  1. This isn't even remotely true.
  2. I agree, the amount of space these sets take up in the cargo hold is ridiculous. It is most likely an oversight on Bioware's part that these sets were not added to the collection system.
  3. To be honest the only SWTOR players I know in real life are females, including myself. Anyway I play as a female in any game I can, having a female lead character is so rare in games, it's nice to play as someone you can relate too. I was a little disappointed when Revan turned out to be a male in the Star Wars cannon. They should have just left Revan without any sort of identity, to me Revan will always be the female character I played as in KOTOR. Anyway, I would never outright tell someone my gender in online games, but obviously I can't avoid it if I have to use voice chat. In which case everyone normally doesn't act too surprised and just accepts it, for the most part. Normally is someone asks, and I know them well enough, I will just tell them. Normally people aren't too surprised either, maybe because I don't act the way male players tend to act? It's almost as if there was a subconscious understanding between players, outside of the gender of your character. I have a friend of mine who always announces to everyone she is a female, on every game she plays. The servers turn into an uproar. "HAI GUIZE I'M A GAMER GUURL!" She just blatantly puts that out there randomly, and I am left face-palming.
  4. Unfortunately the social point system doesn't reward players for actually doing group activities, playing with other players, and being social. But instead selectively rewards players for grinding. You try finding players to go through every line of dialog with you while you are leveling. Good luck in advance.
  5. Because grinding flashpoints is currently the only viable way to gain social points. Most later flashpoints only give 10-20 social points if you are lucky, Black Talon/Esseles gives about 100+ social point per run. (providing you are with 4 people) Other flashpoints only have a couple lines of dialog, unless Bioware DRASTICALLY increases the amount of social points you get from these flashpoints, people will keep doing this. Unless you went through the entire game with someone else the chances are your social level is extremely low, having grouped with players frequently my social level was about 200 points from reaching social II by the time I was level 50. See the problem? Yea.... Also only offering social points ONCE for any given quest would eventually make it IMPOSSIBLE to gain any social points. Not a very good idea.
  6. Because Huttball is serious business right? It's not like players are using duplication exploit, calm down. What really irks me is that I've seen people go out of their way to report these players (people refraining from even trying to attack them, to give them just cause for reporting them), use an AoE knock back and be done with it, threatening to report players for every little thing doesn't help the community.
  7. Make sure you are only reporting the players who are blatantly abusing it, and not just blindly reporting people. One time near the beginning of a match I jumped on the ball dispenser (it seemed like a good location to cast my AOE attacks from), I was probably only up there for no more than 30 seconds, until the fighting moved on. But it didn't take long for the enemy team to start raging at me, calling me an exploiter and threatening to report me, I was completely dumbfounded, to say the least. Honestly how the hell was I supposed to know that was an exploit? To me it just looks like a part of the environment, I had no idea I was exploiting, and there was no indication I had an unfair advantage until people had already started reporting me. (Great sportsmanship ) More importantly, how is this NOT patched yet? An exploit which takes absolutely no effort to preform, and is so easy that people are doing it accidentally. Here is a fix: put an invisible wall around the ball dispenser to prevent people from jumping on it. Bam problem solved.
  8. I have the same problem, people won't let me do Hard Mode flashpoints because I don't have decent gear, but I need to do the flashpoint in order to GET decent gear. :-/
  9. You obviously missed a LOT of quests, I was 45 by the time I got to Belsavis, and I skipped the entire Alderaan Bonus series. Go around the fleet, pick up PVP/Flashpoint dailys, and do Space missions every day. Also, pick up any quests/bonus series that you missed. If all else fails do PvP all day.
  10. Yep, I've done this a few times, yields a nice amount of bonus EXP.
  11. Unfortunately I do not have a computer of this quality to test the loading times, but i would love to know how much longer / faster a computer meeting minimum requirements would compare to mine. Regardless, a lot of players have been complaining of high load times, and I have a feeling internet speeds are the MOST prominent factor. Unlike most MMO games, SWTOR forces you to load almost everything in the area before letting you past the loading screen. This cuts down on pop-in, texture-less objects, etc. Other MMOs decrease their load time by letting players into areas which are not fully loaded, the effects of this are apparent, but a decent trade-off. Unless BW changes how loading is handled nothing short of getting a better internet connection will save my long loading times.
  12. I am incorrect how? Obviously loading online meta data is going to be taxing on your loading time if you have a slower internet connection. Information isn't just transferred magically. Sure, the game environment does have some bearing on load times, but with a half-way decent GPU it shouldn't take more than a few seconds to load the small potion of the planet you arrive at. Do you think I spend 50 seconds loading between a different area on Skyrim? Of course not.
  13. Loading screen times are directly affected by your internet speed, you could meet the minimum requirements for the game and still have 5 second loading screens. I have a very high end computer, I will spare everyone the details about the specs, but there isn't a game to this day which cannot be run on max settings. Unfortunately due to where I live, my internet options are extremely limited. My internet speed very slow, loadings screens take a great deal of time for me. At least try to know what your talking about before you say "HURR DURR GET A BETTER COMPUTER, YOURS SUCKS!"
  14. Also, very armor graphic in the game (apparently) has it's own orange quality equivalent.
  15. This happens sometimes when you switch between characters, unfortunately you cannot do any missions in the "fourth skill" and eventually it should go away. I've found the crew skill and companion UI to be very unstable and glitchy.
