  1. Thank you, that looks like some interesting reading. I'll spend my lunch munching through it. I already feel very motivated thanks to everyone here pitching in to help. It's great to have the oppertunity to learn from those with knowledge.
  2. Thanks everyone for your interesting replies. Be sure to know that i read them all and took in the information you provided I think i'll start playing as a Tanker. While i do like putting out big numbers over peoples heads, i enjoy being more usefull for the whole team. That decided, do you folks have any spec you can recommend? Futhermore, i'll probably have to start somewhere, and that will be in solo-queues. I do not have any issues with that, but i complicates the learning curve a little bit, seeing as i can't really ask my oponents what i did wrong. But i do feel it is a good place to start. I would like to be atleast somewhat usefull before i join a dedicated PVP guild!
  3. Thank you for the quick reply! I've yet to decide what spec to play. While i do love tanking (And this is where i have my Rakata gear), in PVP it is a strange feeling. Because, as you mentioned, in 1 vs 1 i feel pretty useless. But that is negleckted if you do party up with some fellow PVPers. But i really want to be independent, meaning i can still hop into a random WZ alone and not get thrown around completely. To sum it up, i haven't decided yet. Perhaps you know of some good PVP videos that show these two playstyles? I'm not that big of a fan for the insane-smash-damage-spec-thingy though. I know a bit about Resolve, but probably not as much as i ought to. There's a post stickied here on the forums, i'll read through that!
  4. Hello fellows! I'm mostly a PVE dude. Frankly, i love putting endless of hours into end game raiding content. But now i've come to miss the good old days of my mmo career, when PVPing was a big part of my game time. So i purchased the starting PVP kit and took my Sith Jugg into some PVP matches... and i got my *** totaly deformed plenty of times. The problem is, i've never really PVPed in SWTOR. Actually, the last time i played PVP "for real" was back in Vanlilla WoW. So my skills are pretty outdated and i feel like a headless chicken running around. Therefore; I'm taking action to improve and evolve. My first step is to get some basic understanding of the PVP in SWTOR. Like, is it better to use the starting PVP gear then my usual Rakata PVE gear? Which skills to prioritize. And most importantly, get a feel for the common PVP playstyle of a Sith Jugg (Right now, i run around guarding everyone and jumping straight into an instant death.). Is there perhaps something more i should wrap my head around? My ultimate goal is to be competetive in a 1VS1 fight with any class. Any help is really appreciated!
  5. If that is how you read my post then apparently i must have formulated my self wrong. Clearly you're in a defensive stance right now, and we won't get any good discussions from this. Perhaps i should have added: TL;DR: I think the Jugg is fine. I can tank just fine. Perhpas you should try to improve your self instead of asking for more abillities?
  6. Where did i say that? I started by posing a question, to give you a perspective on the matter. Do you really want to just stand still and get free aggro, or do you actually enjoy a challenge? Do you want the game to play for you, or do you want to play it your self? Then i proceeded by stating my own opinion. Perhaps i was misstaken. Perhaps you're only allowed to whine in this thread. EDIT: I felt like contributing to the discussion some more. Sure, i do see why people are asking for more threat. The Jugg playstyle really requires you to be focused all the time, and it does not allow for any mishaps. That's just the way i like it though and i find it really fun to play. For me, it's sort of a way to seperate the good tanks from the bad. A bad Jugg will wreck an OP/FP, while in WoW a bad tank could still hold aggro by spamming his highest threat generation skill.
  7. NEWS FLASH: Everyone complains about something. Complaining does not mean something is broken. With that said, shape the f*ck up. Tanking is not supposed to be easy. You should have to fight and be on your toes to keep aggro and stay alive. Why else would you play as a tank? Just to stand there and get free aggro? Now, i'm playing as a juggernaut tank and i'm loving it. If i'm on the ball and really watching my skills and rotation, i can hold the aggro just fine. Sure i loose it from time to time, but then i just taunt back and focus harder. And yes, i'm currently undergearing our DPS by alot. The Jugg is fine, really.
