To add to my earlier update : I checked in the middle of the night (my youngest woke me up, so I figured I'd check after he was settled) and was suddenly able to make a lv60 character when I wasn't able to six hours before that. Also, my customer service ticket had NOT been responded to. I also noticed I had a lot more messages in my mailbox. I had one before, now it was at 7. I hadn't had anything on the GTN, either. So I'm guessing these messages are the subscriber rewards, like Nico Okarr's blasters and the like. So... I hope I'm all set now. Hopefully there is no issue with creating the lv60 character, like being lv1 for no reason.

Update! I just logged in for the heck of it to see if there's been any update on my ticket. There has been no update. But at character select, I can now make a level 60 character. Though I can't purchase a token to do so in the Cartel Market (I'm not sure if anyone can). So... Success....? Note that I'm typing this prior to the 4.0a patch, I don't know what that's for.

I posted what my issue is. I got a new debit card, and activated it the night before my subscription renewal. I'd been a sub since June, wanting all the Nico Okarr stuff. I acknowledge that I wasn't a subscriber at the deadline that was mandated. I accept that. It was unfortunate timing as to when I activated my new debit card (new expiration date means it didn't match my card on file for the subscription renewal, so I wasn't renewed). It's still the same card number, same bank, same account, etc. So I opened a ticket asking if anything can be done. Honestly, I doubt it. And while unfortunate, I'll have no choice but to deal with it. I figure it can't hurt to ask. But at this rate, it feels like they won't get back to me until the Early Access is over.

Been almost 24 hours since I made my ticket. Zero response. This is infuriating.

I recall Mercenary and Commando being fairly stationary before 3.0, has that changed considerably since the new disciplines? Can I expect to be a bit more mobile? And is Gunnery or Assault the more mobile of the two?

I plan on making a female commando, because Jennifer Hale is spectacular. I have a PT so that rules out Vanguard. I want to grab an assault cannon and mow people down. Is Gunnery the discipline for me? Also, anything I should be aware of when starting a Trooper? I plan to go dark side if that matters. As a side note, I do worry about something aesthetically - A massive assault cannon on a type two character. I worry it would look silly, but I think there's plenty of assault cannons of varying shapes and sizes to mitigate that. So should I put that fear to rest?

Cyborgs have three different types of sunglasses, with tons of variations for each. Miraluka have one. C'mon now.

I thought I saw an option in the menu to turn all cinematics off. Does that work with this cinematic in question? Or does it not apply? I've never clicked that option, so I don't know.

It's seemingly little things like this that, when added up together, equal a bunch of things that simply never got corrected. Stuff from literally years ago that have never been addressed. It's laziness on the part of the developer. I enjoy the game. Hell, I love the game. But if my customers repeatedly, over and over, asked me for the exact same thing... And I ignored them? For this long? I'd be out of a job. /signed

I saw that on Reddit as well. It makes sense for there to be a new, faction-neutral hub. I mean, Republic and Empire are almost destroyed at the point where the expansion begins, right?

Exactly why they should allow us to have free transfers OFF of this damn server.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong: Weren't the Oceanic/Australian servers rolled into Harbinger as well? So they could bring a couple of those servers back... Then allow free transfer to those... Or go the much, much simpler "Let me off Harbinger for free" route. We'll still be playing the game. We'll still be giving you money, BioWare. But now we'll be happier. Happier means we're more willing to spend money. Why are we going to pre-order Shadow of Revan when our server isn't online for us to play? Why are we going to spend money on the Cartel Marketplace when we keep getting interrupted in our playing time? Restrict the server transfer to subscribers if you really want. But let us off.

I'm mostly in the game for the class storylines. I enjoy the occasional PvP but my life doesn't depend on it. My personal life means Operations basically are out of the question due to work and my family, plus other hobbies. So... Yeah, I think I would be better off. I can't speak for everyone of course, but I know I'm not the only one willing to do this. And this helps everyone else on Harbinger. I really don't see a downside to allowing free transfers off.

Look, Harbinger has a high population. I get it. I understand that. So to alleviate that, can you enable free server transfers off of Harbinger? It should relieve some of the stress on the server, right? Not all of us picked Harbinger. Lots of servers have been rolled together over the years. Some of us ended up on Harbinger, for better or worse. It doesn't seem right that I'd have to pay to get off the server so that I can actually play the characters I've spent a lot of time on.

Really, there's two sides to this: 1. Does it make sense lore wise? 2. Is there demand for it? You make good points for the first. But the second overrides number one if they think they can make money on it.

Your point about the Knight: Exactly. All it ever takes is for one to set a precedent. "Wookiees can't be Jedi!" And then there was one. "Chiss can't be Jedi!" And then there was one. All the more reason Voss should be playable.

Being a Chiss Inquisitor, a Mirialan Warrior, etc are all the more reasons to allow the Voss be playable. Frankly, they don't have to justify anything lore wise. All it ever takes is one character before people say "Well, HE was one!" And there has been a Chiss Jedi in the comics, for the record.

Voss is more probable than Togruta. Look, let's face it: BioWare will take the easiest route to pleasing people. Twi'lrk lekkus still have than annoying dragging issue when people turn their heads, for example, let alone another way to "wear" their lekku. So any race with funky head accessories? More than likely not going to happen. Personally, I've accepted that. I don't like it but I have accepted that. Voss? Easy. Easy to implement. Plenty of models in the game already, they speak Basic, really not much work to be done (when compared to other potential species). As for lore reasons? There are Chiss Jedi and Mirialan Sith, Rattataki Smugglers and much stranger oddities in the Star Wars universe. Lore can get tossed out the window on this. I'd love to play a Nautolan. I really would. Kit Fisto was one of my favorite Jedi. But I've accepted it won't happen in TOR due to funky head stuff. Voss aren't out the realm of hope, however.

Storyline issues went out the door when they let us be Sith Pureblood Jedi.

Voss. Voss is a realistic goal here. Plenty of models in the game, speak Basic, no funky head stuff going on that'd cause clipping issues.

Look, just accept it. Its not going to happen. You will not get new playable races that have stuff on their head. I LOVE the Nautolan race. I'd love to play as one. But it won't happen. It caused too many clipping issues. If we get another race, its a human redskin, like the Mirialan are. That's why I'm betting for Voss as playable next. "Oh but that'd cause lore issues!" That went out the window when we got the ability to play as Sith Pureblood Jedi. Human reskins is what we will get, and that's it.

If you haven't logged into the character in 8-12 months, your name on the server should become forfeit and thrown back into the "up for grabs" pool.

I just paid to unlock Treek. Now I'll pay to get her to shut up.
