  1. Source? Because in-game rupture is listed as a melee attack that deals an initial hit of unspecified damage (probably kinetic) and an additional dot over 6 seconds of internal damage. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y52/E-Licious/Screenshot_2012-01-27_08_35_06_421000.jpg Malice states that it increases the crit chance of your force attacks. Nowhere does it state that it affects melee attacks that deal internal damage. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y52/E-Licious/Screenshot_2012-01-27_08_54_15_897000.jpg Now could it? Sure, but nothing in the game would imply that it does, which is the source of the confusion. If you just read the game tips you would believe that malice does not affect rupture since rupture does not mention force attacks anywhere in it's description, and it actually lists itself as a melee attack. And just because it deals internal damage doesn't imply that it's a force attack. Damage type (kinetic, energy, internal, elemental) are independant of attack type (melee, ranged, force, tech). Force choke and smash are force attacks, yet they deal kinetic damage.
  2. That still doesn't answer my question. I'm not asking about the damage type, since that seems to be irrelevant. I'm asking about the attack type. Melee attacks can do yellow dmg but it is still a melee attack type. Malice specifically says it affect force attacks and rupture is listed as a melee attack. I'm guessing it does not affect the crit chance of rupture.
  3. Well being a Darth is kind of a big deal. They aren't going to give it to you at level 25. What's funny is that you actually get a more impressive title near the end of the story before you get Darth.
  4. No. Pretty sure it means that you can't be interrupted while ravaging. Knockbacks and stuns should still stop you though.
  5. Yes. I don't know about inqs but wars get the title at the end of the storyline. I am guessing inqs get it at the same time.
  6. Sweeping slash absolutely applies deadly sabers dot. I will turn on deadly sabers and jump in to a pack and start using sweeping slash. I will start seeing yellow numbers pop up and sweeping slash does white damage. How quickly or to whom it applies deadly sabers I do not know the mechanics of.
  7. So does Malice affect rupture or not? Rupture is listed as a melee attack and malice says it only affect force attacks.
  8. Thanks! I hope other bosses drop them too because I don't want to have to farm the twins for 8 months just to be properly geared.
  9. My broonmark has a bunch of columi tank gear and he's actually a pretty good tank now. Holds aggro pretty effectively and with him and a friend healing we duo heroic 4s with ease. He'll probably be one of your most geared companions once normal mode ops keep giving you sith warrior columi pieces.
  10. Even on NM mode, the hardest difficulty, the marauders only have 114k HP. You have 120 seconds to kill it so if you can't do 950 DPS without using zen/berserk, you're doing it wrong. Any decent marauder/sentinel specced for bleeds should be doing over 1k DPS with average gear. If not they need to look at their spec/rotation because it's not lack of zen/berserk that's making them fail.
  11. Take if off your bars for this fight. It's a DPS loss not using it, but it is not necessary to beat the encounter, even on NM difficulty. Just did it last night and I only have 2 rakata pieces mostly columi, and 2 PvP pieces, so my gear is good but not top tier. Oh, and I was still the first person to get their marauder down so even someone with less gear than me should have no trouble w/o using this buff.
  12. I have plenty of crit/surge enhancements from my old columi pieces, but like I said, I've already got way too much crit and not enough power. I want power/surge enhancements which I have none of.
  13. If rupture is a force ability instead of a melee ability then the in-game ability page is very misleading since it clearly lists rupture as "melee". Deadly Sabers is is listed as force though.
  14. Too bad high end gear favors accuracy and crit. All 5 set pieces of rakata have accuracy and rakata ear piece has accuracy too. Both of my columi implants also have accuracy. With 4 pieces of rakata gear I've got over 300 accuracy and over 500 crit but only around 100 power and 250ish surge. I don't think I've seen any power/surge enhancements that i could rip from columi gear either. I might have to look at the other classes columi vendors and see if they have any power/surge enhancements. Kind of lame that the game requires you take other classes armor pieces to properly gear up.
  15. How would this tell you if power has DR? All this would tell you is the coefficient of power to damage. You would have to remove several pieces of power gear and find the coefficient again. If that changes, then it has DR. But simply dividing the 2 numbers alone does not give you enough information.
  16. He's not talking about PvP at all. He just said Lethality is a good PvE spec which seems very likely however it would be very difficult to play without DoT/CD timer add-ons since you have to keep track of 2 DoTs and several CDs. Also waste TA on stimboost? Stimboost is so good, why wouldn't you have it up?
  17. You cannot refresh a stack of deadly sabers. If you cast deadly sabers while your old stack is still ticking it will apply a new stack of deadly sabers on your next melee ability. Also, I would not wait to use melee abilities to draw out the duration of deadly sabers. Using sub optimal force abilities in place of your high priority melee abilities is probably a DPS loss.
  18. You can't keep rupture up 100% of the time, nor would you want to. Clipping the dot makes you lose a lot of dmg and the talent that resets the CD on rupture has a 6 sec CD itself, which is the length of the rupture dot.
  19. I know the HM marauders have 108k HP so the NM ones probably have even more. 108k HP/30 seconds = 3600 DPS, so your guys are doing even more than that. What class/spec is pushing over 3600 DPS? There is a serious class discrepancy if marauders are around 1500 DPS and another class is over 3600.
  20. Nope. Sometimes it just says someone bought something. Sometimes it actually tells you what the item was.
  21. ^ Sure it will get fixed eventually. I'm certainly not holding my breath that it will be fixed anytime within the next few months and will spec out of it until it is fixed.
  22. Where does it say it's getting fixed? I didn't see any dev posts in the linked thread. Source?
  23. Pretty sure IA/BH keep in the top tier of regen during sustained DPS. I know at least OP does. Why? More energy = more DPS. The only time they would want to get into the lower tiers of regen is if they know there's going be a lull in DPS for a while (annihilation droid missile barrage) where they can get back to full during the downtime. This is great for them because they can dump their resource and get a nice boost in dmg and then regen it all. Like I said the more that ToT is reduced from 100%, the better other DPS classes will do compared to us since we need to be attacking to gain our resource and they get it all the time. Also, you can't say warriors are more efficient because we can generate half our resource bar with 1 skill because our resource bar is smaller in comparison. Pretty sure if you compare 12 rage worth of damage skills vs. 100 energy of a sniper or OP they will have done way more damage and used way more skills.
