  1. Hmmm, now August 2nd and still no fix. Hopefully this is not a sample of the sort of support we can expect from the new Dev team...
  2. Compared to an existing server, how is the performance? Outstanding. Much better than the US servers I've tried. Any specific areas or planets where you feel the performance has lessened? I ran through the Consular start, but didn't hit many planets other than Tython. What region/country do you reside in? Wellington, New Zealand. Provide a comparison of ping from existing servers to Shae Vizla. Ping running between 15ms to 35ms on Shae Visla...ordinarily my ping on the NA servers runs between 75ms to 125ms. Is grouped content working properly? Only ran one group, seemed fine. How quickly can you get into a match or Flashpoint you’ve accepted? Very quick! I didn't actually measure the delay, and due to timezone differences I'm usually online late at night US-time. Is travel to any location (planet, Stronghold, Fleet, etc…) hindered? No issues. Travel seems almost "instant" compared to the NA servers. Are there any issues with the UI such as missing assets or loss of functionality? No issues. Everything worked as it should. Are there any issues with visuals or sounds with the cinematics? None.
  3. For those with issues similar to mine (see posts above - graphics settings on loading screen screwed up, game immediately freezing up), you might try this... Using the non-Steam launcher I set it to PTS, and when I got to the borked (and frozen) loading screen. I hit "ALT + Enter". That dropped me into a working launch screen, after which I was able to get into settings (lower left corner of screen) and change to the correct screen resolution...and all was well. Apparently the default screen resolution for PTS was somehow set to 3840x2160...which was clearly sub-optimal.
  4. I have tried both the regular SWTOR launcher as well as the Steam version. I figured that burning a few Gig of storage for duplicate installs would be a cheap price to pay to get PTS running. Unfortunately...no Joy. As I mentioned above, when trying to access PTS with either launcher the graphics settings on the loading screen are screwed up, and the game freezes. When I use the Bioware launcher or Steam to access the regular game...everything works fine.
  5. Similar problems here...I cannot get PTS to start. Currently running Win 11 & have tried both Steam and non-steam versions. I run the launcher, make sure that PTS is selected as the target environment, thes game starts with incorrect graphics resolution...and the initial screen freezes (completely dead) and I have to use Task Manager to flush the game. I've invested several hours in trying to fix, searched for posts & known issues to see if anyone has had similar issues, and have followed several recent PTS guides...no luck. Hopefully someone has some "magic" to share, otherwise I guess I'll just play the game, and forget about PTS.
  6. Still broken. Of course, being Bioware, there is no need to post a status.
  7. Some great news! We have been in the top 10 for the last two Conquest Weeks on the Republic side! We've had tons of fun running these events! Also, a lot of effort has gone into decorating our Imperial and Republic Guild ships, and they must be seen to be believed! Truly spectacular! Please come join us, have some fun, and play alongside a really great group of people!
  8. How about stopping the silly contest, and letting the server load drop back to earth? That way we could at least check on the status, without waiting 5 minutes for the server to respond.
  9. Just to say that it is not an isolated incident. I have added the FT-6 Pike pet from one character, but cannot purchase the legacy unlock for it...the purchase icon is there, but clicking on it does nothing.
  10. At the risk of overselling Guild Medieval, let me toss out another plug for a great group of people. I've been playing computer games for many (many, many) years, but always single-player. I had tried a couple of multi-player shooters, but the people I ended up having to play with ruined the experience for me. Like many of us, I really enjoy the Star Was universe; the movies, the books, the games...and I've played KotOR & KotOR II more times than I can count. I finally decided to give The Old Republic a try, and found that while I enjoyed the solo experience, in order to get access to all of the content, and fully enjoy the experience, you really do need to play with others. It may sound silly, but it was with great trepidation that I started searching for a guild. I wanted to find like-minded family-oriented people, who loved to play games, but who also recognized that RL comes first. When all is said and done, it is indeed all about the people behind the character. I took my time looking around, and found my home at GM. It was a great move for me, and might be for you as well. 11. Here it is 2015, and they still haven't fixed this bug. I first played SWtOR when it first came out, and this bug was a hot topic...you'd think that after all this time they would assign someone who actually knew how to code to fix this.
