    Uhmm, yes and no I think. I did report someone doing this a few weeks ago, however it's not a guarantee. AOE still hits them, you just can't target them directly, which means once your AOE's are on cooldown they are free to arm.
  2. I think the timers are messed up. I played in a round a couple of days ago and we (Imps, attackers) were let out of our starting area before the republic defenders, so much before that the bomb was planted and had gone off right when they were let out. Either that or none of them came out, which I doubt.
  3. So I ran a test on this last night and found a couple of things. The stats on items are not bolstered. Changing gear before and after entering a warzone has no effect on stats. When I leveled from 33 to 34, my health actually dropped while bolstered. So it changes with scale, IE a level 10 is going to be bolstered more than a level 15. They are probably given the better stats to help compensate for the lack of skills.
  4. lol.. Yes and no. I like to PvP, it's fun. If everyone was 'equalized' I think it would be even more fun, as the true 'skill' is what would shine. But where is the fun in knowing you're a better player, but because your gear sucks (even though you've spent weeks PVP'ing) you get facerolled. Many 50's got the commendations for the gear they currently have by killing sub-50's in warzones prior to 1.1. I know I did, for a couple of weeks once I hit 50. I don't see the harm in increasing the cap. They still have to grind the commendations, no matter what they're still doing the work! There isn't a point in preventing the purchase prior to 50. Maybe back when nobody was 50 there was a point to it, but now that there are thousands of 50's at top valor, the reason for limiting it has disappeared. The cap was there to get people to spend the commendations. Once you've purchased everything you are allowed to purchase, what then? It feels like such a waste to see that you're only playing for XP..valor and commendations are capped! (valor is capped until you level.) Here's another thought, put level 25/30/35/45/49 pvp gear in! Then people won't hit the commendation cap..
  5. I would love to. I'm level 34, have all the 40 PVP gear in the bank, a champion bag, and I'm at 1000 of both commendations. But you can't buy a second bag, and both the speeders require the necessary valor level just to buy them! I guess I'm going to have to start buying gear for my companions now.
  6. Tanking is very viable in pvp. I'm surprised nobody else has mentioned Force Pull. In Huttball it's vital. Force pull into fire to take the ball or kill that guy that seems to be unkillable. I can't even count how many times I've pulled someone to fire to take the ball and sprint it in for a cap. I'm only 34, but I'm lovin it so far! Also have a 50 merc, and it's not nearly as fun as the assassin is in PvP.

    150 kills?!

    Is the weekly 30 kills or the daily 30 kills? I haven't checked on my 50 in a while. I know 30 kills on my server would take forever. 5-10 may be doable, but the most republic I've seen at one time is 4. Edit: Just saw the above post..yeah, 30 a day is going to take a long long time.

  9. I agree, something has to change. Either let us buy/hold more bags, or uncap valor, or uncap the commendations. Any of the above works for me. Right now everything is maxed even after buying all my 40 gear. At most I can have 6 bags when hitting 50 (1 in my bank, +5 I can purchase with capped out commendations). Stims are going to have to start being destroyed since they can't be sold, and I'm not going to pop a 15% expertise stim instead of a health stim. Just seems a waste if you want to level through PvP.
  10. I thought that the stats were bolstered included gear. IE, a +20 endurance item would be bolstered as well.. Otherwise, it's not really that much of a bolster. I mean, level 10 gear has MUCH fewer stats than level 49 gear. Just bolstering the base stats of the class seems kinda weak.
  11. Stats aren't equalized either. They are buffed by a percentage. What I mean is, say you have two assassins. One with Tanking gear (+Endurance) and the other with DPS Gear (+Willpower) They aren't both going to be bolstered to the same stats, they have their stats boosted by a percentage (say it's 1000%) Tank assassin now has boosted endurance, and DPS assassin has boosted willpower. So gear scales with you. It's not just skills that makes a difference, but the stats you have when you play.
  12. That's what I thought. What a load of crap. Once you max out mercenary and warzone commendations, there's really no point to doing pvp once you hit your valor cap per level.
  13. The reason I asked, I noticed last night my valor was maxed at level 34. My character is level 34. Can I not surpass my character level in valor? I know you can go up to 65, so at some point it's "unlocked"..maybe I'm bugged or it's just going to take a few more warzones to bump it up..? Thanks
  14. Made an assassin as my alt, and really enjoying it. I'm only doing space/class/pvp and I'm level 34 right now. It picks up at later levels. As said, guard people and taunt off the ball carrier to help the most. Go with deception to start, as Darkness is kinda crap until later. Once you hit 30 the game changes with Force Pull in the Darkness tree. I can't explain how much fun Huttball is once you get force pull. See the ball carrier? Pull into fire, take the ball, sprint to goal. Rinse and repeat. I get 4-5 scores a game. I don't get many kills / medals (since fire doesn't count for some stupid reason) but I help the team win, and in the end get more points that way. Fast wins means fast leveling and more points.
  15. I've got a 50, a 27, and a 16. I PVP all the time as the 16 and 27, and I've killed many 50's (many solo) so I don't see a problem. It isn't easy, but it happens every round or so that I kill a 50 in a fair fight. Anyhow, complaining about something that will be fixed in a matter of hours.
  16. As said, this is a bug, it will get fixed. The fix is to transfer into your characters inventory, which WILL stack them, and them move them back into the bank. It only takes a minute to do this and is just a temporary workaround.
  17. I skipped very few dialogs. I skipped tatooine entirely except for class quest since everything was either green or grey by the time I got there. I did *I think* all of the other planetary quest. I did some PVP, all the flashpoints up to and beyond 50. I haven't done all the daily quests on Ilum, but have done several hard flashpoints. I did zero space combat missions. I had a few days off for Christmas, a 3 day weekend for new years. No kids, but last I checked I was still married. I'm not sure how long that's going to last given how much I've played, but we'll see! I did have a few 15 hour days in on the game. I had a lot of fun. Also, I spent zero time "LFG" since I had guildies I could play with who were also leveling. Some planets I ran completely through with a guildie (Tarsis, Hoth). I'm on my lvl 24 assassin now, or 10 operative, or 10 juggernaut, my 50 is a merc. The class stories are awesome so I'm playing through all of them now and skipping the rest. It's likely going to be class/pvp/space/flashpoints for the rest of the alts.
  18. I like it. Those who hate it just don't understand it yet. A team that works together and manages resolve appropriately will win. Don't rack up resolve points on someone right as they hit the goal when it's just you doing damage, as a last ditch effort sure, but not when they're on the bridges! One stun, no resolve, don't break. Second one, full resolve, break stun, run until resolve bar runs out. Then you're able to be stunned / knocked back again. I like the system, and once people realize that spamming stun / knock backs isn't the way to play, you'll start to complain that it isn't enough and you always get close to the goal and are then DENIED! Nothing is going to help you if you're stunned and 5 people star hitting you. Just bend over and kiss it goodbye.
  19. I don't think the warzones are really damage dependent. I mean, I don't care who is top damage. I care about medals. Medals require damage, healing, guarding, defending objectives, etc. The more medals, the more they helped the team. Top damage is only going to have 3 or 4 medals. Do damage and get goals, defend, etc, and you'll get 6, 7, 8, 9+ medals. I vote MVP based on medals. A level 16 isn't going to be top damage or healing, but a level 16 that is doing damage, guarding/healing, running the ball, etc. can easily get 7 or 8 medals and they deserve an MVP vote for helping the team. MVP gives you more Valor and more Warzone commendations - just like more medals does as well, so it's a double incentive to actually help out instead of spamming a spell to get high damage.
  20. I don't think they are too short. It depends on class combo and how it's played. Two healing classes can fight each other indefinitely if played right. I'm a healing Merc, and more than once I've gone toe-to-toe with another 50 and they end up giving up and moving on. Multiple people on a single target isn't going to take long to burn 'em down. Even ops with their stuns are only OP if they outgear you and get the drop on you without a trinket pop available. Otherwise I just wait for the second stun, pop trinket, knockback, stun them, heal up, hit 'em with a fusion missile and burn 'em down. Hopefully they pop their trinket on the first stun, then instant concussion missile and you've got a minute to rest up and get the drop on them! Play right and the fights are pretty even 1-on-1. If you're DPS going against a tank or a healer, expect a tough fight, you aren't going to burn them down in a few seconds.
  21. I think you're missing the point. Huttball is SUPPOSED to be a mix of republic and empire on the same team. So in your example, it would be two teams via random draw, so English and Polish members would be on each side (ie, 2 english and 2 polish vs 2 english and 2 polish). That's how it started out the first week, and how it was in betas, but something changed as of the first patch. I haven't noticed any republic on my teams, additionally I don't think I've noticed playing with any republic at all, even on the opposing teams in huttball. Maybe it's broken right now or republic aren't PVP'ing on my server.
  22. I *think* you can also get them from World PVP at 50. But I'm not positive. Right now with the lack of 50's to do world pvp, the exchange of 30-10 is the best route to go.

    I like them all, but Huttball is kind of different from any other game I've played.
  24. Huttball is a mix of players, imperial / republic as far as I know. It's because not enough people on one side in order to do one of the other two. So complain that there aren't enough Imperials or Republics doing PVP, and not that you can't queue for the others..
  25. Powertech. They can pull a target, leap to a target, knock a target back, all while taking a crap ton of damage, taunting / reducing damage dealt to others, and shield others.
