  1. I have been down this road. It doesn't help. They just hit you with the standard 'we are looking into it'.
  2. Difference there is, the indie devs don't have mountains of bureaucracy to deal with. I have worked for companies like this - even a seemingly small task will take months to push through, if ever.
  3. Nobody should have to do any of this. The devs just need to get it patched and done before they lose more subs. You would think that would motivate them to get to it faster.... you would think.....
  4. Grats, but that's not what this thread is about. It's about people using the new Intel 12th generation architecture, and the incompatibility with the game.
  5. There was a time, a long time ago, when both Bioware and EA were a respectable, customer-service oriented company... but those days have long passed. EA just doesn't give a s**t about their customers, plain and simple. When I tried doing the support chat with EA about it, I got a person who basically just kept saying 'read the information on the support forum', after I explained I had been through all of that already, and nothing work, continued to argue with me that the information I need is on the support forum. Truly the worst customer service out there.
  6. Isn't it just amazing how such a big company/companies can fumble the ball so hard on this? Really annoying to say the least. Why alienate a growing number of players this way? I really wanted to play this game for my holiday time off. RIP.
  7. I am over it. So much wasted time between companies (Asus, Intel, EA, etc) trying to find a solution for this. It just shows how little they care about their customer base. This game will die soon enough anyways, as it already has been for a while now. Good riddance, uninstalled, unsubscribed.
  8. Hello - it's been nearly a month since this post. This issue will only continue to grow as more and more people upgrade their PC's, thus resulting in more canceled subscriptions. I hope you will make this issue of higher importance and fix it. I was really hoping to enjoy my xmas vacation playing this game. Doesn't seem that I will be able to.
  9. I have an Asus ROG MAXIMUS Z690 EXTREME GLACIAL, and they just released a new BIOS that includes 'Support Legacy Game Compatibility Mode to fix DRM (Digital Rights Management) issue'. I enabled it in BIOS, then activated it in Windows 11 (scroll lock key), and still this game will not launch. Asus has been super good with communicating with me, and they are looking into it further. Honestly, the blame should be on EA and their DRM, not Asus, but Asus has been really helpful so far. I will post updates if anything changes.
  10. The DRM fix isn't disabling cores, my dude. It WILL do something, and that is on a hardware level allow the new 12th gen to be recognized by DRM....
  11. Hello - would really appreciate an update for this: https://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=998523 Thank you
  12. If you take anything from World of Warcraft (which you have taken a lot), take this: 1. Don't release patches until they have been thoroughly tested. 2. LISTEN to player feedback from that testing. The whole point of having a test server is to have people play on, and give feedback from. If you don't take their feedback to heart, you are wasting valuable resources. 3. Do not rush content out for the sake of getting it out. It is quite clear this patch was rushed. I would rather wait an extra week or two and have a smooth experience with that patch. 4. Quality comes first. Blizzard never releases a game unless they are confident it meets their quality standards. Overall, SWTOR is a very high quality game, but there are also a lot of parts that don't reflect that quality. Consistent quality across all facets of the game are required to maintain a great game experience. I have not, and will not jump the bandwagon of "Oh I better cancel my account because a couple of fumbles". I have faith that BioWare will right their wrongs. I have patience, but I am also smart enough to know when to walk away when I see a game company not caring about their userbase. Get it together, BioWare.
