  1. While I totally appreciate that you love this game, your decision to throw money at it isn't the decision of a lot of unhappy SWTOR veterans. A lot of us love the game, but are simply frustrated at the fact that there is only a real reason to log in once a month for the amazing new chapters. No one is denying that this new KotFE story is incredibly well-done. It's amazing! I love logging in every month to play the new chapter on my main toons. However, there are quite a few of us that feel like the decision to force players to start over (and over and over, etc.) and do everything we've been doing for the past 5 years is pretty lame. I know, I know... "It's optional! No one's forcing you to do anything!" Right? Well, that's not exactly true. People play this game for a variety of reasons. Some like to PvP. Some love to grind alts. Others like getting together with guildies and doing Ops. Still others play simply because there aren't any other Star Wars MMOs out there. But, whatever your reason for playing, you do it because you want to have fun. You want to be able to log in and enjoy the time you spend here. That's just not going to happen for a huge portion of the current playerbase with this new "Event". I personally feel like the spirit behind the "Event" is cool, but the execution is extremely flawed. Veterans who've been here since closed beta have played every story and seen every cutscene multiple times. I personally have 23 characters on one server. I'll even admit to being an alt-a-holic at times. But I don't want to slog through the exact same mission and flashpoint and warzone and crew skills and starfighter map and Heroic and Chapter again another eight times. But that's what we're being told to do if we want a new "event". What happens next? "Next event: Be sure to log onto the GTN for the next 4 weeks! The character who stays there for the full 4 weeks gets a new title and an old suit of terrible-looking armor we've recolored to give the appearance of New-ness!" Nope. Not happy at all.
  2. This. So much This. I am seriously so pissed off right now. I bought a hypercrate for chances at stuff in THIS pack, not bull***t that's already on the GTN for 100 credits. I read elsewhere how angry people were about this, but thought, "oh, they're just blowing it out of proportion. It's not really that bad" but it's worse. I never honestly thought I'd get anything good like the saber, but I thought I'd at least get stuff from the Anarchist pack. Out of the 30 crates I bought, I got 4 offhand vibroswords and an Exiled Jedi Upper Armor chest. EVERYTHING else was effing Chance Cubes! I'm seriously angry about this crap!
  3. I'll admit, starting out is very intimidating. I couldn't stand GSF at first. But now, I just unlocked my Flashfire scout ship and it's starting to get really fun. If you're not having fun yet, keep with it. Just don't get discouraged when you die. A LOT! You'll eventually be the one doing the killing.
  4. Obviously, you've never played a cloaking class, so your opinion on how unfair they are is irrelevant. I play cloaking classes AND a class with Stealth Scan, and have a decent knowledge on how to play them (meaning: I suck, but I'm not terrible). As my Scoundrel, I must use every trick I have in order to pull off an escape (but is, honestly, the most fun because of that fact). As a Vanguard, it's pretty simple to pull cloakers out of stealth with DoTs or Stealth Scan (too easy, in fact). Now with a tanking cloaker (Shadow/Assassin), I agree it's pretty ridiculously easy to do a ton of damage, tank, then get out of combat. But only because they're a tiny bit overpowered at the moment. My Assassin is really dang fun but I know that it's because I'm OP.
  5. If two players stood together with that title, would they be "Testies"? Heh...
