  1. If people are having problems redeeming the Special Forces armor codes, I urge you to report it here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=943568 As per an insert in the Star Wars Battlefront II physical copy, the codes and redemption links should be valid until March 31st, 2018.
  2. A CS agent contacted me today regarding this promotion: Thanks for contacting the Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ customer service team. My name is Kara and I am coming back to you on your request for help about the promo code with the purchased game Battlefront II that is not working. I appreciate that this must be alarming so I have taken a look at my resources to check what may have happened here. Having done so, I can advise that the said promotion is only available until November 20, 2017 at 11:59PM PST / Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 7:59AM GMT as stated on our website during the promotion. This may be the reason why the code does not work anymore on your end when your friend tried to redeem it. You can check this link below to know more about the said promotion: http://www.swtor.com/info/news/news-article/20171109 If ever you have questions about the purchased game, please contact EA/Origin or your retailer. I have replied to this message with pictures of the insert from Star Wars Battlefront II, which clearly states that the codes and corresponding links should be valid until March 31st, 2018, as it relates to redeeming the armor set and giving the links to your friends to redeem as well. What seems like the problem to me is that when the SPECIALFORCES promotion ended, it inadvertently invalidated all other legitimately redeemable codes as well. Given that this set was initially offered for free, it seems like the correct thing to do in this case would be to re-activate it until the hard cut-off as stated in the promotional materials (and on the SWTOR website when the code is redeemed) in March. This gives everyone plenty of time to redeem the codes and will alleviate the problem people are experiencing when sharing links generated by the Battlefront II physical copy redemption. Edit: As a side note, the codes on the insert provided with the BF2 physical copy is NOT "SPECIALFORCES". The code is a standard ABCD-EFGH-IJKL-MNOP type code.
  3. DKEVINZ, Sorry I missed this. I will submit a ticket and post my results if/when I hear back.
  4. DKEVINZ is correct. Just last night, a friend finally found the insert he received with the BF2 game I bought him for Christmas and messaged me with the original turn-in code. I was able to redeem it successfully. That, in turn, provided me with a shareable link, which says: SPECIAL FORCES ARMOR SET* Custom crafted for the most elite soldiers in the galaxy! Expires: March 31, 2018 Redemptions Remaining: 3 Which encourages you to share with your friends, as those 3 people will get and can share with 3 more, etc. I gave this link, just moments ago, to a friend of mine who had also missed the promotion (as a side note to that, I received no email, nor were there any tweets about the SPECIALFORCES promotion back in November which is sort of sadness since I don't read the SWTOR news pages or forums much, but I digress). The message she received back was that code was no longer valid, yet I still show 3 uses and I have not given it to anyone but her. So, please can we get this fixed prior to the March deadline?
  5. I did search but didn't find an answer to this, so I hope someone knows. Is the name change token a 30 day cooldown per character or per account? Also, are names immediately available once I change them? If I wanted to change my Sith Warrior's name from Fred to George and then name my Trooper Fred, would I be able to do so (obviously this feeds back into the cooldown question above).
  6. This is a great suggestion, and I wanted to bump it to show my support. I'd add that I'd like the following functionality: /ce - Companion emote. /cs - Companion say. If I'm roleplaying somewhere public, and my companion is with me, it seems natural enough that they would participate in a conversation, even marginally - not just stand there, mute and watching me. I'm not asking that the specific slash commands /clap /grovel /bow etc be made available (although that'd be great too, just /cbow /cgrovel etc). /say I think it's a good idea. /cs I think so too, Captain. /say Thanks Corso. /ce nods. "Least I could do." /say Well, no, the least you could do is nothing. /ce blinks. "Well, that's sort of what I'm doing now, isn't it?"
