  1. We've cleared both places running double sorc healer. Corrosice grenade is totally healable if people dont stack. We can also cleanse afflics, when Operatives can't. We also ran a 3 melee comp the other day, worked fine. I will say Brontes is easier with 3 snipers/gunslingers. Orb strike takes out the first 2 tentacles as you focus down the 3rd.
  2. SM yes, HM no. SM is tuned for 69, so in good PvP gear you will be fine.
  3. Hello Darlings! <SuckaFish> has been working on a HM guide for the two new ops for a week now, and it's finally done! Hope you enjoy and it helps! I'm always updating, so if you notice something in a fight or think someone needs to be clarified, let me know. We tried to cover what we thought raiders need to know, plus broke fights down by specific roles with tricks and tips we use when we raid. These aren't the only way to do the fights, but its how we're doing them and they work pretty well. Dread Fortress Dread Palace Enjoy!
  4. Episode 2 of SuckaCast tonight a 6pm PST! We have guests on from various 8 and 16 man guilds to talk about the differences, challenges, and advantages of each Operations group. Come watch us at: SuckaCast

  6. So, I really like knowing the amount of damage my Static Barrier absorbs in a fight. Coupled with the fact i really hate math, i made this spreadsheet to do it for me. Static Barrier Calculator I like using Parsec to get my barriers cast per fight.
  7. Ok, i guess I'll step in and set a few things straight, since I always seem to need to. 1. Yes the boss is BROKEN. We never said it wasn't, and we knew because of your stream it was not WAI due to your guild member doing Austin testing. That aside, the 5 of us in there from SuckaFish, 2 EU players from the Reckoning, and Nibbon from Severity, decided to see if we could still do it to see the rest of the place. So we beat the broken boss, that's pretty cool imo. We realize it doesn't MEAN anything, but its still fun to brag about. (You all know you would too). 2. The REASON i took the stream down is because its not the whole fight. I turned on OBS in the middle of the fight, so while you see no adds, that doesn't mean we hadn't killed them all already. So instead of spouting ******** about how we had no adds and that people need to know what they are talking about, maybe you should take your own advice. Integrity has nothing to do with it. 3. This is just more DnT/ Suckafish drama, where you guys get super upset about everything. If you would have listened to the stream you might realize that the opinion we hold about you guys isn't just ours, it's random people we meet/group with on PTS also.
  8. hit me up in game, ill be on either Maylstrom or Lumaeya :}
  9. I mentioned it earlier, but gearing as well. There is two statting metas out there as far as tanking is concerned, endurance/defense vs. high absorb. So i can totally see how a sorc couldn't burst heal a tank who is super spikey but has 46k health. With high absorb its less health, but the way damage comes in is more manageable. Also, what two tanks are you using. Like, there is no way on earth i would raid with 2 sins, soooo spikey. Sorcs naturally align really well with juggs, Op/PT, and Sin/Merc, imo, simply based on the way those classes heal/take damage.
  10. I just cant see this. Even in 16s with just myself and a Merc we can handle tank healing just fine, leaving the other sorc and an op to raid heal. I dont even care about the amount of people my reviv hits anymore, its basically a tank/melee set and forget heal for me. If im paying attention and consuming when i should, I have 0 force issues and still have procs to waste on instacast revivs (which i AVOID in PvE. I'd rather have the force and you don't need to cast it that quickly). (Also, I'd harken to guess that your tanks aren't statted correctly (or using the old meta) and that's why their damage is so problematic.Maybe im just spoiled with my tanks, absorb is totally undervalued.) I think what my issue is here is that all this force regen and consumption issues are coming from a PvE perspective, which as someone who does both i can tell you in PvP is where the problem is. You really SHOULDN'T be having such a significant force issue in PvE simply because it doesn't matter how often you consume, you aren't taking that much damage to make it a problem (resurgence cleans it up PERFECTLY). In PvP is where it screws you, both by not having procs being generated (by having to move) and having to consume just in general (again, tell me who isn't auto training sorc healers). Also, my earlier polarity shift + Dark heal think was a joke. Please no one do that....
  11. I feel like force regen isn't the problem though, its that force management is so underplayed. Like i said earlier, if force regen is a problem, how is the heal designed to manage our force bad? If you manage your force well the whole time, you never have a force regen problem. They way the whole sorc class is designed is that you're constantly juggling healing, your own health, and force. Isn't there some cheesy flavor text that states the same? Part of the class is figuring out that balance, its like learning how to pop yourself back in stealth if you're an op or a sin. Why do we need regen if our class has a way to avoid it. How about a force version of fake health then? We get a **** ton of force on CD (kinda like WoW innervate) but after we get a significant health loss (staying in line with the whole Sorc class image). As far as burst healing, there is NO damage in this game I haven't been able to burst heal. And we SHOULDN'T have the same burst as a merc, that is where they shine. Different classes need to be good at different things, that's how you get varied group comp.
  12. Its because there are 2 ways to heal on a sorc. 1. is this 0 crit, innervate almost exclusive healing, which i feel is best for 16s and greater raid healing. You can run the "force positive rotation" and generate more force than you ever use. The reason your healers are running out of force is because those heavy damage phases require more DI's since the raid is taking huge chunks during lightning field and other heavy single target damage thats being put out to dps (i swear our snipers take more damage in P1 dreadguards than anyone else). Without being really diligent about resurgencing DI's you run out of force fast. But since you aren't using your resurgence on innervate, you're not getting the procs that way; it's a slippery slope. I would say also if you have 2 sorcs raid healing, one needs to be the barrier'er and one the healer. Every bubble you cast in 16s is 5-6k healing you don't have to do. We ran 4 healers (2 sorcs) in 16s this week and we got through p1 so cleanly simply because half the raid got bubbles going into lightning field and then 3 targets (since i cant un-sorc myself enough on the op to stop) getting DI's (Kolto Inj. for me) precasted so its hits .5 a sec after the lightning. Just tips, i have a bunch of them. I pride myself on my thought process on healing on the sorc, i have tons of in fight tricks to make it super efficient. The thing is though, sorcs have this beautiful problem of being able to have no short term resource problems but it can get us in the end of a fight. My tip? I use Force Barrier all the time as a quick force regen during low damage phases. Consumption yourself to 4-5 stacks, until you're at 50-60% force (or even 80-90% if i really have time to spare) and then Barrier your way out of them. Also, watch your fellow healers resource bars. I know when Tigg is in trouble so i will blow my resources to give him time to recover, then he can help me recover. More than 1 healer out of resources at a time is troublesome. 2. is 8man/MT healing. This is where the 16/8 divergence happens and comp plays a huge part. When we double sorc, you obviously split tanks between the two, but one sorc is by far more a raid healer and the other a tank healer. My raid healer also, still, casts a ton of barriers. A ton. And while numbers wise he is never at the top, it is noticeable as a healer. Our tanks notice it too. Op/Sorc is kinda the same. Putting the sorc on tanks means you have barrier and innervate can be used as an emergency heal. The innervate heavy raid healing cant be sued on tanks because we need it as a burst heal. Casting a DI when a tank is low and taking damage has a 50-50 chance of him dying, having innervate off CD has saved my *** soooooo many times. Even with the ammount of DI's i cast though, i usually have less force issues than innervate heavy healers, and this is because im usually going back and forth between the two. resurge-innervate and then resurge-DI, meaning i get the best of both worlds. So, if we're saying the issue here is a greater force issue ( which i can see most predominantly in PvP imply because you have to step out of so many innervates + consumption is FAR more punishing in PvP than PvE; I consumption for DAYS in PvE.) then the argument that resurgence is a bad/useless/is a bad waste of a gcd just for force regen is wrong. It's a heal and a way to guarantee you have more force, making it awesome in my book. Then it seems to me that the issue here is Madness, which it has always been, for a lot of different reasons.
  13. OMG, I think i just fell in love with you. <3 Though, you can't say polarity shift DH spam is fun, and it does hit harder than before. But you're right, 8 man sorc healing and 16 is very different.
  14. The strategic way to barrier is as an emergency heal. It give you time to innervate, DH, or your other healer to get something off. We also roll SBs in PvE when we know high damage phases are about to happen, ie lightning field on Dreadguards. I have my tank SBs planned when we raid based on what phase of the fight we are on. Static barrier is super underutilized, and I'll honestly say that's because there are no numbers associated with it. When you parse, that mitigated damage is not included so 90% of sorcs out there feel its a wasted GCD. My co-sorc and I probably over bubble compared to what the guides would suggest, but we seem to get through content just fine. I love when i see a sorc as the number 1 hps on torparse who casted 0 SBs. 1. That's making it harder on yourself. 2. That's making it harder on your raid. Sorcs have the unique advantage of being pro-active healers. Ops are reactionary and so are mercs. With an adrenal and a precasted, recklesssed, DI then innervate i can burst heal a tank up no problems (basically 20k in 4.8secs, and if i thought ahead and bubbled I'm in the clear). If i know Kephess is jumping down, if i see who the red reticule is on, or if i know who my main tank is and what they are doing in what phase of the fight. I know i kinda am just coming in here and poo-pooing on everyone's ideas, but I'll say again sorc PvE healing is fine. Focus on something else. SURVIVABILITY is the problem on the sorc (in PvP). Ask any melee train who they want to hit. Who is the easiest to get down. Force Barrier is a joke and is simple an opportunity to switch targets and then come back to the sorc. Maybe buff the passive healing on both barriers and make it apply to targets as well, forcing people to pop bubbles in order to negate healing. Also, looking at op defensive cooldowns, they spec into a 1.5sec CD reduction on evasion every time they are hit, bringing Evasion down to 13 secs I believe. Anyone else wanna Unnatural Preservation that often?
  15. I honestly feel like making the PvE question a healing one is silly, and simply made so because you are a PvPer and have your questions in mind already but feel the need to pacify the PvE community and healers by giving us a question. The truth is, Sorc healing in PvE is both balanced and needs very little work. We single target as well as mercs and raid heal as well as ops. Double sorc comp is probably the most viable double healing class comp in an 8man setting also (if you had to run two of the same). Resurgence is a great heal, and fits in our rotation and if you're smart you use it not just to give yourself innervate crits. I cast more DI's than most sorcs and have far less force issues simply because i use resurgence smarter. If you want to fix it, take out the armor buff. Lightnings mobility is a problem in both PvE and PvP, but sorc dps is far more common in established PvP comp than sorc heals. I'm pretty sure you're on the Bastion, you see how underutilized sorc heals are in PvP simply because survivability wise we can't compete with ops. Don't pigeonhole lightning as a PvP question, and don't make heals PvE as well.
  16. Bastionette here, and I just wanted to let you know why we are all WORKING together. I would have thought that a server working so hard together, both the top PvE and PvP guilds, is what this whole class rep thing was supposed to foster. Every time i see a "We don't need a PvP Mara" comment i think those people really don't understand that this position is more about promoting community discussion than just having their minions come on this thread and post angry, font happy, tantrums. Truth is, Gudarzz's knowledge of his class is top notch, which is why he is so popular on Twitch and well known. He also has already come to my guilds Marauders (which everyone knows ARE the best PvE Maras. Anyone wanna go against Gorband and Steadfast?) about PvE, just like the Paowee has already gone to <Hey I'm MVPs> Snipers and made a public spreadsheet for other snipers to contribute to. It's a little silly to poo-poo on community involvement and cohesion, since this is what the whole thing is about. So, here's my endorsement, from the #1 US PVE Progression guild: Vote for Gudarzz! (Who is also in Suckafish on his Jugg, which technically makes him a PvE'r)
  17. Generic "I agree". Love you. Sins should also be able to clean deionized, just saying.
  18. B'oarder my dear, NEVER apologize to PvPers...especially krxnchy, lol. <3
  19. So the three of us decide to get into more shenanigans, specifically HM Toth and Zorn. http://www.twitch.tv/maebeebuzz/c/2535361
