  2. You step off the platform and are stunned for 6 seconds, you're taken to half health then stunned again for 6 more seconds before returning to the medical center.
  3. That's a really cool idea to give incentive to leveling an under populated faction. As it relates to PvP - what if stat increase wasn't based on server population in general but population on Ilum itself? Then the balance wouldn't be based on total characters of level 50 on the server, but actual participants of Ilum (or whatever other open world PvP may be introduced later).
  4. I agree, Ilum is broken, and the change to make it better made it far worse. One suggestion before changing a system... make sure that it's making it better. You know you've totally done the wrong thing when you release a change and have to bring the area down because it is so awful. I like these ideas, it would make Ilum far more enjoyable for me. Have there be a point to Ilum, not just kill exchanging, but factional buffs that would carry over in to other aspects, even PvE buffs for Flashpoints and Operations. PvP servers should have 1 affiliation, either republic or imperial not both. Difficult to make that restriction now - but would be worth while moving forward. I know there are people that want both faction story lines (I'm one of them). If you want both story lines, then roll on another server, it's not like you're imp toon will help your rebel main much anyways - except for letting your guildies camp you on Ilum for their daily/weekly. Let's get some good PvP ideas flowing so we can make a fantastic storyline driven game also viable for PvP, and not just a conglamoration of gank squads that are only stopped by being insta-killed in the oposing bases.
  5. I've waited for about a week after the Ilum update before posting, and because most of my grievances have been listed prior, I'm not going to rehash it. I just want to voice my concern that the PvP in Ilum is far worse in 1.1 than it was prior - it was a terrible update and should have been fixed to work "as intended" before rolling it out. My real question: Is there somewhere that BW could link stating what was actually intended with Ilum - what were they really hoping to accomplish, instead of saying after the fact that what they published wasn't as intended?
  6. Having a 50s bracket doesn't do anything to help or hinder what you're posting about. There will always be people who suck at PvP, and expect to be carried. And 10 times that many who will whine and complain about it.
  7. Thanks for such a great guide! I made it to 400 Synthweaving (yes, I know most would say it's a wasted profession) before reading the guide on REing, I'd found the 3 tier 1 types on my own, but thought it ended there. This is going to be a total money sink for me... I'm not sure whether you should be thanked or beaten . We'll start with the thanks... when I'm broke, then we'll see.
  8. I get what he's saying, I'm a synthweaver that no one has a need for. People just get orange pieces of gear that matches the look they want for every slot, and have those that can make mods for them do it. It happens so much that I'm dropping my capped synthweaving for something useful.

  10. If you don't like the PvP mechanics, go do something else. To say that you don't want PvP stats for PvP is just crazy.

  12. I don't think that the lack of an LFG system is crippling. I don't mind interacting with other players and making groups on my own, groups generally turn out better that way anyways.
  13. I've had no problems finding people to run flashpoints or heroics. It may be nice to have a tool that helps to find groups for people that are incapable of finding them on their own, but if you make 2 friends, it's ridiculously easy to run just about anything but operations - and those would suck as PUGs anyways.
