  1. How many boxes did it take you to obtain the schematic?

Dont remember, prob between 50 - 60 before i got the purp but u can really tell the % from one sample =) The guildie got the blue expertise crystal in his second box

  2. I have purchased over 20 of these PvP Grade 6 crafting boxes.

pfft 20 =P I have purchased over 70 over three toons and yes i have the purple 41 expertise from the pvp6 box =) I'd post a screenshot later if anyone cares =) Not sure if the other stats for the purple drop from the box too but i doubt they do. I know blue expertise drop from the pvp box too as a guildie has it.

  3. My personal favorite is people claiming to have crafted and RE'd many hundreds of a specific item -

    1) made from uber expenssive grade 6 mats,

    a) that have very long gathering mission times, that have pretty poor yields even at max affection

    b) typically not really "farm"able, without massive investments in time

    2) requiring large quantities of those same mats

    3) that have very long build times, when the most they can que up at a time is 30

    4) and they supposedly did all that while spending credits on class skills, speeders & training, spaceship parts, while leveling an alt or two, browsing these forums, going to school/ working, & playing ME3/ CoD/ Skyrim/ and Hello Kitty.

    TL;DR ~ It was B.S. before 1.2 & it's B.S. after 1.2

Hehe you know what i have actually crafted hundreds of the same lv48 aim shield cause i wanted the perfect one for dps/shield spec and one with pure tanking stats and got 10 of the variations pre1.2 and another post 1.2. Pretty sure that was at least 200 crafted cause i mainly ah the critted ones and only RE the no crits. And i still have 11 stacks of the blue mats i used saved for offhand schematics for other classes. =) Not everyone is poor, i buy 99% of my mats from the AH in a stack of 99. Craft them 25 at a time 3 time a day that's 75/day. Yes, some ppl do go that far to get the right stats =)

  4. Some ppl like them to get more variety of purp schematics. I usually buy blue g6 mats in stacks, sometimes 298 - 990 a day when they are available at a decent price. That being said, yes i agree with you, i like the idea of converting blues into purps.

PS: but then again if that hikes up the prices for blue mats it will hurt new players trying to get some decent purp schematics.

  5. I am not a number person but if there are 1mil (i dont know how many, just a guess) subs in swtor and 1% (again just randomly throwing in a small %) gets horrible result, that's 10k players. And qqs from 10k players is enough to make many ppl feel that it's broken. A lot of ppl like my wife who doesn't find a problem with the RE schematics rate would not bother to post in forum or argue abt it.

PS: if that made any sense at all lol

  6. when 20 people flip coins and get heads sixteen times I would seriously consider looking at the coin to see if it has tails at all.

And then round the corner comes another 30 who flipped the same coin and gets 16 tails each. =P I have 17 comps running slicing mission and have been keeping track of "my" results and slicing is third most common on "my" list. Treasure Hunting and Archeology (the two that i dont really need) comes first and second most common on my list.

  7. imo it doesnt make too much diff since we are already getting 20 - 25% crit chance (at 10k aff) depending on what we are making. An extra droid crit will only push that to 27 - 30% (assuming u have 10k aff on ur droid, not everyone have) Just my opinon, dont hate =)

That said, yes i totally agree with you. They should have more variety and a +crit chance for every crew skills in game.

  8. I'm 400, bioa, bioc, and diplo. i'm trying to farm mats for my level 32. so i can make stims for him. the fact that i've still yet to get a rich med supply mission, after 6 log in/log out's is utterly stupid, and broken.

The fix to this, is to remove companion gift missions, from tiers you've already passed, aka grade 3, if i'm grade 6 shouldn't have companion gift missions, It's pointless, and completely annoying, that i'm getting 4/5 and 5/5 companion gifts in a skill i'm maxxed on when i'm going for a lower grade. it's dumb, and needs to be fixed, pronto.

Not everyone at grade 6 missions have their companions at near max aff level. If one's getting their gifts solely from missions (and not the gtn) it's actually more cost efficient to use low grade gifts cause the diff of affection gained is small (low grade vs high grade) if the said companion has low aff level. Hence the low grade gifts are still needed. That said, yes i totally agree that it's annoying to constantly have low level gift missions show up.

One workaround (for me, at least) is to pick up all the gift missions before the "relog" cause active missions picked up wont show again when u relog. You can then drop the ones u dont want and pick up the new ones after you relog. Annoying yes, but it works for me most of the time =)

  9. you need to be valor rank 60 to wear crafted battlemaster gear. Fresh 50s can get the set bonus anyway with the recruit set having done no pvp at all

wish i had YOUR version of the game, the recruit gear in mine doesnt have set bonus (or at least doesnt show in tooltip) =P Anyway David (I assume DavidHunt) did explain why the set bonus transfer applies only to the new armor in Community Q&A: April 27th, 2012

We’re sorry if the note confused anyone. You can pull set bonuses from all new items with set bonuses going forward. There are not any current plans to expand this to old items. The tech that allows us to distribute set bonuses as part of the armoring is new, and there are limitations to how much we can change items that players already possess. That means we can have the set bonus on all armorings that were created for 1.2 or later, but that old armor still has the set bonus on the shell item.[/Quote]
  10. If it was easy i wouldnt even bother to RE and get schematics. Why even bother to get schematics that everyone and their cousin would have, heck i'd just buy the gear off them. While we are there, why not just put all known schemetics in game on the crew trainers. lolol
  11. its my understanding that you can use battlemaster and get set bonuses but you have to have acuired the armour after the update all before the update wont carry the set bonus so if you had the full set you need to get it again.

When you acquire an item does not matter.

You can remove armoring from any item that has one.

If you remove the armoring from some high end items, it will bind to that slot (so it can only be transferred from chest to chest).

Currently, Armorings of level 61 or above (new in 1.2) have the set bonus on the armoring.

Items of level 58 or below (existed before 1.2) have the set bonus on the item, not the armoring.

My understanding is that the set bonus for the old (58 or below) gear will remain on the original shell (after you remove the mods), so crafting a new one wont have the bonus cause that's not what came from the vendor. Also though it doesnt specifically say old or new, if you read the first and second sentence it does seem like both old and new gear armoring will be slot bound (or whatever the term is).

  12. just on one account you could have 8 charactrs all sending out a companion for the same thig then mail the results to your main to sell. it seems very extreme to me. all that logging off and logging on all the time but its do-able

Not too bad if ur doing the higher level missions, cause those take a while to finish. Unless ur doing those 3min g1 missions hehehe

  13. But this items will be use in PvE, why we need have 60 or 70lvl valor for this item?

Some items looks much better then most crafted orange set, therefore are compelled to do these cfted PvP looks items.

Yeah but this is their way of saying the set is exclusively for pvp-er. Dont hate, im not against pve, i do both.

  14. some ppl such as me plays on two accounts (one my wife's) and have 58 companions total, albeit not all doing the same crew skills. Could also be cause the person priced it too high, hence the item is still there everyday when u log in =) Also, run discovered missions on ur companions before u head for bed
  15. If u know a friend who paid the 1m you can buy the upgrades from his ship for 100k, still quite a bit of money for someone new like you but yeah. Anyway, on my jedi knight synth i craft on all 5 companions (max aff) and i dont see a noticable diff for the extra 5% crit i get from that one single companion. The companion with the crit gets 25- 30% (max affection and depending on what im crafting) and the other 4 companion gets 20 - 25%. With the rng it really doesnt make too big a difference but that's just my opinion =)
  16. It was stated in the Dev Q&A that crit chance is based off of difficulty, ie orange missions/schematics have a base 10% crit chance and gray/green/yellow have a 15% crit chance.

This is further modified by companion affection, up to an additional 5% at 10k affection for a total of 15% on orange missions/schems and 20% on all others. Any companion crit bonuses then add +1/+2/+5 percent to their respective skill.

Taking my SW for example, Vette has a +5 crit to Treasure Hunting, so I could get a maximum of 20% crit rate on orange missions, or 25% crit rate on gray/green/yellow ones if I have her affection at 10k.

That being said, I don't actually have TH on my SW. While the droid sensors are a step in the right direction, being able to adjust bonuses to what I actually use rather than the semi-random distribution they are now would be awesome.

Ah kk tks for the clarification. Well that makes the companion crit chance even less valuable then. 15 - 20% vs 20 - 25% on companions with 5%crit chance (even less if it's less than 5%). I dont usually bother with companion crit chance cause it doesnt make a whole lot of diff and i craft with all 5 comps. It's a plus but not a necessity

  17. I'm in a world wide top 10 guild. My Marauders and Snipers are telling me a different story. So yeah, you aren't as smart as you think you are.

Accuracy is good up to a point, but that point comes with your earpieces and implants. Surge comes on everything and crit/surge enhancements and power/surge enhancements will always be better than accuracy/surge.

Yeah i agree with you but that's just my opinion of course. Also i read in Community Q&A: March 2nd 2012 i read that

CaptainJammo - Can you clarify the role of the Accuracy stat? Right now, it seems lackluster and/or unnecessary for many classes, yet it appears on all of their end game gear.

Georg Zoeller (Principal Lead Combat Designer): Accuracy counters your target's ability to defend (dodge, deflect, etc.) against your attacks. You are correct about the accuracy budget on the current end game gear being too generous for most scenarios - unless you are a dedicated tank killer in PvP, you probably do not need as much as you get from Rakata gear at the moment and you should consider swapping out some mods to support your preferred playstyle.

For the upcoming tier of new gear, we have an improved distribution of stats for both PvP and PvE gear.

  18. Dont think it makes a lot of diff unless ur making a s*itload of item for sale everyday (i do). I dont know what the base crit chance is but ill assume a humble 5% (pretty sure i get abt at least 5% crit with 0 affection comp with no crit chance). With 10k affection + no crit bonus u get 10% (5% aff. + base 5%) crit. 10k aff. + 2% crit bonus + base makes 12%. 10k aff. + 5%crit bonus + base makes 15%. I'll assume that if ppl are complaining of the crit chance they would at least have the comps at 10k affection, so the range is 10 - 15%. I personally find it easier to craft with all 5 comps rather than have 1 comp with the crit bonus do it. Have been observing the craft results of each comps and they made small diff, if any at all (I have all comps at 10k aff, ofc).

PS: Having said that, i wont complain if they gave us more crit chance =)
