    Post Game Update 3.0

Wz's should be separated 10 - 59, or merge all of the servers together... I am not playing with they split up the queue into 4 parts, 3 parts sucks enough as it is. 10 - 29, 30 - 54, 55 - 59, and 60 equals dead queue and everyone knows that deep down inside.
  4. I appreciate the replies everyone I have went through all stories except for smugglers, so i'm not tooo worried about it, but at the same time it seems as though if you keep on par with the planets you are questing through staying in que for a kdy isn't the worst option as suggested. I will definitely try that first and if it seems like it is a slow level then i will just do kdy for dailies like i have been doing and just heavy heavy questing, which is really mind numbing as well the 14th time around >.<
  5. This is a quick one, but everyone has been saying that KDY is the quickest for leveling, now I am so accustomed to questing as hard as I can to level, and I just havent been seeing it with KDY. The real question is, is KDY in fact quicker at leveling up characters than just questing? does anyone have any strong feelings otherwise?
  6. did you just suggest a nerf to sorc heals!? BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
  7. This is a great idea, too bad its far to difficult of a concept for the devs to handle :/. When they said they were removing field respec for good i tried to post and say not to remove it for regs.... i was told i was stupid for saying so...
  8. Sorcs have needed the buff since they haven't been able to even counter madness at all. Please tell me you even understand how awful the madness buff was to the healer spec. If there are two madness sorcs bursting a healing sorc, they drop so *********** fast you cant even try to LOS and H2F... I said this since the buff was even introduced as an idea, but nobody listens. At this point, tech type classes burn the crap out of sorcs, pyro or ap make real short work of even good sorc healers. i know i do... OP is right, there is no legitimate reason to pvp as a sorc healer, they get burned down really quick. Their healing output isn't even able to compensate, especially when madness is so overplayed anymore. When they have a tank they can do alright, but when someone else is mitigating while you re free casting, how can you not do well? The other healers are not op by a long shot, on 5 out of my 8 55's i can burn down all healers by myself. merc, sin, pt, sniper, jugg, on all of those classes i take down any healer no problem. The other 3 i can put substantial pressure to which a second player can tip the balance of and kill the healer. Anyone who has any kind of issue what so ever killing healers ESPECIALLY sorcs, is a lost cause and should probably quit while they have some dignity.
  9. I run my PT as pyro, but i really like to play shieldtech in all dps gear. For regs it wrecks face believe it or not. it pulls some high numbers when you feel like being a reg star. BUT you really shouldn't be looking for specific numbers in a match, as long as you did your job as a "tank" or an actual tank. What i mean is tanks are like a jack of all trades type gameplay i feel. you wanna hit as hard as you can so your team doesn't lose out on the dps all that much, but keep that protection up. if there is no healer, your perk is you aren't the easiest thing to kill so node guarding is wonderful. PT's are great for that because they have shoulder cannon. When i play my PT as shield tech i'll volunteer to node guard if the team looks scrubby so i can epeen on them for not doing their job. On matches like a voidstar where both teams have good healers, you best be watching those objectives, because if you are losing out on dps anyway the one to really pay attention should be the tank(everyone should but more or so the tank). In like a voidstar where people like to rack up points i have pulled (full shieldtech) 700k damage, 400k protection. Spam those taunts, spam those aoe's. Your real benefit as a pt tank or "tank" is how much you can control the enemy. you get oil slick and a constant 50% slow that does enough damage to be real helpful. Don't ever look up to those numbers as like a goal or expected, if a tank is doing a great job controlling the enemy period they are a good tank. If you are throwing up your guard on your healer and you end up with 100k protection but he didn't die, you've done everything perfectly fine. Tanks are usually only really beneficial by a long shot when there is a healer around when they stack survivability. When they stack damage they have some kind of survivability but can pack a punch, and pt's are perfect for this. They have so many spammable aoe's and some painful moves, so either way you go is good. As far as what you should really focus on is, mainly not letting your healer die, OBJECTIVES: watch them to death, control the enemy team as much as you can in cluster **** situations, rotate your guard to people who are being focused, these are all things people will notice and will make you a boss tank.

not asking for 100% balance. asking for balance, period!

the only sad thing is, the devs have already killed our dreams on open world pvp. they came out with the statement after killing ilum that there would be no more open pvp areas (with actual reason to go to them).

yeah, honestly. the balance is at its worst. ever. i have all 8 classes btw

that sums up the idea of "pvp" in this game. a bunch of leet players who get mad over other classes being able to kill them. Up until recently i'd like to be bold and claim swtor pvp was one of the most competetive, skill driven, while still being fun as anything pvp that i had seen in a long long time. So the "epeens" get pretty f**king upset when the competition stops and it all turns into what class you play. That is the oversight of the pve group. Nerfing tank survivability would change HUGE amounts of how pve plays out which is why you DO NOT change the tanking trees themselves. You make hybrids an actual existing strategy in pvp. There is a way to make it work, just not 1000dps as a hybrid. edit: moving back to pre 1.2 would be perfect for pvp, not pve. That is before the threat generation buff and other glorious things etc etc.

yeah op dps was ridiculous. edit: none-the-less what laforet says is true, its been a steady downhill since 1.2. upsetting to see it this way, but that's what it has come to. the fact that the appearance of a strong combo of two classes makes it game over. Solution is NOT nerfing the two classes, but fixing the damage done to all the other ones.

haha, its true, juggs can go down VERY quickly. more or so it needs to be class by class. None the less gameplay does need to speed up, and having two classes that actually idolize that and instead nerfing them is the worst decision biofail can make. (i know they haven't made any decisions yet, but i know they are just gonna take out the top parsers and expect arenas to run smooth)
