parsers, there's division, once there is division, the people that are left out give up and walk away from the game. There's no real sence of community now as it is, let's not take that further.
  9. The one thing you stated that caught my eye was "Buying legacy levels with credits"... I'm going to have to go read up I guess. That sort of bothers me if it turns out to be true. Besides watching my XP bar, I also like watching my legacy bar gradually go up as I play. If people can just buy them selves to max, it will just cheapen it. I'm almost to level 5 legacy just from playing all my characters. And I've enjoyed it. Also...force powers for non-force users? That's just not right. I'm a PT bounty hunter...I don't want force powers, and I certainly don't need them. What I'd like more is if you could unlock the other class' companions. like right now I'm leveling this BH just for Blizz. Why? because it's the only class that gets him. Don't get me wrong, I love my BH. But I have also wanted to play a Sage, got one to lvl 18, and loved it, but then I checked out the companions for it, saw they were "yawntastic", took a look at the gear and thought "Oh great, another let's keep em in a skirt" class and deleted the Sage. Yes, I know there are pants for them from social points, and IF you are lucky enough you MIGHT get a pattern for orange quality pants (I play male characters, I'm sorry, I like wearing pants)...If I wanted to wear skirts all the time I'd be playing my Mage/Lock/Priest over at WoW. /end pant rage Where was I before the tangiant? Oh...yeah, companions... So If we could unlock other companions for all our characters, I'd most likely go play a Sage from Ground zero. Wouldn't bother me being broke on that side, it would give me something to work towards. Opening up armor looks from the opposite faction could be cool as well...But not Force powers for non force users, or vise-versa...
  10. Last night I sent all three of my companions (I'm only lvl 31 on my newest BH) out on missions that were going to take a while. So, for the first time in 3 months, I logged into my WoW account to say hello to my friends there. Three months...I pay my sub there every month even if I don't log in. I used to cancel my acct. with them while trying out other mmos. But signed the annual pass thingy and can't now. That's ok, I know I'll pop in there from time to time, or even spend a day or two playing that instead of this. My point being? It's 14.99 a month, no big deal. I'd do the same here. Why? Because i love the game so far (been here since beta and EA). I'm hoping to see some changes to the things that I don't quite like, and to watch as the SWToR universe unfolds. I'm also hoping that I see more of a Community ingame as time goes on. Right now it feels more like a single player game with other people running by every now and then. I understand that people are more interested in leveling and fleshing out their characters at this early stage. It happens with every new MMO. All I'm trying to say is this: If you love the game, don't give up hope. Take a break when you need to. And if in the long run you find that it really isn't for you, don't trash it to others just because you personally don't want to play it anymore. (Man, I think I rambled a bit there... o.O hahahaha)
  11. When I started playing this game it was for two reasons: 1, I have loved the Star Wars Universe since I saw the Premere of the first movie. 2, I was hoping to find that sence of ingame community that other games had lost. On #1, I am not dissapointed in the least. (Save I wish I could play as a Jawa) On #2, A bit on the dissapointed side. I've met some pretty cool people while leveling, even adding them to the friends list. But when I've tried talking to them again, and this is after they say they were adding me as well, they say "who were you?". There's no real central hub where people get together and socialize. Yes, there are the space stations and Capitol planets, and that's what they are meant for, but you don't see alot of socializing going on as a constant. Mostly you just see people running to their next quest or GTM. I've been told to join a guild. Well ok, no problem. But I'm not just going to rely on that as a means of making the in-game world feel like a living entity. I love the game, it's one of the most fun I've played, and there have been more than a few over the past 10 years. But in my personal opinion, it's lacking that "Alive" feeling when it comes to community.
  12. I've played both the Merc and PT. My play style is more suited for the PT. I love the mobility, the in your grill face melting, survivablitiy, etc.. Merc was ok, but the cast times and cool downs killed it for me. PT can dish out some pretty decent dps, it may not be on the scale of Sniper or Scorcerer, but I have no complaints. I just switched over to Shield Tech to see if I'll like it (And I just got Gualt), if not it's back to Advanced Proto. (Yes, I like the spec.) Play both to 20, it doesn't take too much time. By then you will know what suits your play style more. Just keep in mind that they both only get better as time goes on. At lvl 25 I knew I wasn't enjoying my Merc., and wouldn't.
  13. I'm on my second BH over 25. The first was a Merc., but I found that play style wasn't my thing. So I rerolled and now my PT is at 30. I'm just starting Alderaan (made a couple extra levels early on, and just kept it going). I got Gualt, and to be honest, so far haven't liked him anywhere near as much as Mako. I had thought "Well, she's not much help"...then when I switched companions I started thinking "Uh-oh, better get Mako!" (yes I actually say that for the laughs). I missed her heals almost immediately as I lay dead to a pack of mobs that had respawned, that I had just killed with ease with her only minutes before. I'm playing with Gualt out, up graded him to the Tatooine, orange quality, Sniper Rifle. I'll give him a chance, but I'm thinking I'm going to go with Mako for the most part when the others aren't needed for the story. (Until I get Blizz...Then I'll die a million deaths just to keep him with me.)
  14. From a PVE stand-point: IGC can be your best friend while soloing. It keeps agro off your companion, and you can keep them shielded just in case. Especially while using Mako. I use a shield gen., nothing like 20% more insurance while soloing. And, even as DPS, I can, and have, tanked Flash-points. Yes, the healer stays on his or her toes a bit more, but it can be done. just my opinion, and prefered way of doing things.
  15. And "tons" of us had not...Thanks for the info OP. I'll have to check it out.
  16. This is one of my favorites ooops, just noticed the "pvp" part...Haven't pvp'd yet in SWToR. Don't know if I'll ever get to it.

    New BH

I leveled a merc to 30...got bored. rolled a PT...having a blast! I feel like I'm doing just as much or in some instances more dps than my merc. Why? because PT is faster and more mobile. If something gets up in your grill, so to speak, you don't have to get it out before you can use a big hit, because that's exactly where you want them. Right up close and personal. For me, and in my own opinion, Power Tech is more fun. But then, it all comes down to play style. I solo most of the time, others like being in groups more.
  18. My first BH is Merc.. He's sitting on Adleraan collecting dust. (I have several characters) I rolled a new BH and went P.tech.. Man what an eye opener for me. Personally I love the P.tech. He feels stronger and faster to me, and so much fun. But that's my personal opinion. Play what you think is most fun. As soon as I hit the same level as the first, I might delete the Merc. I just enjoy the P.tech so much more. (Side note: I am a DPS P.tech, not a tank spec.)
  19. Ok, now I'm kind of depressed... I just got Quin night before last right before logging out. Played all day yesterday (was my day off), and really like this companion. So obviously I'm not so far as to be betrayed by him. And it really bothers me knowing it is coming. And, not knowing what or whom he betrays you for or to will play a big part I suppose. But just from what I've seen, it would make more sence from my limited experiance playing my S.warrior for Vette to betray you, not Quinn. Quinn is set up to be all about loya......ohhhhh, ok, so the entire time he is pulling the wool, so to speak... /Sadsith
  20. I have enjoyed the story of the Inquisitor so far. I just got my Legacy name night before last though, so I don't know the whole thing. I will say this: I've played complete Dark. No light options taken at all. There were points where I thought it might mess up my story, but infact it only enhanced it. Some NPCs think I'm a total lunatic, and most are scared to death of me. Only on my Scorcerer do I go into the frame of mind of "I don't care, kill it". I play on an RP server just for that reason. I get into my characters and it's like they are an extention of myself. Only with the Scorcerer do I let my "Dark passions" rise...And it is seductive...
  21. I find it very odd that people are saying that this is the most difficult class to play. I am finding rather easy, and I hit Tatooine at level 24 (now 26). I'm marksman Sniper. Maybe it's because I went out of my way to keep Kaliya and myself both up to date on gear. I do know I've died less on this Sniper and my Gunslinger than on my Jedi Sentinal. Sith Sorcerer is a beast, I admit that. So is Jedi Sage if played well. Bounty hunter get's hairy at times (mine is not in oranges with top for his level mods). I really have to say that out of the characters I've played so far IA is one of the easiest. And also one of the most fun...But I want to shove Kaliya right out the nearest airlock. I want a JAWA <.> Can we steal them from the BH? please!
  22. I actually got my hopes up at the end of Balmora on my IA Sniper. Well, the end of the Sniper story line there any way. Just as you leave, if you mouse over the guy you were under cover with, you will/would see that you can talk to him one last time. It's on the virge of being flirtatious. And you actually ask him to go with you. He sais he wishes he could but can't, he has responsabilities. (paraphrased of course), But not only did I think for just a brief moment that I was actually going to get a second companion earlier than I thought, but a SS romance option. I personally stear clear of all OS flirt conversations with him, and always will. I'll drop a quest line if I have to. Only because that's not how I think of this character, and how I want to play him. I too am waiting almost impatiently for the SS romance options to finally go live. How I'd want it implimented for my IA? I'd want to meet up with that NPC on another planet, have him say something to the effect that his responsibilities on Balmora are finished, and ask if I still want him to come along. And let the story unfold from there. I think it would fit the story arch of a SS romance for IA quite well.
