I agree with some other posters that if you are having trouble with AP tanks pressure the tank with a carnage mara or a sorc. As someone who plays AP tank it's very difficult to guard the healer and live while a carnage mara sits on me and a ranged dot class dots up me and my healer. Last night a team caught me off guard doing this exact same thing and my team lost our first game against them. Most teams run two smash have one of them switch to carnage and sit on the tank while the other sits on the healer. With good coordination, most tanks will die through guard with that much pressure put on them. You have to adapt your strategy to deal with new threats in the metagame, using the same strat you use against a full tank team is not going to work on a hybrid tank team.

Can't tell if actually GM from Brazil Force or an elaborate troll . All the old imps need to come back though soon. I was actually losing to Brazil Force premades while I was pugging this week and usually a Brazil Force premade is easier to beat than 8 random pubs.

Like others said it's not an offensive tool you place in a group of enemies but rather a defensive tool you use to drop around yourself, a healer or an objective for protection.

Anyways while I won't be able to participate on Saturday b/c I'm moving I would like to try this comp at some point -Veng Jugg -Pt tank -Merc heals -Sniper I think PT tank will be very good in 4v4 because of the pull root and the fact the intercede is so OP in Huttball it's really all that's keeping PT tanks out of ranked ATM. Veng Jugg for taunts and Intercede along with great single target burst to complement the sniper. Merc heals b/c why not they're super tanky healers and their kolto shell heal thingy is much better in a smaller scale PvP and the net will neuter melee dps. The tank will be able to spend much less time babysitting a Merc healer so he/she can concentrate more on dps and CC. Sniper over other ranged b/c no mara on the team means you need a sniper for the healing debuff plus flash bang is an excellent CC. I know this comp isn't FOTM classes but I think it could work out quite nicely. Either that or I really just want a reason to play my PT again.

If those MVP guys knew the amount of **** talking Mega and Neverdie did about them in the <is bad> mumble they'd probably gkick him on the spot lol. But seriously there's like 7 teams that q right now which is about what it's been at since the fall or better. HSP, Horizon, S Key, Ubique, Onslaught, Legend, a couple others and the occasional pug so the rwz scene isn't dead and is likely to pick up after 2.0. And all that SS proves is that MVP either wanted to farm the other team instead of cap or they don't know how to cc properly.

Joey has played plenty of rateds on his sorc and PT. Back in RSU days and with Is Bad now. He also plays with Casual in regs. So sorry HSP gm but you just made yourself look like an idiot and you fell right into his troll. If you're going to call somebody out for not playing rateds at least make sure they haven't done them. Anyone that's played with Joey knows he's a huge troll and you just fed him the motherlode.

It is kinda true right now. I play a marauder and if predation didn't exist I guarantee you my spot on the rwz team would be replaced by a sniper or pt. People can complain about lolsmash all they want but the fact is carnage will always be better than rage for ranked play. Rage is fun for regs and inflating your epeen damage numbers but the fact is even with bubble stun gone it's not good enough for ranked. Not that it's terrible for ranked just that there are much better options.

<is bad> is going to try to do rwz on Sunday afternoon when the Europeans are doing them. BTW we're com capping our toons on live then copying them over a bunch of times to get max pvp gear using legacy gear. I'd suggest you guys do the same because we want to test the balance of max geared pvp.

Been playing PT tank on pts and it's really really good now. As far as pvp goes it got buffed the most out of any class IMO. Oil slick is crazy good and now we can compete with juggs chilling scream with our flame sweep slow. We have an insane amount of mobility and control now. I will get my PT tank into rateds one way or another when 2.0 comes out . Also rwz huttballs will be more interesting now that ops will be the one to grab the ball first with their super rolly sprint thing

I've played quite a few games on my PT tank tonight and it's crazy how much better they are now. 20% self heal with shoulder cannon and redesigned kolto overload greatly increases survivability. Oil slick is now insanely good and very difficult to get out the radius is huge. Jet speed buff , HO, flame sweep slow, and grapple root make us very formidable huttball players now. IMO PT tanks are now competitive with jugg tanks even for RWZ . BW gave us everything we needed to be good in PVP. The only thing i don't like is the change to heat blast

I did some duels on the pts in AP with the full set of Arkanian gear minus relics. The way the talented shoulder cannon talent works is that when you activate it you immediately get 4 missiles it then proceeds to load three more at the normal loading speed for a total of 7 missiles. They crit for about 2.3k and the cooldown between launching them is approx. 0.7 sec. Lining up a RP/RS, with a TD/ED and missile will be a serious amount of burst. However while I think AP is getting better what i'm really excited about is pvp pt tanking in 2.0. The new oil slick is amazing the aoe it generates is bigger than an orbital strike and its extremely difficult to get out of. Plus the jet speed talent is now amazing. As long as you get attacked you get a 30% speed boost. I think pt tanks will be on par with jugg tanks in pvp when 2.0 hits. I can't wait to leap, flame sweep slow, pop HO and haul *** into the endzone in HB .

Any team not running some sort of jugg tank or hybrid jugg tank is severely gimping themselves especially in huttball. Juggs are much better ball carriers and guarders (not node guarding, people guarding) than sins. While many good comps can be run the easiest to be successful with (as long as your jugg isn't terrible at guard swapping) is: -hybrid tank jugg -carnagae mara -hybrid tank sin -pyro pt -op healer -pyro pt -bubble stun sorc healer -marksman sniper

About 5 or 6 of the goombas rerolled imp to help in the reforming of Old Republic War about a month and a half ago. A few of the pkers are in Going Deep one or two are in CasuaI and Komissar just recently joined us in ORW. Exdeth from Meow Mix is also in ORW now. The ranked scene seems to have picked up a bit more recently and I just wish HT and HSP q'd more often .

I've played pure SS and Sab extensively in PVP. Last week I tried out the hybrid and while the aoe and dots are nice the energy management is much more difficult and to do a full burst rotation on a single target will take almost all of your energy. I still like the spec but I don't really see why anyone would run it over pure DF, SS or Sab besides for fun. IMO the biggest drawback of the spec is that you can't get any of the good defensive talents in SS or Sab which makes you extremely squishy.
