  1. I respectfully disagree. I enjoy the warzones for what they are - fun, short bursts of PvP, where (for the most part) each experience is unique. I focus more on having fun in Warzones than being upset that my Champion gear bag didn't proc. "Oh, well, time to queue up and destroy some more people, and level up my Legacy (whatever the Hell that does anyways)." In the end, I'm rewarded with at least Centurion commendations, and a chance for Champion gear. If I just got Champion gear everytime, that would make going into Warzones kind of useless after...a week? At least this gives me something to do and work towards. Or I could be doing doing Ilum dailies/weeklies for Battlemaster gear. I guess I'm just jaded by Aion, but this system is (relatively) very, very easy.
  2. Well, to be fair, it's not PURE luck. You are going to get Centurion commendations, which you can use to exchange for gear after a while. Yes, it will take a bit of a grind to get those commendations, but compared to other games, it's not bad. As a former Aion player for years, I can assure you, this is *NOTHING* of a gear grind compared to Aion, where players of Aion would KILL to have a "luck" feature. Instead, it's just grind AP for a couple years, and by then, you should be able to buy the level 30 pvp gear. On the flipside, I unsubbed Aion because there wasn't a luck feature to it. Just remember, it could always be worse.
  3. That is if Maul doesn't crit. If Maul crits, it's hitting for 2700ish.
  4. Then you're clearly missing side missions somewhere. I was always 2 levels higher than the quests I was doing. Did you do Bonus series quests? Once you complete a planet, as you're just about to leave, somewhere in the spaceport will be an NPC who will give you the Bonus series quests (they're actually called <Planet> Bonus Series: Complete XYZ Quests) But as an FYI, the Bonus series levels are staggered: Balmorra - you can do those when you complete Balmorra Tatooine - complete when you finish Tatooine Nar Shadaa - complete once you finish Tatooine Bonus Series Taris - complete when you finish Taris Alderaan - Level 40+ Hoth - Level 47+ Voss - Has two bonus series, level 47+ Belsavis - Level 50 Not sure if Quesh has bonus or not. Didn't need to do them at that point. I pretty much passed all the side quests on Corellia to just do the class quest because I was already 50.
  5. Endgame Deceptisin is fantastic. Static Charges + Discharge = burst. Voltaic Slash does enough damage on its own, but then it beefs up Shock. Then, of course, Maul.
  6. This. Deception spec, with the remainder of points put in Darkness. I think I'm 5/36/0. This class isn't difficult if you spec your character correctly and use all the skills available to you (Assasinate, Lacerate, Low Slash, Spike - not just thrash, maul, shock, repeat). To me, this class and a high level Jugg are the easiest to PvP with. I never have the top DPS or Protection in Warzones. Ever. But I usually rank in the top 3, if not first, and average 7 medals per round. I also go in with Dark Charge (and shield generator in off hand), and a reusable med pack. Protection points and healing points are your friend.
  7. I use ESDF for my movement keys, with S and F being strafe, not turn. You use your mouse to turn. A-Jolt W- Saber Strike R-Thrash G-Maul V-Shock Shift+V-Electrocute And then this part wont help you: I use a Razer Naga for everything else. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826153064
  8. I ONLY use Dark Charge in PvP to cast Guard on a healer class, and get the protection points medals. Outside of that, I use Khem Val and Surging Charge. I'm a level 42 Deceptisin - static charges are your friend.
  9. To me, the Assassin is the most versatile class in the game, and it wouldn't shock me one bit if the Sin was the first to get nerfed. Did you read the guide/codex? http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=778 Don't know - I've heard more complaints out of Marauders than any other class. I love my assassin, and can usually rank in the top 4 in PvP warzones.
