  1. Boggles my mind, not causes me to unsub. But yes, continue to deflect all criticisms like a child, while simultaneously calling others as such. On the topic of the textures, like with most other issues, including the ones I previously mentioned, it is the response, or lack thereof, from the devs that is more frustrating than even the issues themselves.
  2. All of us "whiners" are the only reason we even have a forced response on this issue. I'll take childish complaining over blind adult obedience any day. The irony is that we're the ones helping to improve the game, and you're the ones allowing the status quo to remain. Between this, the ability delay, fundamental mechanics of the engine being laughably poor(if you're not too busy playing this shoddy game, read the very illustrative post on the uselessness of shields and damage mitigation). And while it's a bit off-topic, the lack of same sex relationships and absolutely no clue as to when and even if they will be implemented, continue to ruin the story for me and outright boggle my mind.
  3. Hey all. I'm a Vanguard tank with a DPS Shadow in a group, who's a rl friend. We are level 22 and did Athiss earlier today. I started getting the impression that my friend wasn't quite playing his job properly. As a newbie tank I am not yet familiar with the other classes and what they should be doing in long fights. I'm unsure of what spec he is, other than being DPS. When we were fighting the Athiss boss, he seemed to spend 90% of the time meleeing it with what looked like the early level melee attack that consumes Force power. I didn't notice him doing anything else as we were all trying to burn it down. I know that when I leveled Inquisitor to 10, I used more abilities than just that in my fights, which is what made me curious. I plan to bring it up with him the next time we play, but any advice you can give me before I do that would be appreciated. Thanks! Oh, also, is a Shadow able to adequately handle adds that come in during a boss fight? I know it can be frustrating on my Sentinel because we are, for the most part, a strictly melee class. But he was doing a poor job at fighting them during boss fights, most notably the Athiss beast fight. Again I'd like to bring this up with him, but it'll be easier to do so when I have some sort of idea of what his class is able to actually do. Thanks again!
  4. If you're having item durability issues while at the boss, and don't want to fight your way back to the medical droid, then back to the fight again - queue for a warzone, repair at the PvP vendor at the starting area, then exit back to the boss

    SGRA's

Well said. I got my female JK to 50, I'm stuck on the final class boss, but I'm very hesitant to start my next character because of what I can potentially miss out on by advancing in level before they add this stuff. It's got me feeling really meh, quite honestly. I only casually PvP as a sort of diversion, and I don't know anyone for doing high level flashpoints, it's primarily the experience of getting levels 1-50 that entice and propel me to play. To have something like this holding me back leaves me kinda scratching my head and wondering what the heck to do in the game.
  6. It's a good plan, but not for a Sentinel without Push, or any knockback abilities.
  7. I don't even want to Fleet Pass out, because it's such a chore getting through the area if I come back. Between the issue of hoods, the complete awfulness of the Knight story at a few certain parts, and this fight.. man, I just don't know anymore. I'm really enjoying my Trooper that I was playing with a buddy, but if the experience will be like the Knight's journey to 50, bleh.
  8. I can deal with the hoods, despite is being completely absurd from a combat perspective, (not to mention ridiculous that so many Jedi in the prequels wear robes like Luke, Ben, and even Owen did solely because they were on a friggin sandstorm planet.. but I digress), but what really frustrates me is that we cannot see our hair at all with a hood up. Why? How can this have ever been a good idea. Silliest thing in the game by far for me. I almost can't believe I've gotten to level 50 while putting up with this.
  9. Things seemed to better this time. The clones ran at me behind the pillar a little slower than before, giving me time to pick them off better. I got the Emp down to 15%, I was at above 50%, ran out to pop off a Dispatch.. and he did his instant move that threw me into a wall and killed me. I guess I'll get there eventually, but I really hope the other classes are more fun, and story much better, than Knight has been.
  10. Thank you for your replies, and for writing them without contempt for my apparent sucking. I move behind the pillars, which correctly stops them from casting on me. I let them then run to me and move into my melee range, at which point I am able to kill them in one attack. Yet by the time I one-hit kill the last clone, a good portion of my health has been taken away. It's like they were all able to run up to me, and damage me as I wait for the global cooldown of my Strike before hitting the next clone. For what it's worth, I'm a Combat Sentinel.
  11. @Sersly Were you a Sent, or Guardian? I've tried your strategy, and while my gear is relatively top-notch, and I can one-hit kill the clones, by the time I get rid of them, even with Ward up, I'm close to death.
  12. Yeah, you're doing it wrong. You need to trust him! That is all it takes! Duh! Everyone bow before Vega and his amazing help and confidence in us.
  13. I started reading this thread because, I too, am having a ridiculous amount of trouble questing solo at the appropriate levels as a 32 Sentinel. I just barely finished Act 1, and am now having difficulty killing 3 Sith Elites for my class quest. But reading these threads, you get people talking about the class' viability in PvP when others may be talking about PvE, and then a flame storm starts.. it doesn't help. It also doesn't help when someone simply says you're doing things wrong, but won't say what you should be doing.. This is my first post on the forums, I'm loving the story and have sunk so much time in already, but things are becoming really frustrating. I feel like my damage is really good, but I die way too fast, even with Saber Ward, Rebuke, medpacks, Pacify, Statsis, etc.. You don't have to take it so personal when people are having issues with a class.
