  1. Anyone still playing? I need to relive some old memories
  2. Up until to a few days ago, I had been using Corso as my "companion to go to" for any situation. He had never let me down, which can't be said about my other companions who were now collecting dust on my ship. I thought he was the best! That's until I ran into a little con-artist by the name of Guss Tuno. From the start, I was very intrigued in the storyline that came along with him. His bumbling antics entertained me time and time again. His dialogue never failed to make me laugh. I specifically enjoy his "battle cry"... So, here's to you, Guss Tuno. I'm glad I didn't shoot you...
  3. What high horse would that be? Are you referring to my sarcastic remark about the fan boys wanting to play as droids, or the jab I made toward the developers? I was in no way declaring my comment as the ultimate answer as to why there are cyborgs in the game. It was merely my opinion, which I still stand by. I posted in this thread because I wanted to share my thoughts and leave it open for discussion, not have someone essentially tell me to shut up and not speak my mind. And for your information, I have never been on a horse... ...anyways, I wasn't denying the existence of cyborgs in the Star Wars canon. I just think it's ridiculous to have them as a playable species. They're still human, only with cybernetics attached to them in some form. It would be like classifying every person in the world that has lost a limb and has an implant as a different species. I like this game, but it's pretty obvious that BioWare was on a one-track mind when making the game, which was to create an epic experience through storytelling. So, why wouldn't it make sense for them, as a business, to cut corners and skip on things that were considered trivial, especially if they can add or improve them later with a patch or expansion. That just equals more money for them, which I'm sure I will hand over with no hesitation. Why not just add them to an existing slider like the "Scar" slider and make them cosmetic. Or even better, design a system where you can purchase cybernetics and have them implanted like it was done in Star Wars Galaxies...but, then again, that would require time and resources, and possibly pushing other projects or ideas back. So, there you go...lazy game design, to a certain extent.
  4. Negative, mah friend...I was a smuggler, still am in TOR I remember you collecting a few bounty's on Wolf's head back in SWG, though haha
  5. Mainly to appease the fan boys that wanted to play as droids...I just see this as lazy game design :\
  6. Wolfram here....although that was taken on the server I'm playing on, so it's Wolfrum now ....I swear, when I get my hands on the person who took "Wolfram"...I'll...I'll probably do nothing. Anyways, I'm playing on Ajunta Pall. Trying to set up the old Omega Syndicate there, if anyone's interested.
  7. I have yet to see any RP on Ajunta Pall, which is an RP-PvP server :\ There is, however, a lot of insults and banter hurled in General Chat towards other players that don't follow the "RP-naming guidelines", although there isn't any RP going on. I don't know...The more I progress through this game, the more I believe SWTOR is not RP-friendly: 8 "unique" class storylines that all players must follow, companions and gear with minimal customization, the Legacy system which gives ALL your characters on the same server the same surname (very lame), no chat bubbles or some other way to discern chatter from someone standing right in front of you, etc... I know the game has been officially out for only 2 days, but c'mon...it's been in development for how long? And i'm sure all this has been pointed out numerous times before by the community, but did the devs care to take any of those suggestions into consideration? Obviously not, since they're not in game. Now I'm just ranting...sorry. Anyways, I just really hope all this and much more gets added into the game later on. I don't consider myself a hardcore RP'er, but I do love to immerse myself in the world I'm playing in, and little things like the ones listed above break that immersion.
  8. I sure hope they intend on finishing those up. It was an update I always looked forward to.
