  1. My point still remains. Your utility is too powerful. To argue against is simply foolish and you've fallen in love with your class and enjoy the ease to put up big numbers. And last I checked, Sorc healers are more of a ***** to take down than dps, so yes, I made a post about Sorcs as the title of the thread described.
  2. 500 expertise is the soft cap for dps. For healers it may be a bit higher. I'm a healer with 500 expertise and I find it fits me just fine.
  3. What you aren't realizing is that sorcs/sages are not bound like gospel to what the other healers/dps have to abide by. I'm an IA Medic, and the moment I get focused I have to LoS if I don't have guard on me. This usually means I have popped my shield probe. Sorcs/Sages? Yeah, they can LoS if they want but they can hang out longer in the fray because they have a sprint that can get them to the warzone health boost or LoS at the last moment. As the example you provided, all a sorc has to do is have their short CDs up and it's EZ mode. Regardless what the proponents claim, Sorcs/Sages have a low skillcap. I wouldn't call it facerolling, but it IS low. So, you get charged by melee, you have so many options, it makes me sad when I look at my IA. CC? KB? Snare? Bubble? Sprint? I'm not an advocate for nerfing Sorcs, I AM AND ADVOCATE FOR OTHER CLASSES HAVING MORE UTILITY. Two examples to request this: I was at a pvp event on my server. All the high-end pvpers were there. All the names you see in WZs and think to yourself..."yes, this will be a good game." ------- I saw 1 IA Medic (me), 2 snipers, and 1 scrapper. The rest were force users or BHs. There were at one point over 50 people there. The other example is -- why the hell can't I put my ****** "moderate" shield on other people? It makes no sense. IA medics are known to be weaker in both pvp and pve, and it's things like this that makes us weak. TD:LR Sorcs/sages don't need nerfs - the rest of us need more utility.
  4. I find it funny that in many WZs, all these sorcs, had they the same sentiment as the OP, would just start apologizing to themselves. Yes, there are that many. Yesterday our server Swiftsure had a pvp event in Outlaw's Den. On both the Repub and Imp side out of at least 40 plyers, there was 1 OP medic, (me) , 1 gunslinger, and 2 snipers. Over representation and OP hybrid specs with so many 'pro' abilities WILL be nerfed, adjusted, w/e you want to call it. You call it whining, I call it balance.
  5. My record so far with mostly BM and Champ gear in a Voidstar is 660k. And it wasn't a premade farm-fest, it was a pug WZ. We just beat them badly -- and yes, I was free-casting for most of the fight with some harassment thrown my way every so often. Typically I get 400k-ish with Huttball being the most difficult to get 300k +.
  6. Uses I've found for it -- Removing dots so that your escape doesn't break. Removing snares/roots with a (very) minor run buff (talented) when you're running the ball in HB and are close to the endzone. Wish it lasted maybe 5 seconds cause as stated, railshot does really *********** hurt, but 3 seconds is not much of a window to anticipate it successfully.
  7. r66 valor OP Medic here. Full Champ / Battlemstr gear. You're going to want to kick your cat sometimes with the way you get treated in Huttball, but overall I've yet to roll an alt.
  8. Fix it. It's overwhelmingly agreed by the community that IA / Smug's 31 point talent is lackluster and this talent is not working thereby weakening an already underrepresented class. For the love of crumb-cake, fix it.
  9. I have to agree with most of what the OP stated. WoW's skill cap is not the best, but it's THE benchmark nowadays, whether you care to admit it or not. I wish it wasn't but when the MMO community made its decision to leave EQ in the dust and flock to that game, the rest is history. One glaring problem is the fact that SWTOR has auto-facing. Why the hell this was even considered is beyond me. Simply press your buttons and the game does the rest for you. This is a testimony of how BW/EA want to attract as many as they can to fatten their bottomline, hardcore PvPers be damned. In terms of cooldowns this in and of itself is a flawed mechanic. I've never been a fan of the idea of multi-minute cooldowns, and considering SWTOR is a 'nextgen' MMO I expected to see something game changing not gaming same-ing. I won't bore you with what I feel is best instead, SWTOR is what it is. My thoughts can be summed up simply as this -- SWTOR made a decision to play it safe. They made PvP to appease not redefine. What's the point? What's the point to run WZs over and over again? What's the point to group with your guild? Where's the satisfaction when your faction does well? It all rings hollow. PvP's essence, and what makes it so fun is the challenge, camaraderie, and the advancement of your faction/guild/character -- in that order. Personal gain SHOULD be merely a welcomed side effect, not the primary reason. Finally, the greatest trick Devs have played on PvPers is the belief that gear is the major motivational factor and the reason one should Q up. Yes, you can PvP to PvP, get those wins and big numbers, but at the end of the day your left with only one option, do it again for that last piece you need. Ok kids, now it's time to bring other MMOs that had PvP that I have yet to see replicated: Shadowbane - Yes it was click to move, yes it had balancing issues here and there, and yes it had barely any PvE, but it had the best guild vs. guild PvP I've ever seen. Your guild was who you are not your gear, not your achievements, and not your mount / vanity pets. Your reputation was made on the battlefield through teamwork. Tight knit groups could destroy zergs, and this is what I remember as exhilaration. UO - Hi, my name is danger, have we met? Going outside alone is not recommended. Asheron's Call - The newb zone was so much fun I didn't want to do anything put shoot people with arrows and pick them up again for hours. Twtich PvP was something to marvel. EQ Rallos Zek - I remember when night time made venturing out down right pulse pounding. I hated those with the fungi tunic, but I still look on EQ PvP fondly. It still makes me smile when I remember killing someone, and they began to get naked (putting their gear in their bags so you couldn't loot it) before they were going to die. EQ was primarily a PvE game, but that didn't stop SOE from rolling out servers that had some game altering rules. Rallos Zek was a 1 piece of gear lootable server if you killed someone. Sullon Zek had 3 factions, SWTOR could pull a rabbit out of its hat if it made a ballzy move and gave BH / OP / Smugs / Troopers the ability to choose to be a separate faction on one server. I guarantee that server will not have population problems if they executed it correctly. AoC had some good moments as well, but not nearly as many because of it's fleeting presence as a MMO with any kind of staying power. Wrap it up Boo -> PvP will always be my one true love even when I get grey hair. I still keep in touch with those I PvPed with in Shadowbane, a game released in 1998. Memories from how we fought still stand the test of time. Maybe I'm a hopeless nostalgic whore, so be it, but memories being made in SWTOR are similar to what I felt after going to see Transformers 3 or Spider Man 3. I know I was there, but why can't I remember any moments that compel me to want to go and watch, in this case, play it again?
  10. 2004 called buddy and the lack of competition back then is so stark I'm wondering how you manage to chew gum and walk at the same time.
  11. If you neglect the pvp centric player base, which are chomping at the bit for a new dynamic pvp MMO, you will fall into mediocrity. So go ahead, throw PvP on the back-burner, and watch your numbered dwindle. SWTOR spent over 250 million on this game and this is the pvp we get? Nothing about it is dynamic, nothing about it is challenging for a solo player OR a guild, it was an afterthought from day one. The funny thing is all you PvE whores who love all the attention you get cost the game devs a ******** more time and resources to appease, whereas PvPers can be happy with barely any new content for many months if the game just took the time to make it fun / challenging, non-repetitive, and grindless. The greatest trick MMO Devs have played on PvPers is making them believe gear has the majority of purpose for PvP.
  12. Same. My rank for WZs. 1. Hball 2. Alderaan 3. VoidS Even as a Medic OP, I still manage to do well albeit I avoid the above walkways like the plague.

    PVP Balance

Worthless thread is worthless. On behalf of the gaming community who bothers to read this drivel, go play in traffic -- Stop playing a game that's clearly beyond your means. Should you have any problems understanding these words, I will gladly use smaller words with less syllables to ease the comprehension process.

    Sorcerer Nerf....

I'm an IA Medic, full heal spec, and I can get 400+ healing and 100k + dmg easily in ANY WZ, including Huttball, although Huttball is considerably more difficult to achieve this. I don't know what you're talking about 'but nothing more.' Also, AOE dmg hurts in this game, even more so if you're dumb enough to stand in it for the full duration.
  15. It's the fact that KolInf has a cast time of, for me, 1.3 and crit heals for over 4k unbuffed. It's the closest thing we have to an Oh ****! heal. It may not be the most efficient, but to save a tank I'll gladly use it, and I use it occasionally in PvP when I get locked out of Inj. KP is great, but the heals are weak, I'm talking 2.5k crits.
  16. First, in WZs there are no overheals. I can't sit there and heal myself to get the medals. IAs are like paly heals with hots. Great quick single target heals with the ability to spread the love a bit. I said we could use some tweaks, which sounds a bit like what you and everyone else wants. How the hell you guys do NM is beyond me. How about we get the devs to fix the buggy *** mechanics of many of the fight then looks at the classes?
  17. Only ever played an OP Medic since beta. The guild I'm in just cleared normal EV. I'm up to rank 55 valor. I see how Sorcs can beast mode heal, mercs seem to be good as well. IAs may have a tougher time but I find the challenge *********** enjoyable. Yes I can almost heal 500k in a WZ, EV normal was a joke, but I've never at any point felt carried. Perhaps my sentiment will change in HM OPs but right now the skillcap for IAs is high and that I don't mind. I'm not gonna sit here and say we couldn't use some love. A few tweaks here and there is fine. So go and roll your FotM and chase the rainbow. I'll stay an IA Medic and do just fine with 8 - 9 medals per WZ and enjoy the challenge of HMs. I can KoltoInj and SP a target all day with barely a loss in energy. The main thing mentioned before I support is giving our rather crappy shield to other players. Mobile DiagScan and a minor situational buff to KInf would be more than enough. Not sure what's with all the negativity. IAs are not THAT bad.
  18. Hit two birds with one stone -- Have KInfusion when used immediately after DiagScan give the healing effect without using TA or energy, or put up a small absorb shield, or put a stacking minor hot, etc. Essentially make using 2 of our abilities worthy of the gcd plus the cost. Hell, you could even replace the DiagScan talent of refunding energy with anything mentioned above.
  19. An unbiased opinion -- Op Medics are in a good place right now. The only exception really is Huttball where there is a glaring lack of utility. The pinball action gets tiresome. I play a near full Champ medic specced full heals. Often I average 8-10 medals per game with both bad and good teams. I'm almost 53 valor rank as well. The juking of interrupts is rather easy to pull off tbh. Doesn't always work but it's def worth the effort. Focused Ops go down as they should, no surprise there. Depending on certain factors I can survive much longer with good gameplay. Los, full hots rolling, dispel debuffs, spam KP when less than 30% with shield buff to get back in the fight, CC, at the very least rely on your teammates for some help. Medic Ops are fun, so much fun in fact that I've yet to roll an alt.
  20. Ok I'll discuss. I'm a IA Medic, I get rocked by Concealment. I'm 50 with my 2 set Champ and various offset champ/cent pieces. Do I come to the boards ************ about this? Hell no, because I know what IA burst is capable of and I know how to counter them. Discuss that. You get caught in a stun with no break and you expect them to hit you like a wet noodle? *** is wrong with you and others like you. Run around alone, acting like a hero, and getting *** gibbed is what your piss-poor moaning sounds like. Discuss that. How about what your stats are like? What are you - in **** gear, with **** skills, acting all high and mighty that you called a class out who's a one trick bursting pony? Discuss that. But I get it, no I really do, you're not even checking the thread you created, you're back in the game getting owned because you refuse to adapt. You'd much rather EA/Bio dumb this game down more so than it is already to cater to your inferior ability to push buttons in a logical manner. Another new MMO, another chump. Get effed scrub.
