  1. Yeah..they're essentially using our Early Access as an extended beta stress test lol I mean..by the way they're letting people in it sure seems like they're treating it like Beta.
  2. Thanks for the figures! Nice work! Also, I understand that, and the fact they've increased entry the next day by so much is definitely very positive progress. But my thing is if they were really THAT worried that the first day of approx. 119k+ users spread across 114 servers (73 US 41 EU) was going to crash their servers or cause really bad problems....then there is a MUCH WORSE problem and it will rear its ugly head on retail launch day. I think they're playing it way too overly cautious to use as a marketing tactic later saying "Smoothest, most stable launch ever in MMO Gaming history!" or something like that lol
  3. Here's the irony...now hear me out on this. BioWare is doing the early access waves the way they are to eliminate queues, wait times, and overcrowding. Inadvertently they have created the longest queues EVER (no other game had 24hr, 36hr, and 48hr queues before), which pretty much makes the wait times also longest in gaming history. And as a result forums and all of their other communication avenues are completely overcrowded and their Customer Support teams are being annihilated lol. Nicely done. ...or to quote a friend of mine on FB: "they're trying the Eric Cartman theory... Everyone will want to get in, simply because they can't"
  4. Stopped sending waves by 3pm EST again?!?!? This makes no sense..most other launches had people working throughout the day to get people in. (and yes those launches were smooth) Yesterday the server pops stayed light majority of the time and were nearly empty (hence the exploit we've been seeing). I was up pretty late and the server populations stayed pretty low for the most part. Lots of complaints from players about how empty the servers seemed (remember its instanced). You could have easily tripped the amount of people you let in yesterday, and looking at server pop now at least DOUBLED it today. I'm not mad because I'm not playing, I'm just mad that I cant login and save my names now which will be gone by the time I can get in game. It's the only reason I pre-order. I understand the staggered waves and why you're doing it. But you're being too cautious the servers aren't even being stressed. At this point you're just rewarding those who pre-ordered sooner...which was never originally part of the Pre-Order package. This definitely could have been done a lot better. What one of the following is a worse issue for you Bioware: Having hundreds of thousands of frustrated/pissed off PAYING customers before the game even comes out, or having to work a few extra hours in the day, open the gates a little wider and stand by IN CASE something goes wrong (which most likely won't anyway)? Seem you chose the former, and that's poor customer relations.
  5. OMG thats a name I have not heard in YEEEEEEAAAAAAARRRS I'm a former (preNGE) Smuggler/Combat Medic from VADR!!! (Daelin Lightstorm I think his name was..but I'm sure most of you dont remember me) I thought I lost you guys forever haha ...unfortunately I'll be playing on a RP-PVP server (we want pvp but with a more mature community lol) with my guild that I run, but if it would be alright with you guys I'd love to make a character on that server to play with some of the VADR guys again. Man...that brings back some memories!
  6. Yeah I was a little late in the game as well and knew I wasn't getting in today once I saw how they were doing the waves. BUT you have to remember we were not told about this "staggered, entry in the order in which you redeemed your code" until not too long ago. So...had they told us this from the beginning I believe everyone (my self included) who was worried about not getting in on Day 1 would have pre-ordered early. See I'm not that upset that I'm not "playing" I'm just upset that I cant at least login and save my names and get my guild organized as that is the main reason I pre-order any game. Now, not only are my names (and most of my guildmates names) probably taken, the server we're on is FULL and none of us have even been able to login yet. Also, that makes me wonder...what is the point of the Guild Launch service if you're going to keep them locked out of the game and let their server fill up causing them to have to move to another one and then coordinate with their guild manually (which the hole purpose of the Guild Launch thing was to make it easy for guilds to coordinate and get on the same server lol. Now we weren't part of the Guild Launch thing..for this I'm just stating the obvious lol Sadly...in our case we can't just up and move to another server as only one of those server types exist for the east coast lol.
  7. LOL They already offered me 15% off on my next purchase just because they couldn't answer the question of "What day will you be charging my credit card for my DIGITAL pre-order" lol ...they literally didn't know the answer and only said "Soon!" lol
  8. "At least one day?" ...uhm. Part of the pre-order bonuses is that we got early access from the 15th-20th at least. It wasn't until late in the game that you guys pushed it earlier 2 days and decided to do this wave stuff. You don't understand...everyone pre-orders primarily to SECURE their names. By doing it this way you've screwed the majority of us out of this. Not to mention pretty much rendered the Guild Pre-Launch service useless considering so many servers are "Full" and most guild members can't even log in to the game yet. I can tell you if I end up with only 1 or 2 days of early access, I'm canceling my pre-order and will wait until all this crap settles down to play. I mean, I've already lost all my names anyway and our server is loaded so whats the point of a pre-order?. EDIT: The only way to really justify all of this is if you're able to get these waves of people in and the end result be that ALL pre-orders gain early access by the 15th. Otherwise its a failed early access launch no matter how you look at it because you weren't able to complete the goal by the date you set. Not to mention, that you're not providing players with what they paid for.
  9. They stopped sending out waves so they could all clock out at 5pm and go home and play the game. If you caught the interview with James Ohlen and Curse, he stated that they all needed to login today as well and level up their characters normally. Hopefully this answers your questions.
  10. And before any of you start flaming me. I'm not QQing because I cant "play"...read the whole post before you comment lol.
  11. I stayed up all night for server information so I could prepare my guild. I'm awake for 4 waves and hear more are coming. I go to sleep hoping to wake u and see that several additional waves have gone through. Nope...only 1 more wave went through and then they're done for the day...and it wasn't even 5pm. Ya know...I don't mind the staggered launch. I don't mind the fact that they're releasing multiple waves little by little. I don't mind the fact that I didn't get in on day one (I didn't expect to anyway). However, what I do find rather insulting to us paying customers is that you COMPLETELY STOP releasing waves at roughly around 3PM EST....I mean come on...the day ISN'T NEAR BEING OVER YET lol Shouldn't you guys be releasing waves well into the evening? I mean..you have to remember this was something you concocted very late into the pre-order game so nobody who pre-ordered in the earlier stages was told "If you pre order before X day you will get priority access over everyone for an entire day or two or three!! A lot more people would have probably pre-ordered in the first month had they known that. You have to understand the reason why most people are a bit upset. It's not so much that we're not able to play the game, we'll get in soon, we know this. Almost everyone pre-orders the game for the prime purpose of "getting in early and saving their names". Now that a lot of people are already in game and the remainder of us are locked out and we all get screwed out of that all because we didn't jump the gun on day one of pre-orders. Not getting in on day one is fine, I get that. Bioware not releasing waves well into the day after all of the messages on twitter and facebook and other locations telling us not to worry that the day isn't over yet and there are more waves coming is appalling. Saying "There are more waves coming!!" and then releasing one wave and saying Oh..we're done, more tomorrow is definitely not right. Had I known I was going to lose the names I wanted anyway...and that the server I was going to play on was going to be at "FULL" status days before I ever got the chance log into the game, I would not have wasted my time/money pre-ordering and spending $80 on the Deluxe Edition. I would have just waited for a local copy when I could login right then and there and play. I know why you chose to do the waves like this Bioware but...honestly...I would rather deal with long queue times, server instability and crashing if it meant I could have logged in on Day 1 of Early Access JUST to at least save my names even if the servers were barely playable from overload. I think there are a lot of you out there that would agree with me. Don't forget Bioware...this isn't "Beta Testing" This is "Early Access" which is a part of the pre-order package we "PAID FOR". We all should have equal chance at getting our names and getting into the game. /rant
  12. Definitely agree! And I'm pretty sure most(if not all) of us will be in game by the 15th. And even though this waiting while others play is torture, I do kinda love the suspense and excitement that builds up while you're waiting to get access into a new game. All that long waiting is finally almost over..just a little bit more to go! Remember, its not every day epic games like this launch...enjoy it while you can! I will tell you and swear by it 100% that when new games FIRST LAUNCH...its the best time for the game..period. You will have the most fun and enjoyment in the game ever and no matter what they add to the game later, it will never be as exciting as launch day/week/month! Now on that note...back to bed with me. I know I'm not getting in today I was very late pre-ordering See you all in a galaxy far far away....very soon!
