She'll make point 5 past light speed. She may not look like much but she's got it where it counts, kid. I've made a lot of special modifications myself .... but, we're a little rushed, so, if you'll just get on board we'll get out of here.

There were many great elements of SWG but there were also some fatal flaws. First it was ridiculous to limit each player to one (then two) character per server. They had a good idea with making Jedi difficult to obtain. But when I finally unlocked my Jedi, I was annoyed that the new character had to start over rather than be the main character I had been playing all along. And once the recipe for unlocking a Jedi was made public, eventually everyone would have one, negating what they intended. And the permadeath made it not fun to play. So they felt they needed to do something and they went with the CU and NGE, which pissed off their customers. Over time (years) they repaired that damage but they had already permanently lost a big chunk of players. They stopped marketing the game in stores and tried to increase revenue by getting more from their existing customers via that horrible trading card game. Everyone likes something different but I prefer the open world to following a set path. I really don't care about a story or voice overs. Maybe someone else thinks those things are great. I think it's just decoration and not really the game itself. We'll see how long this game retains my interest - hopefully for a long time.

It is my third skill, not fourth. I still don't have it but it says it' there making me unable to get a third.

Has this happened to anyone else? I selected 2 crew skills, Artifice and Archaeology, while leaving the 3rd slot unfilled. Then I looked a couple days later and that third slot was occupied by scavenging. I never selected scavenging. I tried to drop it but it said I couldn't. I don't remember the exact message but something like I didn't hae anything to drop. I tried to add a different third skill and it said I had to drop one first. What should I do about this problem?

I got in on the last wave yesterday. Good luck to all today. Let's hope they get through all the rest.

9/20 and in at 11:56AM EST got the names I wanted ........ so everything is fine. Hoping everyone gets in soon

I asked this question in the general forum, but it is so active today that my post falls to the fourth page before I can blink. I have a question regarding naming. Can names be duplicated across different servers? If I create a character (when I get in) and the name is taken, will I be able to just go over to another server and try it there?

There is one thing worse than those whining about not being able to play .... those who are whining about them. People have a right to be pissed off. No one was expecting to play yesterday or last week. But it really sucks when you know there are others who are playing, and you are not permitted. Personally, I can wait. It's not a big deal to me to not be able to play right away - with one exception. There is a name I want, and if it's taken by someone else, I'm going to be annoyed. Anyway, people are angry and let them vent.
