Dont worry.. the apology, recognition and invite that you want is on the way. best thing (worked for others, you can see in the posts), turn off your PC.. walk down the road to the neaest cafe, 7-11, pool hall, stripclub, peepshow, mecanic, yoga centre or what you will.. take whatever appointment they have right away that lasts 45 minutes or more.. then stop off for a cookie on the way home. check your mail.. if no email, wash, rinse repeat.

I dont know about the game itself having the setting, but you could try it in nvidia 3d mode (and then out to your TV / not sure what sort of behaviour you would get), but it would be something to do while waiting to get in. Also, as some other posters have noted, i have met the following requirements: - semi-GF has been sent on a plane away for a week - Work vacation has been invoked - Work/life based mobile communication device has been powered off - got the "large" bag of dog food from the pet store. - Laundry (all of it), vacuuming, dusting, the "bathroom" have all been sanitized - Mother and family have been wished Happy Holidays - Monitor and computer area cleaned and cleaned again.. - SW jedi knight 2 played for hours last night when it was discovered we were getting shafter - Box set playing on random on tv in the background (I can hardly recognize new hope from the original). ... sigh..10:30am EST and nadda on the email..

Ya tried the launcher a couple of times.. checking out account status too. problem now is that the web servers are eating it now too.. cant get into account page (time's out).. forums are choked.. yup... wonderful first day. im especially happy to see people get in who pre-ordered after me.. makes me feel real good after feeling like I got ripped off from the whole pre-order scam (please - save your comments about reading fine, print, etc - cause im not alone in feeling as I do, as the forums have shown). boy! - is this ever fun.

Oct 30th - still not in. no answer to email ticket.. nothing from BW.. nice work guys... way to make sure that not only do you ensure people get their EGA, but you made sure that in the forums people would be aware and know what to do if others got in prior.. bah.. this is crappy .. what a thing to do to people..
  10. again, thanks for reading the post nimrod. im talking about a relationship and a feeling as a customer, you're taking about fine print. or maybe you think that all the people who feel cheated are simply wrong? Not the way a market works my friend.. again, defense from people who arent in the game and have nothing better to do.. no real comment from BW. and my tickets' been opened for 2 days now as well.. not even and automated email indicating reception of a problem.. why should i be patient? Im a paying customer am i not? What was the point of the pre-order then?

  12. Im not sure what all the BS going around is. i pre-orderd on the last day of October. Like everyone else here (and please trolls, dont comment on fine print, seperation from Origin or the like, cause im not interested in hearing defense of a pre-purchased product that is not working), I was under the impression that we would be granted access at 1201 EDT on the 15th, providing for 5 days EGA. Now there are more "waves" today as a response to what must have not been a shock to anyone. Whats funny is that no comments from any BW employee's on a recognitiion that this has made us, the market, unhappy and that we feel cheated. As others have indicated, I stayed up last night with friends so we could all have an experience and that was wrecked, we checked this morning and nothing. By noon, we start cancelling.. none of us what to have what blizzard did for the past seven years and BW should have known better. very weak
  13. hmm.. extra waves, new stickies.. doesnt make a difference after the fact.. its now 10am on the 15th here and no EGA emails, no point in pre-ordering and the 'taste" for this approach to CRM (Customer Relationship Manangement) was lost on me with Wow, so thats great that Bioware has decided to do new waves, but really .. BW knows the "general consensus" behind what was sold and has decided to be like every other MMO with regards to how they treat customers.. Fine print declaration and a differentiation from Origin (so they can say without responsibility that they didnt have anything to do with Origin's business model - except that they advertised it on their site). the Support / Phone Lines / Emails are not handled in a professional manner nor is the setup indicative of the fact that BW was ready for this load / influx.. again showing us how "different" we can see this is going to be going forward. Stickies on Forums and having other gamers provided support for your pre-launched game is pretty shameful if you ask me. So.. it being 36 days since I pre-ordered, I have to say that the "fun" in this experience is now gone, even the excitment has waned, since we all were ready to play last night to find out that our pre-order got us nothing but to sit in line.. and then when you are lucky enough to get your number called, the servers are down, not working, etc, etc.. Again BW - nice first impression, way to be "proactive" instead of "reactive"... waves is the only way, after more than 7 years of seing another MMO step through all these hurdles, this is the best that BW came up with? Wow.. i expected more... something different .. something special that would show that setting the whole "SWTOR" experience above and apart for the others was something important.. weak.

I dont understand.. i was a Nov 4th pre-order (or at least thats what is says).. its the 15th here, from all the nice graphs that people seem to be picking out of the air / tweets from RJ, etc.. i should have a nice little invite in my mailbox.. not so. As for all the chatter about the pre-order ad, people can say what they like about the fine print.. but the market (meaning us) generally has similar opinions to reading things and the gist of the ad was that you would be in 5 days before release. this wave stuff coming afterwards and the "pre-order fee" for which seems to amount to nothing now, is just poor CRM .
  15. Fair enough, but with all the development, are you telling me the best they can come up with to deal with the massive peak's seen at launch, new patch, content release, etc is a wave system? Seems more 2001 than 2011 to me.. a la Battle Net wait for Red Alert.
  16. bump - good point.. shows that there isnt anything "new" going on here, just an approach that was used a couple years back by Wow (remember the old queing messages). nice work!
