  1. Were these only for players subscribed before Dec 3rd? I resubscribed today and don't see the pilot suits or paint jobs anywhere. I understood that only the gunship stuff required a previous subscription.

    SWTOR Pixel Art

Not sure if there are any pixel artists in these parts, haven't seen much SWTOR pixel art, so in a bout of boredom, I decided to use SWTOR as a spring board to teach myself pixel art. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7012/6833633203_25aa1ea969_m.jpg Feel free to crit, just getting into pixel art, so it's nothing spectacular. (Click through if you want to zoom in.) But mostly I've posted because I'm interested in seeing anything else anyone's done, so feel free to post any SWTOR pixel art you've created and/or seen here!
  3. This needs to be in the game if there is going to be a deserter status. Heck, it needs to be in regardless. It's very frustrating losing commendations and daily victories by getting booted to the character select screen all of the sudden. Even though it only takes 5 seconds to log back in, we're out of the match.
  4. Sorry but this fix doesn't work, I just ran into this obnoxious bug a moment ago, logged in for the first time today, queued, got a match, was about to win and poof, character select out of nowhere. It wouldn't be so frustrating if D/Cs like this gave players a minute or two to get back into the match... Losing the daily win is frustrating, especially if you're on a server where your faction doesn't win often. Regarding the other bug the OP ran into, I haven't run into that exact bug, but I did run into a bug where I died and respawned stuck on the ground in my faction's start location. /stuck simply did nothing, and I was booted after "inactivity." It is in fact the case that all in-game issues are BioWare's "fault." (Read: responsibility) The only thing you can argue is potentially the user's fault are crashes due to external software, hardware issues etc. (Installed drivers incorrectly, installed incompatible hardware, etc.) A hardware issue or external program couldn't cause his character to fall through the ground, and if that were the case, it would still be a developer oversight. Now whether or not it's worth crying over is another thing. I would like to see some sort of workaround put into place to prevent losing commendations and daily wins because of random crashes like this though. I also really wish they had left the /die command in game, there's no reason not to, and it would certainly solve issues like falling through the ground, or being stuck in a KO position.
  5. Good tip, many people don't know about this feature! I did at the time, but I didn't realize she became dark or light at that moment, I figured you turned her over time afterwards.
  6. It's been established that it was based on alignment, but this is really interesting, I hadn't heard anyone else who played through as a dark side character actually have an option to make her light.
  7. Earlier in the thread, someone said that she literally asks you whether or not to be dark or light if your character is neutral. It's much more likely than any convoluted method of tracking your decisions, because they'd have to store a variable they might otherwise not have to store, for that one situation, on one class. If anyone else can provide any personal experiences with playing through that scene with a neutral alignment, that should clear up the last details surrounding Jaesa I think.
  8. If this is true, that basically confirms that the conversation and choices leading up to meeting her have 0 impact. This is valuable data thank you. Also - I feel your pain. I am in the process of re-leveling my warrior myself, having to re-play 30 levels of the same class is painful. If this is true, I don't know why I don't remember seeing this. But in reality, now that I think on it, I may have ended up being light 1 at the time that I met her, as maintaining neutral sometimes doesn't last. It seems likely this was the case, can anyone else who was neutral provide any other data on their conversation choices during the scene where you meet and recruit Jaesa? It seems like they have no bearing if you are a neutral character either, and you are simply presented with a choice? Did all neutral players experience this? Looks like I know what to do now, a bunch of levels to go, but I'll just have to run some instances to make sure I'm perfectly neutral before I face Karr.
  9. Bumping to see if anyone has a definitive answer.
  10. I've read in multiple locations that this is simply a false statement, moreover, it does not apply to me as my character was neutral at the time of the quest. Seeing as it is possible to be neutral, and there is no "neutral" Jaesa, it seems unlikely that this is the case. If someone else can corroborate this though, feel free. For instance, if you were entirely light sided, and chose all dark options during the quest, and received a light Jaesa still, that would be proof. But a majority of the evidence points to this not being the case. Your own alignment seems to have little bearing on your companions, as far as I am aware you can romance so called "Lightside" companions, even as a dark sided character, assuming you make the proper choices in specific conversations, etc. Hopefully "some people" is not referring to me. I recognize that it may very well be a single conversation choice, but to say that we simply "tell her to be light or dark" is a bit off, unless my memory is completely awful. In which case, please correct me, but in doing so, cite the conversation choice that controls this. If you know of the exact moment you choose in the conversation, and which choice leads to which outcome, please let me know! I would like very much to avoid a second restart over something so trivial.
  11. Vanguard is my main as well! To be fair, the characters were likely written with the average player mindset for that class in mind, also, trooper is a unique exception. It's the only class where every companion is a member of the same organization, (the Republic military.) Obviously, there are going to be similarities between the motives and dispositions of people who enlist in, join, and rise to the top ranks of the same military body. Thanks for the response! But ctually, this is the problem, I'm trying to reconcile these two statements. These are the two general consensuses that I find when I look for information on this topic. But which is it? The first statement implies, the entire thing hinges on whether or not I kill her master. The second statement implies that I should blanket choose dark side choices in front of her. What I need is to nail down exactly which choices matter and don't matter in relation to her alignment being chosen. First of all, to clarify, only decisions when I have finally met her in person mater? Has anyone chosen all LS choices up until meeting her in person? (I.E. spare her parents and the master on Tatooine.) Then chosen DS choices and received a DS Jaesa? In addition, what about decisions during the scene with her and her master? Is it possible to choose all LS choices, for instance, to have her use her ability on me? To attempt to avoid battle, etc, etc. Then make one dark side choice to kill her master, and result in a DS Jaesa? Has anyone successfully made all LS choices, except letting her master live and received a DS Jaesa? I'd like to be able to nail down exactly what conversation option results in a DS Jaesa to avoid having to play through 30 levels of the same class more than twice!
  12. I haven't been able to find a clear, definite answer on this one, but I'm not an active forum user, so it may have floated by without me noticing. (Irrelevant background information incoming, Skip to TL;DR for the question) As a static duo-er on my main, I decided to pick up Sith Warrior as an alt to play whenever my duo partner wasn't online. I was having a blast playing him as a chaotic neutral character. With no real regard for the "Sith Imperative" of "kill everyone that's not useful to me" my character only killed if it made his life easier. But I was by no means playing a "good" character, my alignment was perfectly neutral. Anyway, the first chapter finally comes to an end and I realize I've made choices in such a way that I am forever stuck with a Jaesa Wilsaam that is under some farcical impression that I'm trying to "change the Empire from the inside." This couldn't be further from the truth, my character doesn't give a crap about the Empire, and now my companion freaks out any time I kill a person. Naturally, if this were a single player RPG, I'd just re-load an old save, but I'm SoL. I wasn't hopeful when I sent a ticket in that I'd get a favorable response. I was curious if there was perhaps a server image my character could be restored to, I never imagined the ticket would go wholly unanswered for almost two weeks. So I've finally decided to just delete my Sith and re-roll, and painfully grind through 30 levels all over again. But this time, I want to make absolutely sure that I don't end up with a light side Jaesa. That being said, I would still like to stick to my character's personality as much as possible. With that said... TL;DR What exact dialog options must be selected in order for Jaesa to be a dark side companion? I understand it has nothing to do with your own alignment, but the decisions you make in her storyline. From what I understand, the actual act of converting her to the dark side requires you order her to kill her master, is this true? If so, what decisions must you make for that option to appear? Though I wasn't looking for it, I'm quite certain that option wasn't available to me during that mission, though it may have been a branch I didn't take starting with some other dialog. Can I spare her parents and the Jedi on Tatooine and still have her kill her master? Can I have her use her special force sense power on me, having made those decisions, and still order her to kill her master? I understand that if I simply make blanket dark side decisions the entire story arc, I'll be able to force her to the dark side. But ideally I'd like to stick to my character as much as possible. Thank you for any responses! If someone has unequivocal knowledge of the decisions necessary, I appreciate that! But even if you can simply provide the decisions you made, and the outcome you received (dark or light) hopefully we can mete out the details from a number of personal accounts!
  13. I can't help but feel like "optimization" in regards to guard, means that it's getting nerfed. Unless it's terribly underpowered at high levels, though I can't imagine that being the case. I'm enjoying the support for tanks in PvP, and hope to see this support continued! Not sure about the removal of companions from Ilum, I figured companions had a perfect place in open world PvP, why not leave them? Everyone has access to one, so it's still a balanced fight. One of the most frustrating parts of open world PvP in an MMO is the rock-paper-scissors nature of class balance. With a companion to balance out our weaknesses, it levels the playing field a bit, and makes fights more interesting, and more importantly, more skill based. This has been my experience with open world PvP anyway. That said, bring on the warzone selection!
