  1. Incorrect. If you are kicked, you suffer NO lockout timer, regardless of how long you've been in the Flashpoint.
  2. Not sure why you're sighing. They are right and you are wrong. Self-reflection may serve you well. Someone mentioning "the community" does NOT - in any way - indicate that they are somehow speaking for the whole community.
  3. I've rebooted my computer several times now and keep getting errors trying to launch the game. The most frequent thing I've noticed is that it says Game Update 3.3.2 Patch - and the link goes to those patch notes. The game ran perfectly fine just a few days ago and I have not, to my knowledge, downloaded anything new. So... huh? What's going on?
  4. Agh. This character skipped that and leveled up outside of story (although he did get the Kira romance first). I would think that even with the title missing from the original time it was bestowed that the game should include it now as a second chance. Besides, that wouldn't explain the missing "Commodore" or "Keeper" among others.
  5. I was looking forward to changing my smuggler from "Captain" to "Commodore," but I don't see the title available. For that matter, I don't see "Keeper" for my operative or "Battlemaster Jedi" for my... well, my Jedi. Why would they make a point of saying "yep, if you rejoin you'll get this rank" and then not let us display it?
  6. Tried to log in today, but my SWTOR launcher was acting slow... and when it got to the second screen (where it says ST Initializing) I saw the multitude of marketing panels showing game stuff, but that suddenly disappeared and now it only says "There are No Items Available" and at the bottom says "This application has encountered an unspecified error. Please try this patch again." There was a patch in the last two weeks? I re-tried this three times and ended up with the same result. This happening to anyone else? What's going on here??
  7. You apparently haven't read the overview from what George's planned sequels were going to be. Sub-atomic adventures with midichlorians! No, laser blast dodged. Once George no longer had supervision (RotJ) the movies fell into decline.
  8. There's a certain conceit in games like SWTOR that multiple players inhabit the same universe (as well as multiple characters for each of them): you start in the same story and then see how the actions of every character, each with his motivation and dark/light tendencies, changes the narrative. It feels like a cheat somehow if the story is altered in advance based on a character's tendencies. That's exactly what happens on Mek-Sha Pub Side and it's a bit disconcerting. The loyalist Pub meets Imperial Major Anri trying to sabotage the fueling process and disable Republic ships. She's in a face off with Narlock and then she sees you. She immediately recognizes you as the Alliance Commander, determines she's in over her head, and surrenders. So that's how the character of Anri is wired. It should be the SAME Anri that our saboteur Pub meets in the SAME SITUATION. BUT IT'S NOT. The Anri the saboteur Pub meets has NO IDEA who you are. You take out Narlock and tell her to complete her mission - and SHE SAYS NOTHING. It feels like a cheat that this Anri doesn't spout the same "I know who you are!" kind of speech. It feels like a cheat that to prevent her from bringing any kind of word about your faux allegiance back to the Empire at large (and the significant chance that is divulged to the Republic) you somehow get a different version of Anri than the loyalist. Because even though the writers cheated in bringing us a different Anri than the loyalists get, she's STILL going to report back about the "mysterious" person who gave her the chance to finish her mission. Are we supposed to think they won't somehow figure it out?? Once you play through the story on any given side, you have an unspoken understanding that each of your characters on that side are playing through the SAME universe and only your actions dictate/change the outcome. It was disappointing that Anri didn't recognize the traitor Commander and some more clever way of acknowledging that and devising a solution was created. We expect a little better from a story-driven game like this one.
  9. I think it's more telling that you believe that 5.3 MILLION credits is "dirt." Most players in the game don't have that kind of crazy disposable income, but are being punished in 6.0 with crazy costs on everything for the minority do.
  10. You apparently misread my title. I said the Mats tab is UNDERwhelming. I would have been happy if it was just... um... whelming. Other than that, everything is gripped that is legally allowed.
  11. The thought appears to be that since all of this was bandied about in the PTS forums, which are available to everyone, that we should all be aware. The few problems there are - 1) everything is theoretically in flux there so it's difficult to know what the latest iteration is... 2) player reactions are frequently so volatile to changes (rightly so as I've seen) that it's difficult to sort outrage over weeks-old changes versus outrage over yesterday's-change... 3) even knowing that some things happened on PTS doesn't prepare you for having set-ups you worked months to create instantly invalidated when all that it would have taken was to flip Ossus gear to Legacy-bound. Yeah, would have been a hassle to move things around again to re-create the sets we've spent months on, but at least it would be possible. The White Knights can say how the shells will be invalidated in 5 levels so it shouldn't matter. But disappointment DOES matter. I expect to have to re-gear in an expansion. The word was that the set bonuses we had would be good until 75, so I expected to be able to use them until 75. But as Legacy sets, they were obliterated as soon as 6.0 started, and that's bad planning. It doesn't take player's concerns or efforts into consideration. It's DISAPPOINTING... and one more thing that makes the game less fun. And that's why we're here, right?
  12. Hah, exactly! I was typing my last response while you were posting this... the same thing for me. I knew mats by category and location (knowing they were logically sorted type>level>rarity). Now I have to mouse-over every whozit whatchamacallit to find out all that information.
  13. I had already started porting over mats before I realized the limitations of the new tab. Not that it would matter, because all new mats will go in there automatically. This is really what I was hoping for when the news was announced. I had mats arranged by type, level, and rarity and knew them by icon appearance and location rather than the actual mat name. This alphabetical listing is of no help to me. It was fine for buying supplmental supplies from the crafting vendor, but insufficient for keeping up with a wealth of mats across crafting types, especially with all the new mats we're being inundated with. Yeah, that was my point from the get-go. It's better than nothing but underwhelming compared to what we could have received. It's pretty obvious.
  14. I noticed a "some points reset, some not" conundrum as well. I THINK what's happening is... since they changed the Utility layout from 4 tiers of six to 3 tiers of eight, SOME characters cannot recreate the same Utility selections they had before (some utilities are on different tiers now). If you CAN'T recreate your Utility selection, they refund your points to select again. If you CAN recreate your Utility selection, they leave the same choices selected as before and do not refund your points. In every case I had with no point refund, my previous Utilities were all still selected. Every case of point refund could not recreate the original point allocation.
  15. Oh, I fully expected to be leveling up and out of the Legacy Armor sets I had spent months creating across characters. But to have those set bonuses instantly cancelled in 6.0 without means to reclaim them flies in the face of the ability to create Legacy sets that the devs were keen to say was at the heart of Onslaught. All they had to do was make Ossus shells Bind to Legacy. But based on reports here in the forum, that would go against the REAL new rule of Onslaught: Pay More For Everything. The insane price hikes on every tiny piece of the game (they seem to have balanced the prices against the bank accounts of the whales, and the rest of us don't have that kind of credit cash) is proving to be a serious "fun factor" miscalculation... did they forget that we play the game TO HAVE FUN?
  16. Well, that's end of thread right there. Despite your arguing this whole time, you agree with me. I said the implementation was half-baked. That it is underwhelming. You have actually agreed. So how is ANY of that "spitting on something"? That's something you've cooked up in your head to give you some kind of high ground to White Knight the issue. But I never "spit" on anything. You immediately attacked me and then seemed shocked that I defended my position. Once again... you're simply making that up. I NEVER said I "hated" the Crafting Mats Tab. NEVER. In fact, I said SEVERAL times that I've been looking forward to this but found the execution lacking. On the other hand, YOU decided to become Addicted To Outrage and began a barrage of insults and derogatory comments directed AT ME. And now you want to take the high road? Wow, there's some entitlement. We are all here based on whether you can "abide" us or our statements? And the description of behavior here belongs to YOU... acting emotionally stunted ("I know you are but what am I?") when called on your poor behavior. You came in, decided to White Knight this, followed me into another thread and jumped on me without cause, admitted to trolling behavior and now you're reverting back to outrage. Sorry, mate, but I've just been defending myself against your unwarranted assaults. Maybe look in the mirror instead of trying to sling your outrage and finding ways to justify it. First, I haven't been "ragey" but you and these "others" you speak of have gone out of their way to portray me as angry and hating everything in 6.0. They've condescended in their "engagement," trying to portray themselves as all wise and me (and my comments) the rantings of some youngster with control issues. All not true. Second... yes, you've been silly, but you've never been fun nor funny. You've chosen to be a troll. Good on you, but certainly no high road. Which was my point ALL ALONG. Once again, you agree with me. All of this has just been some exercise in exposure for you, truly much ado about nothing. One doesn't have to lavish praise on something before pointing out the flaws and expressing disappointment. I never said I hated the Mats Tab. Almost everything you've tried to characterize about me is either wrong or grossly exaggerated. When it's all said and done: YOU AGREE WITH ME. So there we go.
  17. Just seems like another thing that was only half-done. A shame, because there are many positive things going on in 6.0. But nullifying current Legacy armors out of the game isn't one of them. (Nor is the insane cost of costing now, but that's a different migraine altogether.)
  18. I DO understand that. Which is why I responded as to how ridiculous it is to start making presumptions that because I think one feature is half-baked I somehow think EVERYTHING is awful. There just is no logic to that and there's no reason why anyone should leap to such an extreme conclusion especially without any additional context. No, not intelligent or sensible ones. Especially when the original criticism isn't a frothing stream of howling anger... when the actual criticism is "underwhelming." How could ANYONE then extend that to include hating every other new feature? That's just an unthinking way to try to dismiss a criticism by illogically taking it to an extreme of including everything else too. Sorry. Doesn't fly. You should worry more about not making sense, because this argument doesn't. It is everything illogical. I'm certain I'm older than you (definitely wiser since you don't seem to get what logic is and how to use it). I honestly don't think there's any pointer you can give me that I don't know and know better... in return, I suggest you look up what logical fallacies are and start marking down how you commit many of them. Good luck, curmudgeon.
  19. The really sad thing here is that you believe you're being funny. Humor isn't your strong suit. Trolling seems to be.
  20. I DID say how it could be improved. There is no denying that this thing is only part-way implemented. I don't know why (except for some admitted trolling) that people who are satisfied with something half-done feel the need to berate someone who points it out. But not everyone does, and there have been plenty of folks in this thread that have also seen how much better it could have been.
  21. The real light of truth is that they only went part-way with the tab. Zero ability to sort how all of the mats under each crafting category display. It's alphabetical and that's it. So it's a great idea that falls short in the execution. Is it better than nothing? Sure! Is it what we all hoped it would be? Not really. It only goes part way. What it does do is great, but overall... underwhelming.
  22. *wow* I was bummed about 40 or so. EIGHTY? That... that's just PAINFUL.
  23. Quite seriously, yep. And hey, that's great. I was very enthusiastic when the Mats Vault was announced. And I certainly didn't say that they had no use at all. I simply said they were half-done. Incomplete. Could be so much better. So... basically, because I find this iteration lacking and incomplete, I should not be allowed to use it at all? Or not allowed to point out that it's only half-done if I DO use it? Yeah, that makes so much sense! So... since I commented on how I find one new element underwhelming and incomplete, I must therefore HAVE TO dislike every single other change made in 6.0? I'm not sure where you learned about logic and how to use it... but you're doing it wrong.
  24. All they had to do was make Ossus gear Bind to Legacy and that part would have been fixed. That it was "known in advance" to some doesn't make it any smarter of a decision or any less deserving of a complaint.
  25. Keep trolling comments with nothing to contribute. I'm sure that will go well for you. LOL
