  1. check out what i underlined, 7% is NOT a massive buff so dying a little slower is what it is supposed to do, and i notice you deleted everything about striker fighters accuracy at the end of my post which is ABOVE the max evasion a scout can get. stop focusing on 1 detail while avoid others because they dont suit your argument. Thank You! edit: oh yea as it has been pointed out ACCURACY is the counter to evasion.
  2. do you have anything at all constructive to add? its amazing how you and many other here avoid what details make it balanced and disregard them when its all put right in front of you.
  3. oh and i forgot about the probe you or a team member can drop to debuff your enemies evasion by 10% and accuracy by 10%. edit: and you can drop more than one with the upgrade and if they stack then thats 20% less evasion and accuracy for enemies in its range.
  4. since ppl only want to bother with what details concern them i thought i would lay it out. Scout only Shield ability Distortion Field: +15% evasion -30% shield capacity (per shield arc) active ability increase evasion by 65% for 3 seconds (6 if upgraded) time extension tier 3 upgrade Strike Fighter only shield ability Charged Plating: +40% shield bleed through +55 shield capacity (per shield arc) active ability hull dmg reduction increased by 60% for 15 seconds (19 if upgraded) time extension tier 2 upgrade not sure if typo but it shows the pike gets +50% shield bleed through. seems pretty fair to me, that if you want to nerf the scouts shield ability then you should probly nerf the strike fighters too since it pretty much makes them as others have said about the scouts "invincible". scouts dont get anything to take down shields where as the star Guard can switch from Ion Cannon to Quads and take a ship down in nothing flat, and the Pike has the ion missle which they can double with proton right away and take out any ship again in nothing flat. and using distortion field means the scout gets 30% less shield perr arc. my Flashfires evasion is 31% +75% from the ablity my Star Guards accuracy is 101% with Quads and 107% with Ion and +20% accuracy with wingman that is also applied to 2 allies within 1km my Pikes accuracy is 101% with quads +20% from wingman. even if the flashfire was using lightweight armor with all 3 upgrades for 12% more evasion it still wouldnt be more than either of the strike fighters acuracy. i do not have access to the gunship so if these abilities are usable by them i apologize for saying it was only for those, but as they stand a Scout doesnt get Charged Plating and a Strike Fighter doesnt get Distortion field and both seem like pretty epic abilities which give each ship a "rawr" moment. so as the topic says "Evasion Is Fine"
  5. first off i would like some facts that ppl are quitting GSF because of this beyond your word. second any ship can kill any other ship very quickly given the right circumstances. got one thread QQing about scouts having evasion and being able to escape, this one you have ppl QQing that they shouldnt be able to do any real dps. basically what you guys want are paper targets floating around space so you can get a higher kill count. i kill plenty of scouts and GS's in my pike, i kill plenty of strikers and GS's in my flashfire (dont have gunship) and i get killed plenty by all 3 types, this takes me to an old saying, you win some you lose some. im not saying nothing in GSF needs adjustments and/or buffs/nerfs but we cant know that cause all this is, is a bunch of QQ. this ship killed me when i was using this ship that shouldnt happen, more info would help. were you at full shields/hull or was your hull red? were you using directional shield and they hit you from the other end? were you sitting at a sat twiddling your thumbs and they got the jump on you? from my exp it takes alot more than 1-2 shots to get through a shield and bypass only bypasses 35% of the shield. and since the build scouts are using that tears ships up uses rapids im more inclined to believe that you either A) already took a great bit of dmg or B) werent paying attention or C) tried to run away from the scout, which strikers cant do, and GS's have a hard time doing (unless they are among the ones that park near the capital ship).
  6. um excuse me? so something that can negate evasion has no place in a discussion where ppl claiming a scouts evasion (or evasion in general) is OP? you might want to rethink that.

  8. like many have said it mostly comes down to pilot skill, and correct me if im wrong but arent there upgrades to increase accuracy which in turn would negate some of the evasion of the scout your shooting at? i know theres an active ability to increase accuracy. again i could be wrong but im noticing a trend on the GSF forums of some ppls builds not working out so well against some others and they yell OP, and Nerf! News Flash: there is NO god build that will make you immune to everything and make you the best pilot. i use distortion field on my flashfire and i HAVE been killed with it active, it comes down to the enemies accuracy, my evasion, RNG and who is the better pilot. and if you have more than 1 person firing at you then you chance of being hit with distortion active is increased its not an "i win button".

  10. you do the same, read this very very slowly, the Ops team is still going to be working on Ops, while the GSF team works on GSF regardless if its pvp or pve focused. not sure where you get the idea that the team making and designing the ground based ops would do the GSF content.
  11. and that brings us back around to your assumptions, you still Assume that IF we get any pve content that it will be an ops, and if it was it would not be anything like the normal ground ops which is why it would fall on the new GSF dev team and not the Ops dev team. again if there were a GSF ops it would not in anyway affect the ground game and instead reward things to be used in GSF weather it be cosmetics or components. they would not give this job to the normal Ops team and have the GSF team sit on there hands for 10 hours a day.
  12. nobody is forcing you to play a game you have "nothing to do" in. and who said there Ops dev team would get moved to GSF? you do realize that in MMO's they have different departments working on different aspects of the game rright? from bug fixes to class story to ops and now gsf.

GSF is the expansion, and its not even fully live yet which you can see in the dev tracker. whats done is done and complaining about it isnt going to make them say "omg we upset bylinski with GSF lets take it out of the game and give them a new ground based Ops". so far enough ppl like the expansion and we still have 2 batches of players yet to get into GSF. and since beta they have been working on a better space game than the one on rails they gave us so im guessing they have ALOT of plans for it, buckle up cause were is just getting started.
  15. and it could also give new players getting into GSF a less stressful environment to learn to pilot and catch up in upgrades (not that a stock ship cant take an upgraded one but many think they cant) atleast in Story Mode.
  16. cause game modes you want is the only thing that matters? guess again... the more i think about it the more i want them to add GSF Ops with unique cosmetics and components and as an alternative way of gaining ship/fleet requisition.

  18. i dont think there has been any word of a GSF Op, if they did make pve content for it, it would more than likely be similar to FP's. and even if there were a GSF Op im sure it wouldnt drop armor and weapons for your character instead it would give fleet/ship requisition and maybe some unlocks for the ships you cant get else where but even that i doubt.. and since you dont like GSF and prefer those other 2 games then why not leave GSF alone and go play those games? lol it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out they wouldnt put ground gear in GSF. maybe comms but comms are already easy to get so that wouldnt make any difference at all.
  19. PVE scenarios could work if done right, make it like FP's pretty much. not saying i would like it or hate it but it seems like it could be done.

  21. i was really disapointed when i found out you cant kamikaze ships or turrets, but i do like parking my SF inside a turret and when some unsuspecting scout comes along Surprise! lol

  23. i called you inept cause the info you seek is in the thread, and it was even reposted just for you! that is why i called you inept not cause you dont know the build or what bukakke means, reading comprehension.... get some! edit: also i said in this thread i do my OWN THING and use the components I LIKE! when did i say i spend hours looking up the best build?

  25. i hate the idea of directional shield and being totally exposed on one end, not trying to bag on anyone its just not my cup of tea. for my scouts i prefer to use distortion field and for my strikers i use the shield recharge (forgot what its called). but what you explain does seem like it could use some tweaking so players that use directional shield can pick which end to focus their shields to.
