Learned most of the things I now know about tweaking /performance from using this ( way back when I had Windows ME Installed ) !!! Seeing the name blackviper brings back memories of exploration testing .. and swear words when I did something wrong and napalmed my OS .. LOL !

You should give some of this a try , it truly does help . Though its no magic bullet it offers some people the ability to play versus not being able to before .

@DigitalDreamz - I believe you might have missed the title and idea behind this thread . It great that you have a computer capable of running demanding applications smoothly. Unfortunately this is NOT the case with some of persons who want to enjoy this game the best they can . It's not about the programming of the game , but what we can do to maximize the experience and enjoy what we love ( which is playing this game ) as best we can .

@ Koldur - I think you misunderstand what renegadeimp is saying , that is a question as to which performance boost is being referred , not what each thing is . There is actually some very helpful information in this thread and helpful persons monitoring it , you should read through it and add any in depth information you feel we all may have missed here to help lead people in the right direction . I personally would love to read more informative productive comments from the people like you who respond in this thread .

Are you suggesting the Windows Direct X API manages your systems resources/drivers/applications in fullscreen modes ?! ......... 0.o If so how then am I able to run a server and client in fullscreen mode without windows disabling (suspending) the processes needed for the server ?

@bleedan , From what I have read in this post and a few others is there seems to be a general lag issue with illum and imperial fleet . Most likely this is caused by the games engine/and or game general coding . Something you can do is get a baseline reading of the games usage in normal areas , then do the same for trouble areas like this : http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/7375/swotoridlefpsopt.jpg Possibly with this information you may find what is bottlenecking whether it be CPU/Memory/Video Card ( FPS in game is Shift +Ctrl +F ). Armed with a bit more knowledge you can try tweaking from the ground up with graphics at their lowest ( re-checking the FPS CPU/Memory/Video Card ) and then turning on features one by one to balance the best performance you can . I would be very interested in know what your results are !

@scoobydd , Yes the tweaks will also work on Vista . One of the more annoying features of Vista is the heavy handed UAC . Aside from running into that you should be fine !!! P.S. I touched Vista only once and immediately threw it into the class with Hiroshima Chernobyl and Windows 95 !

@ Zaron , Which part are you confused on disabling services or adjusting windows performance options ? @Wyrdstar more then likely you terminated a process needed to run the razer driver and software . Look in your task manager ( right click task bar and select it from drop down menu ) for the names : 1. razerofa.exe 2. razerhid.exe 3. razertra.exe 4.vDaemon.exe Those are the files needed to run the tray icon /software and driver for the razer mice . If they are NOT running ( I'm fairly certain there is no service for these ) look in C:\Program Files (x86)\Razer\Synapse and start each of the respective .exe files I listed by double clicking them. If your mouse becomes unresponsive try unplugging and plugging back in the mouse , logging out and back in ( or rebooting ) .

There are features in the drivers for both Ati and Nvidia to limit frame rates without using V-sync , they are just not easy to find and tweak both the following programs will allow you to Limit the FPS to your monitors refresh rate . ATI - http://www.atitraytools.tk/ ATI Tray Tools will do this with the Refresh Lock feature. You can set a max FPS for each resolution Nvidia - http://downloads.guru3d.com/NVIDIA-Inspector-1.94-download-2612.html Nvidia Inspector will do this through the setting Frame Rate Limiter . you can use drop down menu to desired refresh rate Both ways will work as an override in Fullscreen or Windowed Modes

If you have met all conditions for the "Founder's Title" you will get the title . As long as at some point you meet those requirements before the stated dates , it does not matter if you have done so before the " Founder's Title news post " or after . I have been with the game since the beta and pre-ordered and purchased a 3 Month Sub before launch and have received my Founders Title as of 4 days ago. I am fairly confident you will all be getting your titles soon too , it just takes time , depending on what method EA/BW has decided to go through and track all the Millions of persons meeting the requirements .
