  1. I like it in theory. Rather or not it would work is another thing all together. To avoid to many people on screen at once (Ala Ilum slideshows back in the day before WZ credit for the Ilum daily) you'd just need a bunch of objectives spread throughout so it's not just one large deathmatch in the middle of the map. I personally think it could be done and could be fun if handled correctly. -Retsah
  2. Soa definitely sucks for Melee and I thought it was as bad as it gets... Until HM 16 Karraga. Ugh. For Soa I handled 3rd phase by getting on mindtrap and counting on the tank to call out about 5 secs or so early when shield is going down then I would head that way and let the range that can swivel from one to the other without issue finish off the mindtraps. Worked pretty well for me. As far as the balls in melee range.... Well... Due to the TIGHT enrage timer we usually just ate them and counted on our amazing healers to keep us up. I have 3 cooldowns that I used as needed to keep me up throughout the shield down burn phases. BTW It's good to see others with the "No Force Leap" issue too. I thought I was going insane for a while with that one. The bad thing about pushing for world firsts is that sometimes you just don't know if it's a bug or a mechanic that just hasn't been figured out yet hehehehe Overall I really love my class but yea.... definitely been times I wished I were ranged! -Retsah
  3. Grats guys! Definitely one of the more gratifying kills once you get it down.
  4. Anyone see any claims of other guilds that have downed Soa 16 HM or NM yet? Just curious if I missed it. -Retsah
  5. NICE Vid guys! And screw the haters, being an old man myself, I loved the music choice! ahahahahah Grats again on the kill. -Retsah
  6. Your assumption is not correct about Condemned doing any of the Operation content in Beta. As for the rest.... Condemned tries to stray away from drama so we have no need to comment on it. We just state the facts as we see them. I appologize if the 2 posts we have in the entire SWTOR forums about our progress have offended you in some way however there are many who are interested in guild progress in thie game.
  7. How we managed to one shot it for the night after struggling the other night is beyond me but yay! http://xtremedfw.com/xdfwpics/albums/userpics/10003/Soa16HM-2.jpg http://xtremedfw.com/xdfwpics/albums/userpics/10003/Soa16HM.jpg And the sweet new ride Drew got from the kill! http://xtremedfw.com/xdfwpics/albums/userpics/10003/Soa16HM-Mount.jpg -Retsah
  8. There's quite a few in Condemned that has that mount now. Big ole' Caddy! hahahah
  9. Wiping on Gharj and then sitting outside the instance waiting for one more death to randomly come for everyone before re-entering is always fun. Just respawning after a wipe in general sucks. It's gotten to the point that every time we do, we hold our breath that we can re-enter the instance without 1) Not having to reset and therefore re-clear all the trash (Especially leading up to Gharj... UGH!) or 2) The instance bugging out completely like it did for us last night on the Ancient Pylons in Nightmare mode. We couldn't get it to reset at all and had to call it. -Retsah
  10. Ugh. I'm starting to have trouble sleeping because of all this! We got him to 0% (5k health) last night. As you can imagine shiat hit the fan when he didn't fall I remember when we first started learning all the aspects of the encounter. All the comments were so positive about the mechanics, etc. Now I freaking hate this fight with a passion! hahahaha
  11. Operations. As in SWTOR's version of Raids.
  12. This is based upon my personal experience. I've been level 50 since December 16th and was in the full Beta (Not weekend) for quite a while before that and played Sentinel exclusively so I've put in a LOT of hours with the class. Please don't take this as bragging. Just stating the facts. Sentinels are indeed a little weak until they get Doc, their healer companion. From that point on you're a non-stop killing maching. So many people try it out and get frustrated by about 30 max. Doing Illum? Going to assume you mean lvl 50 mobs for like the dailies etc? I rip through them like butter. NO issued what-so-ever. In PvP I'm never below top 3-4 in damage. Usually top 2 and very seldom die. The trick is to learn when to use defensive cooldowns, pop stealth when you know it's a losing fight, or pop you're GbtF when you're below about 15% health and are in danger of losing a close fight. Melee is definitely usually at a slight disadvantage in this game but it's nothing that can't be overcome with smart play. In PvE, I'm in one of the top rated guilds with tons of world firsts already under our belts (Again, not bragging just giving some info so you know I'm not just making stuff up here) and I have been a mainstay / must have for all of our raids. The Sentinel buffs play a HUGE role in our progress although I will say that again, being Melee can put you at a bit of a disadvantage at times so you've just got to play smart. Hope this helps, Retsah
  13. Nice work guys! Yea it seems a lot of these fights aren't very melee friendly but I'm used to that by now
  14. Had the exact same problem with both the normal and hard mode version of the quest in the past few weeks. However, other members that were in our raid completed them without issue. I abandoned and picked them back up again last night but probably won't know if that resolved it until next lockout.
