  1. thats what im hoping but there has been other games (WoW is the only one that comes to mind atm) where it would not remove you from the other after accepting one. heres hoping it does though.
  2. i do have 1 concern regarding this, say i Q for both GSF and WZ and my gsf Q pops, i go into the match and about half way through my WZ Q pops, if i accept it than i am gimping my team till someone else joins. or if im in a WZ and GSF Q pops if i accept same thing. my question is if we accept one will we still be Q'd for the other or will it remove us after accepting the first Q?
  3. my first was when i was roughly 5 years of age my dad got me F-22 Interceptor for the Sega Genesis. ever since then i had the itch.
  4. just keep flying, just keep flying, just keep flying, flying, flying haha
  5. yea weve beaten this subject to death. i would also like to take this opportunity to thank Eric Musco, a year ago when i quit this game one of the reasons was that i could not express my opinions with any kind of passion or the thread would get closed or my posted deleted or my forum account suspended. so thank you Eric Musco for not closing this thread and letting us talk out our differences. unlike the former forum moderators.
  6. replies in red, again this is my opinion and while i do understand and respect yours i dont believe your right.
  7. that was one instance and maybe it wasnt the best example but there are plenty more in this thread of you quoting someone and twisting there words/meanings to strengthen yours.
  8. no you didnt understand, i flat out said you twisted words to support your claims, i also said how the description lead me to my own opinion. your the one tying my interpretation to my calling you out on your passing off yours as facts. they were 2 different statements. but it also helped to point out that everyone has an opinion that may not be the same as yours. while we are on the subject how did you come up with your opinion that only the base stats should determine what a ship can or cannot do and that the abilities it has access to should not enter the equation at all? edit: and no it does not invalidate your opinion, but it does invalidate it as the devs intent which is something you said earlier.
  9. lol so because i dont feel i should have to explain how i reach my own opinion of something that means the "accusations" of you passing off your opinions as facts holds no weight? and you dont need to agree with these "accusations" everyone else can read the thread too and see you trying to pass off your opinions as facts. well ii guess ill give you a little insight on how i reached MY OPINION, i wasnt trying to put too fine a point on it but one SF is clearly weaker than t he other, which is how i reached that OPINION. and again i didnt pass that off as a fact or the devs intent, thats what your doing, stop projecting.
  10. hit something at it redid my last post
  11. im not gonna break down some formula so you can understand how i reached a different opinion than you lol
  12. i said that was MY belief im not trying to pass it off as the devs intent as you are with yours.
  13. i stopped reading here cause i already explained how maybe you should go back and read it again... and it wasnt relevant to your point, you said it states it cant, and it does not say that, i even copied the ingame description word for word in that post.
  14. that makes sense, i was upgrading one of my scouts with that to sneak up on them better and was wondering why it seemed to have little to no affect.
  15. 1. cosmetics unlocks legacy wide or unlocked in collections for account. 2. more cosmetics. 3. more game modes/maps. 4. more ships with unique models 5. class ships (not actual ships but ships that use the models). i.e. agent gets agent ship, sage gets sage ship ext.
  16. it happens, i did the same thing yesterday, the harm no foul lol
  17. i think you need to look up the word irony, it would be irony if i was saying i knew what the devs intended. im not the one crying over and over that the ships base stats determine what it can do. im not the one saying what scouts shouldnt be able to do. and no it was nitpicky, that question was rhetorical.
  18. thats your opinion. and its totally asinine to twist words to suit their argument and pretend they know what the devs intended. and thats my opinion. and was it not "nitpicky" of you to... pick out a half sentence from my comment and leave out the part pertaining to it that they have been twisting ppls words this whole time?
  19. it says May Not, does not say Can't. all throughout this thread youve been repeating yourself over and over just rewording it and twisting ppls words/meanings and now your twisting the words of the ingame description. "When the Corelia StarDrive appeared on the verge of losing its military contract, the company refocused on a new scout model-one that would trade away sensor and communications range along with specialized sensor tech in return for more powerful laser cannons, mid-range missiles and stronger defenses across the board. The result is the Flashfire, combining other scouts' speed with deadly offensive capabilities. A Flashfire may not compete head-on against a strike fighter, but its maneuverability may be the edge a skilled pilot needs." the line that says may not (not cant) leads me to believe it can easily against a star guard (or empire version) but might not want to against a pike (or empire version) which means maybe you have the wrong impressions of what the ships should be capable of doing and how it is determined. the lines i underlined say plain as day its stronger than a normal scout but its senors are crap in comparison, maybe they can nerf the sensor more or give them another draw back idk, im not gonna pretend i know how the ships should be balanced.
  20. climb down off your high horse. you may take what im saying with attitude (and some of it is meant to be atleast for some) but keep in mind you cant convey emotion in text very well so. again i said i miss understood the shield bleed through part of it and didnt realize it was a debuff and idk whos math is correct but someone else came out with 28% hit chance for a SF vs scout with distortion up. and you guys also seem to be avoiding the point that scouts are supposed to be small, fast, hard to hit ships. with all the QQ about it i think they are living up to it, maybe a little to well idk thats for a dev to decide. imo i dont think so. also you and others keep stating things like it makes them "invulnerable" and/or "invincible" it doesnt its pretty obvious when a scout pops it cause you can see the effect and i have gotten a lock with ion missles or w/e with my pike then while they were trying to run away a lock with proton, first one they avoided but having used barrel rolled and having power to engines i stayed with them long enough to get a second proton lock and finished them off.
  21. 1) ok i misunderstood the shield bleedthrough i thought that increases or ships resistance to it. 2) that wasnt math actually i was copying what the abilities said and 121-106 =15 not 5 and i dont think it is a straight +% to you total i think it increases what you already have by that % again i could be wrong but this is how it works in most games. andd a striker isnt supposed to negate ALL of the scouts evasion, the scouts are supposed to bee small Evasive ships. 3) you keep going back to that same argument that base stats decide a ships role. ok so if they made the scouts base evasion 106% you woulnt have a problem with it? doubtful. 1) not as good but can if they want and i have seem some do it 2) i thought thats what distortion field does? hmm 3) yes they do all have cd's so you cant keep them up, if they were active all the time they would be passive abilities. 4) ok? whats the point just stating the obvious? 5) well when looking at the Sting i can see it has double the evasion of thee Quell so that tells me its an evasive ship, the Quell has 1450 HP and 14% dmg reduction and the sting has 1064 HP and 9% dmg reduction telling me the sting cant take a hit as well as the quell. its all in your ship stats if you would like to take a look, but they cant give scouts a base evasion all that high cause that would make it imbalanced and make it not fun for anyone that has to fight one. 4) what? so what you saying is because i am able to shred right through a GS without distortion field is that they shouldnt be that evasive then because there base stats arent that of an evasive ship? 5) while your argument is to avoid details that dont suit it. im sure lots of things for all the ships still need balancing no pvp game is ever 100% balanced and to believe so would make you naive. and i dont think your using logic, i pointed out they each have there own ability i never said it would only be OP if they could use each others. granted i miss understood part of the SF's and thought it to be a buff and not a debuff but that doesnt change the fact i never said anything like that, but if you need to twist words now to "win" your argument then so be it, the devs arent as naive as you probly think they are and they will know what needs to be buffed/nerfed.
  22. ill agree that maybe the burst dps needs to be looked at, but the scouts are supposed to be fast, evasive ships that are small and hard to hit. Solo SF's only getting 30% chance to hit them with blasters seems about right, they also have missles which in the pike have a big arc and fast lock on time. now this is just an assumption on my part but i dont think its far fetched, if they were to give all scouts a base evasion that would accomplish what distortion does it would be op, so they put it into an active ability so there would still be a window of opportunity for them to get crapped on. again just an assumption on my part but atleast to me it makes sense. but it does not mean i like it, i for one think they should have a base evasion that makes them annoying and hard to hit, maybe not so much so but atleast enough so they would seem like a small hard to hit ship but not so much so that they cant be killed. as for SF's never being able to kill you i call BS, i play all 4 of my ships on both my empire and republic toons and have killed pilots in all ships of varying skill levels. and i have been killed by pilots in all ships of varying skill levels.
  23. this is a game about TEAM play, you dont HAVE to have all that stuff to take out a scout with evasion which has already been proven in this thread, but it does make it easier. the evasion they get does NOT make them invincible.
  24. you can look on the last page and see how much accuracy SF's can get over a scouts evasion. arbitrarily throwing out numbers is not helping your argument at all. and that buff only last 6 seconds apposed to the SF's ability which reduces dmg taken for 19 seconds. and there are also ways of debuffing the evasion which you continue to avoid because... it doesnt suit your argument.
  25. first off guides are a crutch for bad players that dont have a clue. fly your ships and pick which components suit your play style. most of the time i keep one of my scouts with quick-charge incase there are strike fighters with half a brain using ion, other than that i go with distortion field. so atleast i dont always use distortion field and im sure im not the only one playing gsf that came to this conclusion.
