What I am more concerned about is other classes, and their viability particularly in ranked. 3.0 was the perfect time to make the gimped classes like snipers/merc dps actually viable in ranked pvp, and it was not done.
As for VG/PTs. Enjoy the ride of overpowered bursts. It will not last forever. I can't wait to see how many shelve their toons when their burst is taken down a notch.
I agree that other classes (merc, sniper, Mara) need to be brought up to par.
I can speak for the Ebon Hawk only, but you're right. I have seen an influx of PTs and VGs after 3.0 . But they're laughable as far as player skills go (granted it doesn't take much to pull off the burst). I'm seeing people that don't know which cell to use for which spec, no taunts , and struggle with the already simplistic mechanics of the trees. I won't deny the PTcleave that's been going around (although I haven't seen 6 PT games whereas I've had some games with 5-6 sorcs, some of which are consistently from a certain guild
).As far as the nerf... Lol it won't change anything for me personally, I've mained a VG since beta, but at least I won't have to put up with the people embarrassing themselves on theirs once they shelve it post-nerf.

Wow, offensive much? Also nice to see you had to crop everything else out, but hey while we are on the subject of fotm whats with all the sorc superqueues or that 6 man juggernaut premade? Or all the hatred assassins that are popping up all over?
But I'm not even sure why I should waste my time with someone who doesn't even dare to display their IGN.

I've actually seen more sorc groups than assassins. LolForceStorm much.

I would say Vanguard is FoTM because FoTM implies that a lot of people are playing it, at least on my server its rare to have more than one powertech in a match, and quite often me and Grizz are the only two Vanguards in the match, and even when we do encounter other PTs they usually are not very good or not very bright.
I've started to see a lot more recently, both pubside and impside on TEH. Usually in two's and three's from the same guild, and on occasion the groups get into the same match.

EDIT: A lot of them aren't very good either (what's a taunt?) but it doesn't take much brain cells to pull off the lolburst.
At any rate, I agree. They are FOTM atm.

This QQ train about burst is funny. On TOFN in yolo I'm the first target as an AP PT, they usually take me out first in every game amongst my team. Frankly if you let an AP PT run around you deserve to die.
AP PTs have THE most predictable burst in the game. You have 2 *********** bombs ticking on you, if you stand like a melon taking this to the face then more fool you. Also, know that when I fire one rocket I sure as hell ain't sitting on the other 6.
Frankly a good concelment op laughs all over us and literally makes us look like fools. Sins who know when to use their two shrouds can cause trouble. Sage who knows about bubble is trouble. Snipers who roll at the right time and flash bang our explosive fuel or shield are trouble. Basically, any class in this game can be countered in one way or another to some extent. If what you see in that video happens to you, son you have some L2P issues.

For some reason I can't get to the 3rd page of this thread so this question may have already been answered. The recruitment link on your site says shadow recruitment is closed, is this still the case? I just rolled a new shadow as I'm returning to the game and plan on applying as soon as I hit 55. Thanks!
... I was lurking around the forums and happened to see this.
Time to post constructively for once.All of the Jedi AC's are closed for the time being because of the high number of Force users/Jedi we already have at the moment relative to the other classes at the moment. Our intention is that BB is a guild majorly populated by smugglers and troopers (Troopers, troopers, TROOPERS)... but that is certainly not the case at the moment.
However, that's not to say you can't go ahead and apply. We can make an exception depending on your application.

The Backrocket Bastards would like to introduce Naveh Kor-vas to the fray.
A nerf herder, tried and true, from the genial grasslands of Dantooine. Naveh became relevant to the greater galaxy by, quite literally, squeezing through the cracks of enlistment into the armed forces of the Galactic Republic. She forged her documentation when she signed up, putting her in service two years before she was qualified to join in accordance with regulations and protocol. The finest adrenals credits can buy don't compare to the inherently cranked charisma of Naveh Kor-vas. She lives for the thrill, there's no doubt about that. Her insatiable craving to charge headstrong into commotion, coupled with her vibrant and nurturing spirit, landed her right smack dab in the middle of things when the fighting started. A top notch medic, to say the least.
Naveh was relieved when the Cold War ended, but didn't exactly welcome what was left in its wake. She knew that all-out-war was inevitable, but nothing could prepare anyone to piece together the surplus of blown apart bodies brought about by the return of the Galactic War. Yet, still, she weathered the storm and allowed its brutal rain and howling winds to serve as a reminder... "It was long past time to run those [imperial] ******es back to whatever far corner the galaxy they crawled out of."
So, here she is, the combat medic known as Naveh has found herself entangled with the Backrocket Bastards, a motley crew of Republic vigilantes intent of striking the Sith Empire from existence once and for all. How will she fit in and what purpose will she serve? Only the future and arguably the Force will tell...
Welcome! Great addition addition to the team, and finally a young man isn't the only trooper in the guild anymore...
