  1. Just make EACH OPTION a choice in preferences. You cannot design a cooldown/UI to make EVERY SINGLE PERSON happy. Just make 3-4 options to encompass a wide range of styles, and let us choose which one we want to us. This seems like a really common sense solution. You cannot make a single solution fit a million molds. Diversity = happiness.
  2. Here is mine from a recent post that will get drowned out: On fixing Ilum, 1) World PVP Needs to be Easy to Access Having played world PVP in almost every game in which it was accessible I can firmly say that what generates true world PVP is ease of access. What this game need is a boarding pass (possibly un-lockable from quests/fights on Ilum) that would automatically transport a player to their factions base. WHY THIS WOULD HELP This would help because the more barriers between accessing world PVP, the fewer players will engage in it for pure fun. Currently, players only go to Ilum to do their daily. I do not believe that is the intent of the developers. If players were able to transport to their base easily (not running through three loading screens and a lot of down time- to ship, to world, to dock, to ground, to flight path, to map locations) will make more players come to Ilum purely for fun. 2) Implement Open Grouping On Ilum The other deterrent for players to join open PVP on Ilum is a feeling that they will be left alone and easily killed. This makes Ilum a perfect place to do mandatory open grouping - a la Rift/Warhammer. When players transport themselves to their faction's base they will automatically be put in a ops group with players on their team. WHY THIS WOULD HELP Open grouping would allow players of each faction to see where their team is, and to feel engaged in the fighting on Ilum without worrying that they will just wander the icy area alone until they get ganked. I think we all know that the vast majority of servers are going to see an empty Ilum very soon, and open grouping will have a very positive effect on making it fun and easy to enter. Thanks, Basil, Grand Master Zym
  3. Hi everyone, First, please rate this or post here if you think that this idea will help. It would be nice if constructive suggestions were given priority so that the developers might actually see them. 4. A couple things: First, leading up to a server queue is an empty server. Empty servers discourage the player-base to stick around, because it is hard to form groups, hard to make friends, hard to see content, etc. This hurts the game quite a lot. Second, once server merging actually happens it signals the "death of the game" to the MMO crowd. It is pretty much impossible to recovered from that point in the community.
  5. Here's the thing though - you won't actually cancel your sub just because of queues. Nobody does. Sure, it is frustrating. Like I said, I wrote this while I was waiting in a queue. But nobody just stops playing because of queues - the anticipation is too high. Better to use the energy and anticipation that is rampant now, to make people be patient, than to give in to that impatience now and ruin the game for the rest of the people that stick it out in a year.
  6. Having played every other major MMO during its release, the one thing that I always see is companies adding a ton of servers at start that then have to be taken down and merged in a few months. Please do NOT cave to the pressure right now. I am currently stuck in a queue as a type this and that is FINE with me. People stuck in a queue right now will complain, but they will still play. People stuck on an empty server later will actually quit playing. The anticipation at launch is enough to keep people around through these queues. Please, do not give into the pressure and open too many servers. Things will work out fine.
